    MKP Electrical Corp
He was always respectful and pleasant. The work was extensive; however, he completed the work in a timely fashion even though I added extra outlets and a ceiling fan. The extra items were done as a courtesy. He also corrected a few boxes that were installed incorrectly at no extra charge. I highly recommend him. Mike did this work a few years ago; however, we are adding a second floor and we hired MKP Electrical Corp to wire the new structure.

    Gaudioso Contracting
I apologize for this much-delayed review of a remarkable complex home renovation.  Anthony Gaudioso gave the most reasonable estimate among several contractors  for a major home renovation project.  His recommendations reflect great wisdom, understanding, and genuine care for his customers' needs. For example, when I told him I needed a heavy duty floor that can withstand heavy traffic for many years, he suggested porcelain tiles which I've never heard of before.  Now, my entire house has porcelain tiles which are very strong and beautiful.  All our friends and relatives are amazed at how easy they are to clean and how unique they look.
He assigned a very able and knowledgeable foreman, Luis,  to oversee the entire job.  The workers were all hardworking, very pleasant, and eager to please.  The entire crew was highly skilled in their respective jobs - from demolition of walls and floors, carpentry, plastering, plumbing, painting, electrical work, installation of fixtures and appliances, installation of bathtub, toilets, sinks, new kitchen,  new windows and doors, floor and wall tiles, etc. They encountered major plumbing and drainage problems which they skillfully corrected.  I also had a water leak into my basement causing mold to develop in one closet.  They corrected the problem by digging outside up to the foundation and placing concrete in front of my house to prevent any recurrent water seepage. They also converted my open porch to a beautiful enclosed porch which has become our mudroom during the winter and rainy seasons.  All the details were done to my complete satisfaction.  My entire family is very happy with our new home.  My husband and I are very happy that we now have a home that is ready to serve us through our retirement years.  The entire job took about 5 months to complete.
We did choose and purchase our own tiles, appliances, and fixtures, which I believe is a great idea, since the owner knows best what he wants and what he can afford.
This past month, I hired this contractor again to assemble an 8 x 11 storage shed in my backyard, to assemble a 16-ft freestanding Sunsetter awning, fix a defect on my kitchen back doorstep, check a possible leak in my roof, and install a new light source with switch in my backyard.  Luis carefully checked the roof, the attic, and found no defect.  All this work was completed to perfection in less than two days!

Everything went fine.  The work was done in only a few minutes.  Have called them before and they are one of the few electricians who will do small jobs on an as need basis.
I am certain that I will call them again for other jobs as well.

    Adanuncio Electric Inc
I chose him because of the good reviews he got on this list. He came at time he said he would, and took 2 hours to complete all the work. I had not asked him to replace the switch and outlet covers because I had not thought of it, but he noticed all the covers were missing when he installed a grounded outlet in my living room. So I gave him all the covers that I had and he installed them on the outlets and switches. I was very pleased with his work and his pleasant manner.

    Danconia Interiors
We interviewed multiple contractors including references and friends, and big famous name companies. We could not come up with the right solution for our apartment and when we interviewed Danconia were much more satisfied with the intelligence and time expenditure that they were willing to spend our our project. They combine design with contracting, draw great 3D computer models, and have an approach where they work personally with the client, and do not balk at visiting the apartment and communicating extensively. They are different from other contractors in being more educated and impressive in the way they approach the project. They had good, creative ideas on how to change our apartment. They were also rigorous and educated about what would need to be done to achieve the options we were looking at. Their estimated timing for the project was actually correct- they did not exceed it.
Danconia's solution of combining part of our dining area with our bedroom really changed the way we use our space and has improved the way it looks. They hire hard-working, good guys whom we were satisfied with. The kitchen and bathroom work was done in a stellar way.  The custom cabinets were good quality and have a great modern style. The kitchen looks like it is from an expensive high end magazine though its cost for us was lower. The tile work in the bathroom and kitchen took them a while, they were very detailed, but it was immaculately done. We love our new shower.
The apartment looks a lot better with the ceiling higher (minimized soffits, no recessed lights, etc)- This was Danconia's suggestion to expand the space, and it really worked. The new wood floor is a great improvement to the main living room area.
Their custom pieces were built with a great style and look beautiful.
What was irritating is that the tile that we ordered- it came in 2 weeks late and delayed some of the work. We ordered it (not Danconia). I also regret the under-counter fridge versus just a regular fridge. We wanted to conserve on space but the under-counter fridge is really insufficient. Danconia had told us that the under-counter option would be smaller. We also wish we actually made the custom built pieces of slightly different dimensions, to fit some different things. The custom closets are very useful, but we could have chosen a different layout out of those Danconia was offering- we have now realized that we actually need more shoe-space than we had built. However overall we are happy with the renovation and realize these are minor issues.
We recommend this company because they are good to work with (pleasant people), you can trust them to be very concerned and involved in the project throughout, they have good design ideas, are fast in their response, and their work is high-end quality.

    Mr. Handyman of NE Queens
Marco had been to my house one time before, and in these 2nd and 3rd appointments, he continued with the jobs that I had added to my original list from the first visit. When he came, we went over the jobs to be done, and he made a list of the supplies he needed to buy. He started first on the jobs for which he had all the supplies, so that he could make his trip to the hardware store at the same time he went out for lunch. All of these jobs, whether it was a more difficult and time consuming one (sawing off the bottom lip of kitchen cabinet), or the simplest (removing diffuser for cleaning), he did in a very professional manner. He was attentive to detail, he was courteous, and his work is very neat! At the end of the 2 days, I was very pleased that he got all these jobs done!

The whole thing has been a nightmare. They are a terrible company. They are not responding at all to my letters or calls. They have basically left me with a lot of conditions that I now have to face and have redone. Their work was non-satisfactory and they should not do this to people.
