Two days before Thanksgiving one of my boiler stop working and my family and I had no heat, It was really cold, so next morning I start calling companies that I found online but could not find someone who can come out the same day and give us an estimate. I decided to joined Angies' List and I found this company and two others. The owner answered the phone and told me he can be at my home in two hours. After inspecting the boiler he told me that I need to replace it because it was about 30 years old which is true. I ask him how much it will cost and he made a few phone calls and got me a price for the best brand as I requested. I told him I will get back to him before 3 p.m as I was expecting other estimates. The other estimates were very expensive than what this company quoted. I decided to hire this company and the next day I had heat. He called the same night to make sure it is working properly and even the next day. I will recommend this company to anyone. Two weeks later we had this company replace the second boiler and he did another great job and his price was really good.

    CHC Air Specialists
CHC was prompt and courteous. I appreciated their accountability and prompt response to my questions. We had a little mix in the date of service but got that sorted out promptly. I liked their professional manner, the fact that they were willing to refund if I was not happy with the service. The technician came out, inspected everything and gave me the recommendations which I thought were reasonable. He was pleasant and courteous.  Overall I was happy with the service and would use again.

I personally replaced a circulating water pump in my home because it wasn't running.  I checked everything ( i thought) and still didn't run.  I checked Angies list for top reviewed plumbing service providers and decided to give Big Apple plumbing a shot.  I spoke with Carol and explained the situation and told her I'm off this week only, can someone come out this week.  Carol delighted me in telling me someone will be out there from 1-4 pm.  They arrived approximately at 1:45pm and I explained what happened to Ken and he got right to work.  He tested the electric going to pump and said there wasn't enough power.  He checked the junction box and discovered a loose wire! He fixed it within 20 minutes, checked the boiler and pump to make sure everything was working.
While he was here I asked him if he had time to fix a angle radiator valve that was leaking upstairs in one of the bedrooms.  He went upstairs checked it and replaced the part. ( I supplied the part )  He was here maybe 1.5 hours total !
    Great guy, friendly, professional.
    $ 185 to rewire ( included service call )
$ 200 to replace radiator valve
    Thank you Carol and Ken

Not long ago I had my boiler installed by another company and when all was said and done I couldn't control my own heat in my basement apartment anymore.  So in the middle of the night I would wake up freezing and had to go to the upstairs apartment to turn up the thermostat so I could get heat!  I repeatedly told the other company and they did nothing or didn't want to.
While ken was here the other day fixing something else I explained to him the situation and he told me what needed to be done.  He quoted me $750.  I thought about it after he left because thats pretty expensive.  I decided to go ahead with the project.  Again Carol was great at arranging the service because I was only available this week.
Ken came in and did his thing.  I tested everything before he left as did he and I'm very happy with the work.
Especially that I don't have to worry about heat in my apartment anymore.  It is properly regulated with the thermostat, like it was originally !
Big Apple Plumbing are true professionals , Ken is outstanding!!  I had other potential plumbing problems and asked for pricing to replace and he said it all looks good don't waste money if you don't have too!  If it breaks call me, but for now save your money go to Great Adventure or something and have fun.  : )
This young man was definitely raised right, Big Apple Plumbing is lucky to have him.
Big Apple and Ken are my Plumbers from now on!!
Thanks again to Carol and Ken

We called them last year, when they came they said a lot of work needed to be done. But they would only do the work to pass the inspection. They charged me $1000. They completed the boiler inspection, but said they would have to complete the rest when they come back. They never came back to finish.

We had to call them again this year because we are on a deadline for an inspection and things still need to be updated. I figured it would be good for them to work on what they started last year. I tried calling for a month. I left messages and even when speaking with a representative there was excuse after excuse. We finally had an appointment scheduled and the day of, I called to verify they were on their way and the voice mail said they were on vacation. I have left a message with them stating I was not happy that they have not been responding and missed an appointment they scheduled.

    Petro Home Services
Everything went great. They beat a couple competitor’s prices. They matched one of the best boilers out there on the market. I purchased a Pierless. Their customer service was great. The installation took a little long and there were some incorrections with it but they came back to make sure everything was correct and they correct it themselves.

We have a two-year old central air-conditioning systems which has required recharging with refrigerant for two consecutive summers, indicating that there is a leak in the system due to faulty installation by Sears, the company that sold and installed the equipment. We called the original company to determine the source of the leak, but they insisted that if there is a problem, it was not covered by the warranty. They were very arrogant, and refused to help, because they claimed that their job was just to repair the main air-conditioning unit, and we should call the people who installed the equipment. Although I reminded them that they were the ones who installed the system, they insisted that it was not their job to find any leak, if there is any. This year, we called National Grid to check the system, we were given an appointment more than a week later. I took off from work on the Monday that they were supposed to come, but they did not show up. When I called up, I disappeared from their list, and I was given another appointment for the following week. Meanwhile, my husband found the leak. When the man from National Grid came, he wanted to charge us $425 just to do a leak test, even if we already found the leak. The repair and freon, in addition to the leak test, would have cost us an enormous sum of money. When we called People's Choice, they showed up that same day. Rafik, Vishnu, and another man, all three showed up at the same time, ready to do the job. They were extremely pleasant and listened to me. When I showed them where we thought the leak was, they did their own quick test and confirmed our assessment. They wanted to complete the job that same evening, but they had to get a part from a supply store that had already closed for the day. They returned as promised the next day, a little late, but then the air conditioner would not start. They went to the attic and found the fuses were blown. Rafik had to run to the store to get new fuses, returned, and completed their job that night. Although, it took them extra time to get and replace the fuses, they did not add to their original estimate. They were most pleasant, very professional and knowledgeable. They explained that they cannot just add freon, but it would be necessary to completely remove the old freon from the system, before recharging it. You knew right away that their main concern was to satisfy their customer. I would definitely hire them again to install a ductless system in our basement next summer. And I will cancel my service contract with National Grid, because it does not cover anything outside my brand new air-conditioning unit, which is already covered by the supposed ten-year warranty from Sears. My husband and I are extremely pleased with this first experience with Angie's list and with People's Choice. We will surely use both of them for any service needs in the future.

The whole thing has been a nightmare. They are a terrible company. They are not responding at all to my letters or calls. They have basically left me with a lot of conditions that I now have to face and have redone. Their work was non-satisfactory and they should not do this to people.
