    Top Woodwork corp.
The job was expedient and was able to fit into our busy work schedule. The first visit was not only professional but productive as they took measurements needed for further work. From then it only took one day to install the closet despite its different varied sections. Such as, a hidden rolling bookshelf, drawers, tv space, shelves and top shelf space for bed covers.

    Seasoned Home Improvements
Perfect start to finish. The house was fully gutted in a weekend. We lived in the basement for the duration of the renovation that was going on upstairs. Since we were living there, dust control was key and seasoned home improvements made sure it was their #1 priority. They gave us an open concept floor plan which made such a big difference in a small ranch with limited living space. We added recessed lighting throughout the house, a new kitchen, a new bathroom, we sanded and stained our existing hardwood floors, added all new interior doors and trim, we had beautiful crown and baseboard installed, custom closets, a new roof, installed a new front door and much more. Honestly too much to list!! Everything compeleted was beyond my expectations! We are very happy with the decision to update our run down ranch! It really needed it.

At the end of the day the expectation when you pay a professional to paint a room is that they would take the nails out of the wall. In the haste of what appeared to be that they booked two jobs at the same time my 3 day job was 4 days and not complete. Showing up at 9AM and leaving at 1PM. He looked shocked that I was not pleased with the paint job. He said "I thought you would just hang a curtain over it" Change orders that took place in the middle of the job was something that a professional would call out in advance of the work being started. For example, the wall that was put up required a baseboard, my baseboards are basic, once the work started he said that he could not find trim that matched my home and if wanted the room to match it would be $400. I went to Home Depot for my own curiosity and found something that matched, unfortunately after I paid him to do the work. Again, if this really was a problem and not a cash grab it would have been addressed during the estimate phase of the job. The closet system that I wanted installed was very involved. I emailed him photos and the directions that came with the system prior to the work starting fully expecting him to raise the price. He didn't do that until day four. Ultimately he did not install the system because some of the parts were damaged, not his fault. However maybe he should have opened the box on day one to check it out. Again the work was involved and he clearly did not want to do it. They also did nothing to keep the work space clean and left behind a lot of garbage. On the positive the quality of the work completed regarding the build out of the closet was very good. If you choose to retain do so with caution and make sure you stay home and stand over him and his staff the entire time. I did short pay him about $100 for the bad paint job, I should have kept back more. When I told him that I would be giving him a bad review he said he would dispute it. You can't dispute nails in the wall that are painted over.

    Total Master Contracting LLC
TotalMaster is the best company by far. Unlike many contractors Vinny, the boss, is reasonable in pricing but does top shelf work. He is a kind person who strives to be the best and reliable. You cannot go wrong with Total Master.

    GianFranco Contracting Service
From beginning to end it was a pleasure working with George and his workers. The finished product was much better than I even imagined. He is a great guy, very professional and a perfectionist. His workers are great! They are polite, friendly and very respectful. I really can't say enough good things about them. They were all very respectful with my elderly parents and every day they cleaned up before they left for the day! I would and plan on hiring Gianfranco Contracting again and I recommend them.

    Dunrite Design Group Inc.
John and his crew did a nice job renovating our wrecked old kitchen (wrecked by previous owners). The new and old features blend well with each other and our old house generally. Vast improvement. Not the easiest job: Our house has lots of steps and bad parking, but the guys stayed good humored. We are hoping to have them return to do exterior work.

    GianFranco Contracting Service
I have used Gianfranco Contracting previously to re-finish my basement.  I love working with them.  George Gianfranco is a wonderful, honest and hardworking person who has spent many hours in my home and has never disappointed me with his work.  His crew, Dave and John, are also wonderful.  They did a beautiful job and because of them, my house sold so easily.  I would not hesitate to use their services again.
My only regret is that it took me so long to write this review and to let them know how thrilled I was with their work.

    GianFranco Contracting Service

In the past, I've had several difficult experiences with contractors so when I needed my basement done, I joined Angie's List and checked the reviews for contractors in my area.  The ratings  for Gianfranco were excellent so I called for an estimate.  George Paternostro came to give the estimate and explained the options that were available, what he would recommend and why.  He was very patient, answered many questions, worked with my budget and made me feel very comfortable with how he performs his work. I decided to have Gianfranco Contracting finish my basement.

I am very happy I did.  The work was done beautifully and my husband and I are really happy with the way the basement came out.  There was a three man team: George, John and Dave.  They were all terrific.  All three were very professional,  friendly and worked hard to complete the job in a timely manner.  Not only was their work beautiful, but they are so neat.  Each night everything was cleaned up and at the end of the job the basement was left meticulously.  George, John and Dave show such respect for their work and the people that hire them.

I can't say enough good things about them.  I would not hesitate to use Gianfranco's contracting services again nor would I hesitate to recommend them to anyone who asked if I knew a good contractor.  I thank them for making this such a good experience.

They did an excellent job. They used quality materials and their cabinetry is solid wood. They use quality workmanship as well and the place looks beautiful. They were here every day and they were very punctual and dependable. I am very pleased with this company and would highly recommend them. I will definitely use them again.

Mr. Handyman of S. Orange/Westfield/Scotch Plains & Metuchen
Dennis arrived on time and was prepared to get right to work once I showed him what I wanted done, even though neither he nor anyone from his company had seen the job before then.  He worked here for two full days without a helper.  None of the time was spent shopping, with the result that he didn't sheet rock the walls he framed, but he had enough lumber from the wall he took out, t o frame out what was needed.  When I visited the job, several times each day, he tended to talk to me rather than keep working, so I left him alone most of the time. Nevertheless he had a number of good suggestions, a few of which I followed.  It was easy to review and plan the work with him.
The expense for one skilled worker for two days was ridiculously high, but having read previous reviews for Mr Handyman I was prepared.  The hourly rate was fully disclosed in advance.  Dennis was pleasant enough, and got me over a hump in my renovation.

Later when other workmen followed, much of his work had to be redone and the word "amateurish" was used to describe his work.I would not use him or anyone from "Mr. Handyman" again.
