They did an excellent job inside of my house, so we discussed plans to work outside in my backyard. Their vision created an atmosphere in our home that our friends and family just can't get enough of! A huge patio with colored concrete and brick pavers. A outdoor bar that just amazing.

On a newly owned home, I was looking for a window treatment specialist on Angie's list. I came across Window Fashions by Andrew and read prior reviews. One mentioned "old school" "quality" and "the man". I was sold. Andrew is definitely a go to. I called him, and he is able to work around my schedule to come over and show me all the different options and collections he carries. He brought over samples, pictures, and the actual sample blinds. He carries all the Hunter Douglas and is a direct dealer if you want to go with the best. Just know if you're going with Hunter Douglas you'll pay a premium for it but it's worth the quality. With so many samples, my wife and I had a hard time choosing. He was patient with us and while we picked what we liked, he was measuring all the windows, by both laser and tape measure to get a precise and accurate fit. He takes three measurement, top, middle, and bottom, just in case some Windows aren't straight all the way down. When we got stuck picking, he was able to help us pick something. About three weeks later he came back and installed everything within an hour without a hitch. He showed me how to operate the blinds before he left. Never had a problem with it. It looks greats, thanks Andrew.

Ivan and Roman are very professional, and will explain what they are doing and why it is necessary.  They will make suggestions to accomplish the results you want and tell you if some request is unrealistic.  They moved the heavy furniture in the rooms to be worked on and cleaned up constantly to keep the dust and trash to a minimum.. They picked up and delivered the materials needed for the job, and removed the excess as an area or job was completed.  This is the second time I have used their services and have no complaints.

    Lowe's Home Improvement
Needed to replace a very large front window (5'x4'), informed at the store that since it is only one window, a base price would have to be charged. That price was agreed upon. Also needed a estimate done for a pitched roof over a door entrance. (History: window has never been replaced since my dad has lived in the home over 62 yrs, the roof has had shingles put over, but you can see that the frame of the roof was starting to sag).
The day for the estimate, no one showed. Called the store and was told that they have been trying to reach us and left 3 messages. My dad is 89 yrs old and hard of hearing. He erases all messages from the phone if he can't understand it. The gentleman on the phone informed me that the work on the house would not be worth the time or money to have anyone come out and look at the house. I said that it was understood that a base price for the front window would be charged and that was all right with us. He said that the final cost for the window could be over $1000.00 dollars, again I said okay. He still balked about coming out. Was also told that the roof was just too small to justify looking at. He researched the home on Google Earth. (Doubt if Google Earth could see how rotten the wood is underneath). So at that point I told the gentleman that he and his services would not be needed, and while in mid sentence, he hung up on  me. My dad now goes to Home Depot.

Ivan and Roman were very professional in their approach to the work and adapted to additional jobs which I added as they were working.  They came and inspected the job site the next day following my call  and gave me a decent estimate and explained exactly what they needed to do to accomplish what I was requesting.  I was very pleased with their work on my bathroom and kitchen so I added the flooring of  the kitchen, dining room and living room to their work load.  They helped in selecting the proper materials at a good price from the job, and completed the new work without any delays, adapting their schedule to meet my needs.  I am very happy with their work, and a few minor exceptions I found were quickly corrected to my satisfaction.  I intend to use them again next year for further renovations.

    Milan Painting Corp.
I needed painting and plaster repair work done on my elderly parents home and through Angie's list found " Milan Painting" listed and rated as an excellent contractor. I left my phone number and they immediately got back to me and set up an appointment. " Right on time',Roberto and son Ariel arrived, walked through the house accessing the job, giving suggestions, and explained specific repair methods they would perform. They offered paint options based on their experience and gave recommendations for specific uses like the bathroom as well as the other rooms. I appreciated them giving me information about brand quality and price in order for me to make an informed decision. We agreed upon a price that was very reasonable and fair and a start date was set up.
Roberto and two other crew members showed up on time and immediately, " a well seasoned team", started moving furniture and putting down protective tarps. I was amazed how " meticulous and professional" they were working. They would ask me from time to time to check on their progress and that all was satisfactory. Which it was!
The ceilings and walls that were re-plasterd/skim-coated were allowed to cure overnight while they worked on other areas. At the end of day two they were finished and the transformation was amazing. Roberto assured me multiple times that if anything was not satisfactory he would "come back and make it right because, It's his job"!
What a pleasure to do business with an honest and decent family....

    Custom Windows & Doors Inc
It went well. Took time. The guy had to figuring out how to place wood over brick so it doesn't bow out on the top of the door. He put the capping in a way that when water hits it ,it acts like a drip edge. I was concerned but it looks like it will work. He caulked the capping to the AC so no water gets behind it.

    Gaudioso Contracting
I apologize for this much-delayed review of a remarkable complex home renovation.  Anthony Gaudioso gave the most reasonable estimate among several contractors  for a major home renovation project.  His recommendations reflect great wisdom, understanding, and genuine care for his customers' needs. For example, when I told him I needed a heavy duty floor that can withstand heavy traffic for many years, he suggested porcelain tiles which I've never heard of before.  Now, my entire house has porcelain tiles which are very strong and beautiful.  All our friends and relatives are amazed at how easy they are to clean and how unique they look.
He assigned a very able and knowledgeable foreman, Luis,  to oversee the entire job.  The workers were all hardworking, very pleasant, and eager to please.  The entire crew was highly skilled in their respective jobs - from demolition of walls and floors, carpentry, plastering, plumbing, painting, electrical work, installation of fixtures and appliances, installation of bathtub, toilets, sinks, new kitchen,  new windows and doors, floor and wall tiles, etc. They encountered major plumbing and drainage problems which they skillfully corrected.  I also had a water leak into my basement causing mold to develop in one closet.  They corrected the problem by digging outside up to the foundation and placing concrete in front of my house to prevent any recurrent water seepage. They also converted my open porch to a beautiful enclosed porch which has become our mudroom during the winter and rainy seasons.  All the details were done to my complete satisfaction.  My entire family is very happy with our new home.  My husband and I are very happy that we now have a home that is ready to serve us through our retirement years.  The entire job took about 5 months to complete.
We did choose and purchase our own tiles, appliances, and fixtures, which I believe is a great idea, since the owner knows best what he wants and what he can afford.
This past month, I hired this contractor again to assemble an 8 x 11 storage shed in my backyard, to assemble a 16-ft freestanding Sunsetter awning, fix a defect on my kitchen back doorstep, check a possible leak in my roof, and install a new light source with switch in my backyard.  Luis carefully checked the roof, the attic, and found no defect.  All this work was completed to perfection in less than two days!
