    Nunez Construction and Painting
It went very well. Contract was emailed outlining project and cost with start date and estimate of time it should take. Crew showed up right on time both days and were very courteous. I was very impressed by the skill of their cementing, particularly with the care they took to cornering and laying lines straight and sanding it down to a smooth finish. They were also very neat, cleaning up after themselves and left the area spotless.

.But they gained my respectthe work was done seeirst of all Lawrence called me and asked what did i need done when i told him he said that would not be a problem. He told me to buy the materials and his men would install it you see I'm a paraplegic and cannot, get store easily,Well they sent Ivan who is a very nice fellow he and simmon came to the house did some measurements told me they would go to homedepot and buy the door they called me to say that they could not find it and would have to make something up.Well they called me on the 3rd and asked me could the come on the 4th at 2pm I agreed low an behold they were at my door at 130 ready to work . The work was done and they even went over the 4hrs put did not charge me.I thought that was real thoughtful of them professionally and in a timely fashion but what I liked about them was i left them upstairs by themselves and because I'm a paraplegic and can't walk nobody was their to oversee their work. But their work has earned my respect and trust" and I will tell anyone who reads this their name speaks for it self HIRE THEM you won't regret it.

    Custom Windows & Doors Inc
Everything went well. The workers are great at what they do. I had 3 problems that val personally came out to address. 1. I wanted satin nickel hardware and the door company sent gold. 2. The peephole was installed 5 inches too high, it was useless, I live in a step down basement. 3. The door sill was just floating and bowed in when anyone stepped on it. No support under it. Val came back himself and installed the satin nickel hinges and fixed the peephole problem. He installed a satin nickel door knocker in place of the wrongly placed peephole and drilled a hole and installed a new peephole that I can actually reach and see through. The guys came out a week later and fixed the door sill situation. Now everyone can step on it and it supports our weights and doesn't bow in. The door looks beautiful. The door knocker makes the door look even better. I give them a B for price because that pretty costly. Val will say....but it's custom

It went well. Took time. The guy had to figuring out how to place wood over brick so it doesn't bow out on the top of the door. He put the capping in a way that when water hits it ,it acts like a drip edge. I was concerned but it looks like it will work. He caulked the capping to the AC so no water gets behind it.

    Gaudioso Contracting
I apologize for this much-delayed review of a remarkable complex home renovation.  Anthony Gaudioso gave the most reasonable estimate among several contractors  for a major home renovation project.  His recommendations reflect great wisdom, understanding, and genuine care for his customers' needs. For example, when I told him I needed a heavy duty floor that can withstand heavy traffic for many years, he suggested porcelain tiles which I've never heard of before.  Now, my entire house has porcelain tiles which are very strong and beautiful.  All our friends and relatives are amazed at how easy they are to clean and how unique they look.
He assigned a very able and knowledgeable foreman, Luis,  to oversee the entire job.  The workers were all hardworking, very pleasant, and eager to please.  The entire crew was highly skilled in their respective jobs - from demolition of walls and floors, carpentry, plastering, plumbing, painting, electrical work, installation of fixtures and appliances, installation of bathtub, toilets, sinks, new kitchen,  new windows and doors, floor and wall tiles, etc. They encountered major plumbing and drainage problems which they skillfully corrected.  I also had a water leak into my basement causing mold to develop in one closet.  They corrected the problem by digging outside up to the foundation and placing concrete in front of my house to prevent any recurrent water seepage. They also converted my open porch to a beautiful enclosed porch which has become our mudroom during the winter and rainy seasons.  All the details were done to my complete satisfaction.  My entire family is very happy with our new home.  My husband and I are very happy that we now have a home that is ready to serve us through our retirement years.  The entire job took about 5 months to complete.
We did choose and purchase our own tiles, appliances, and fixtures, which I believe is a great idea, since the owner knows best what he wants and what he can afford.
This past month, I hired this contractor again to assemble an 8 x 11 storage shed in my backyard, to assemble a 16-ft freestanding Sunsetter awning, fix a defect on my kitchen back doorstep, check a possible leak in my roof, and install a new light source with switch in my backyard.  Luis carefully checked the roof, the attic, and found no defect.  All this work was completed to perfection in less than two days!

    Danconia Interiors
We interviewed multiple contractors including references and friends, and big famous name companies. We could not come up with the right solution for our apartment and when we interviewed Danconia were much more satisfied with the intelligence and time expenditure that they were willing to spend our our project. They combine design with contracting, draw great 3D computer models, and have an approach where they work personally with the client, and do not balk at visiting the apartment and communicating extensively. They are different from other contractors in being more educated and impressive in the way they approach the project. They had good, creative ideas on how to change our apartment. They were also rigorous and educated about what would need to be done to achieve the options we were looking at. Their estimated timing for the project was actually correct- they did not exceed it.
Danconia's solution of combining part of our dining area with our bedroom really changed the way we use our space and has improved the way it looks. They hire hard-working, good guys whom we were satisfied with. The kitchen and bathroom work was done in a stellar way.  The custom cabinets were good quality and have a great modern style. The kitchen looks like it is from an expensive high end magazine though its cost for us was lower. The tile work in the bathroom and kitchen took them a while, they were very detailed, but it was immaculately done. We love our new shower.
The apartment looks a lot better with the ceiling higher (minimized soffits, no recessed lights, etc)- This was Danconia's suggestion to expand the space, and it really worked. The new wood floor is a great improvement to the main living room area.
Their custom pieces were built with a great style and look beautiful.
What was irritating is that the tile that we ordered- it came in 2 weeks late and delayed some of the work. We ordered it (not Danconia). I also regret the under-counter fridge versus just a regular fridge. We wanted to conserve on space but the under-counter fridge is really insufficient. Danconia had told us that the under-counter option would be smaller. We also wish we actually made the custom built pieces of slightly different dimensions, to fit some different things. The custom closets are very useful, but we could have chosen a different layout out of those Danconia was offering- we have now realized that we actually need more shoe-space than we had built. However overall we are happy with the renovation and realize these are minor issues.
We recommend this company because they are good to work with (pleasant people), you can trust them to be very concerned and involved in the project throughout, they have good design ideas, are fast in their response, and their work is high-end quality.

    Mr. Handyman of NE Queens
Larry was extremely responsive, pleasant and professional. He scheduled the repairs ina timely manner. George , who came out to do the work was competent, pleasant and professional as well. He arrived on time, worked hard, didn't waste time and did a great job. The garage door was a particularly difficult because it hadn't been done in years and has a lot on detail work. George did an amazing job with that. He did a good job putting in the security door but I think he may have not measured it properly because he ended up having to put a wood piece in on the side.
