    Envirostar Corp
Envirostar recently removed a 550 oil tank that was approximately 45 years old and was installed when our home was first built. The tank was located in the front of the home near the foundation. I decided to have it removed proactively given the focus on buried tanks, specifically, the difficulty to sell a home with one, the potential for a leak and the massive clean-up cost, and the difficulty of getting a competitive insurance rate when you have one. Envirostar replaced the tank with a 400 gallon Roth double wall tank on the side of the house. The entire process took about a month from the date that Mark came to initially spec out the job. He was great to deal with, laying out the various options we had for where the new tank could go as well as the process for removing the old tank. He was extremely knowledgeable, and explained what he viewed were the difficult parts of the job (mainly the location of the old tank), but assured us that they would take care of it. He even told me that although the Roth tank that I wanted (my choice) was a great tank, that if I wanted to save some money, there were other tanks he could recommend. It was obvious he wasn't trying to up sell me, and was concerned with trying to save us as much money as he could. He gave us two separate quotes for each of the two options for the tank location and we agreed to the contract a couple days later. After we signed the contract, the office arranged for all of the permits to be filed. Everything was very smooth and they were very helpful. They came about a week before the tank was to be pulled and poured a concrete pad for the new tank. The day we were scheduled for the old tank to be removed, the team showed up right at 8AM (in fact 5 minutes early). They spoke to me initially and explained what the process and confirmed with me that I was not aware of any water lines or electrical lines before they started. Of course, with all projects, sometimes you hit some unknowns, and this project was no different. While digging the old tank out, they hit a PVC pipe that drains our gutter water into the backyard. I had no idea it was there and it ran directly over the old tank They were very prepared, and actually had PVC pipe on the truck and were able to repair the pipe after they removed the tank. After digging to the top of the tank, they brought a tanker to the house which they used to siphon the oil out and into the new tank that they installed. This was nice as we still had a few hundred gallons of oil in the old tank. They then removed the old tank. I have attached some pictures from throughout the day. By 4:30, they were done. They cleaned up, back filling the hole with fresh dirt. I would highly recommend this Company if you need to have your in ground tank removed. They were extremely professional and I was very impressed with how efficient they worked.

They've been really awesome. I've used them for a bunch of stuff subsequently. They've been really, really great. They're really good at keeping me updated on timing. They were very communicative. Their work is fantastic. They fixed like a really bad handyman job I had done. They're really easy to work with and their pricing is really good too. They're really good on letting me know about changes ahead of time and rescheduling me promptly.

    Basement Solutions LLC
We looked into having this done about 6 years ago and just didn't feel like we were knowledgable enough to make the right choice. We got a range of quotes and we couldn't decide if any of the businesses were reliable. We attempted this again since the problem had gotten progressivly worse and used Angie's List. Basement Solutions had a great rating and it's well deserved. Bill is the owner and the face that comes to your door, assesses the problem and gives the quote. He's also the one who makes sure the work is done as promsied.
The crew showed up on time, did everything they agreed and then some, plus they left the basement in perfect condition. it's been a long rainy month since the work was done and there hasn't been a hint of water. Couldn't be happier and we are delighted to have worked with such a professional business.

Joe was a very nice man and extremely helpful. He explained my problem isn't due to a waterproofing issue and he didn't want to waste my money. He recommended we find a mason. He even told me I can contact him to get his opinion or perspective after we speak with a mason. I will take his advice and check out masons on Angie's list.

    Budget Dry Waterproofing Inc
He diagnosed it very quickly. Within a few minutes he said it is not coming from their side, it is coming from the pipe and we went upstairs and said it is from the powder room. He was quick and accurate. The first guy wanted $12,000. This guy didn't say he wanted $5,000. We would have thought that was a good deal. He showed how awful the first guy was. He was great. There were no problems.

    Elmir's Lawn Maintenance & Excavating
After three power failures over the past 18 months, each of which lasted several days (power outage from Sandy lasted 9 days), I decided to install a standby generator. By the time the town got around to issuing the necessary permits, it was January, the temperature had been near zero for several days, and the ground was frozen solid. Most contractors would have said nothing could be done until the spring when the ground had thawed. Not Elmir. He knew exactly what to do and how to do it. He and his men dug a two foot deep and 100 foot long trench for the power line from the site of the generator to the house and a second 50 foot long trench for a propane line from an existing buried tank to the generator. To get the power line to the house it was necessary to dig the trench across a gravel driveway. Emir dug the trench across the drive, laid the PVC piping for the electric line, and back filled by the end of the day so that my wife and I were able to get our cars in and out with only a minimum of inconvenience. Because of the cold weather and subsequent snow storms he was unable to properly finish off the grading on the rest of the trenching but will be back in the spring to do it. Of this I have no doubt. I highly recommend him

    Elmir's Lawn Maintenance & Excavating
Elmir and his company did a great job for me.  In 2010 I started putting an addition onto my house.  He came with is backhoe and dug and back filled the foundation.  He brought gravel and leveled the floor so the masons cound install the concerte.  He then dug a big dry well that ten engineers plans called for to comply with the Planning Board requirements.  He ran all the pipes and installed large drainage basins and a swale in the back yard.   He worked quickly with as little disruption to my family as could be expected.  He also rebuilt a rough stone wall back in 2009.  It turned out just the way I wanted it.
For the last 11 winters Elmir has plowed the snow from my driveway.  He always does a little extra to make sure the driveway is really clean.  It is a bit noisy when he comes at 5am but its worth it knowing I can get out without any problem.  He came with his backhoe one year to clear the sides of the road as some much snow build up.  It was good to know he had the equipment to do that job when I needed him to.

    J & J Home Improvement
It took about an hour and half, and $400. I called him a week later as the colors did not match, and he said it still needed to dry. I gave him the benefit of the doubt. I called him back as the work was unsatisfactory, and he told me he would come take a look at it. He took a look at told me he would paint the foundation to make up for it. This was not acceptable for me. I gave him ample time to correct the mistakes, which he did not. I would like my money back as he has no reasonable solution.
