    Staten Island Physician Practice
Fantastic office and staff. I have been a patient of theirs for over 20 years and they have gone through a revision within the last 10 and you make your appointment they give you time you are usually seen within 10 to 15 minutes of your scheduled time. There is waiting around or anything. Everyone is very courteous, very informative. They answer all your questions and I recommend them to people. At one point they were only a hit center but now they take various health insurance. For me they are fantastic. This is my primary care and any hospitalizations I have gone through them, special care I use a neurologist I do that through them. All at one place that is what makes it so great. I never had to really wait if I call when I need an appiontment I can see my physician within 2 to 3 days of making the call if it is not the same day. Great office environment. If I am trying to get a person may be its not the best day for them. I went through an aneurysm and these were my doctors who helped all the way through and got me back on my feet and everything and continued to monitor me. I would recommend them. Very good communication.

    Barbara Malach MD
I'm very happy with her because she's a specialist in gerontology. I like the fact that she's a specialist in gerontology. She's also does acupuncture so I think she's interested in preventive medicine and alternative medicine, which I think is good. She's open-minded. She seems to know a great deal about vitamins and nutrition. Of course, she gives this all to older people, which I am an older person. I think, at my age, is very important to go to a doctor that specializes in older people. Medicine is different when you're older. I haven't been going to her for very long but so far it's been fine. I usually don't have to wait that long for her.

    Philip Leo MD
I had to wait a bit to be seen (nearly an hour) however when I did get seen Dr. Leo and his staff were efficient and friendly He seemed knowledgeable and his bedside manner was quite good. I was very impressed with Dr. Leo and I would definitely see him again. I was particularly impressed that all the medical records and prescriptions were handled electronically.

    Barbara Malach MD
Dr. Malach's staff is extremely friendly and polite - a great change from most offices on the Island. Process was simple. I called, made an appointment, and was seen. (Seems like the way it should work, right?)
I had an early morning appoitnment, so I was seen on time. Dr. Malach did a full physical. I'm not totally satisfied with the way she responded to some of my concerns, but they weren't major concerns.
I will definitely keep using the office for my primary care.

    Dominic Pompa MD
Dr. Pompa is very compassionate and very kind. He is great. The only problem I had with them is that they overbook but that is getting better now. Dr. Pompa is an excellent doctor; he knows his stuff and is very, very kind. He looked at my arm that was bit by a spider once and immediately asked me if it was brown recluse spider and it was, that blew me away, I just could not believe it. I have been going to him for twenty years now, he has been really great with me, and I love him.

    Romashova, Dr. Veronika
I continually go to Dr Romashova and I've always been very pleased. She accepts my insurance, which many providers do not. When I entered, her office was very clean, open and bright. Her staff is very friendly too. I love the fact that she offers late night appointments. Dr Romashova spent a lot of time with me and was very courteous. I like her very much, and have referred my husband, mother, in-laws and friends to her.

    DiMaso & Strange MDs
The staff at DiMaso & Strange MDs is very professional and get back to me very quickly for any referrals or follow-ups or prescriptions. There is no problem getting an appointment as there are 2 doctors. I wait sometimes when there are a lot of patients.

    Lozah, Dr. Mamdouh
I was suffering from a sudden on-set of vertigo, and being new to the area (Staten Island), I called several doctors. I was finally referred to Dr. Lozah's clinic by another doctor's office. Dr. Lozah saw me right away. He performed a thorough examine, including blood work and x-rays, prescribe some OTC medication to alleviate my symptoms and called me back into his office within a few days to discuss his findings, and his recommendations for treatment. Unfortunately, he didn't find a cause for my vertigo, but attributed it to "chronic positional vertigo" meaning if I moved my head too fast I could experience it again. The symptoms have since subsided. Dr. Lozah also consulted with me on the blood work, specifically about lowering my cholesterol. He offered good, specific advice, encouragement, and instruction to eat better and exercise more regularly. If only I followed it completely. All 'round a good experience with a caring physician.

    Heartland Medical Services
I don?t see the same person every time but they are in the area where I live and they are convenient. They are there if you need help. Because you don?t see the same doctor every time you have to explain what?s wrong every time and why you?ve been before. They are available seven days a week but there are no appointments so their punctuality varies with the time of day.

    Mignola, Dr. Brian J.
The office always overbooked and you would routinely wait for 2-3.5 hours before being seen for 10 minutes. Then they would not have lab results available or lost the last set of bloods drawn. They also charge for "missed" appointments even though you called to cancel. The doctor seemed like a nice person but was too over whelmed and not very organized. I finally left the doctor's care, because of the lost bloodwork and long wait times, and told them that if they did not call me to tell me they actually had my lab results I was not coming in for my appointment. They did not return my call, then charged me for a "no show" even though I said I was not coming, and then put me in for "collection" because I refused to pay that penalty.
