    Mike Maitino of M & M Appliance Repair was referred to us after Marcella's Appliances were able to diagnose a leak with our 6 yr old Bosch dishwasher. Mike was able to diagnose the problem within 20 minutes. He ordered the part and came back 2 days later to install the part. He was prompt and professional.

    I found in both instances, Adam was right on the mark when showing up for the scheduled appointments. His vehicle was spotless, to go along with his tool box being very organized and well stocked, with the proper tools needed to evaluate the issues that he was called on to look at. As well he introduced himself and was very contentious of our home and the appliances that he was working on, making sure that everything was put back together properly. I found that Adam was very efficient in his time spent at our home. He explained exactly what was wrong with each of the appliances. In the repair of the Dishwasher, Adam had the required part in stock, which saved time of ordering it from a parts distributor. You will not find a better person to service your appliances. As a business owner, Adam takes pride in the quality of work that he performs and it shows. Great job Adam!

    Excellent. John is honest and reliable. Repaired a machine that's been otherwise working very well. Gives a senior citizen discount, but the cost of service is still pricey. It's understandable because there's not much anyone can do about labor costs or the cost of parts.

    Earl B Feiden Appliance Inc
    On Oct 1 2015 I called Earl Feiden's after noticing a large ad in the New York Times regarding recalls on Bosch dishwashers.
    I checked the Bosch website and my dishwasher was subject to recall for fire danger and cord attachment needed to be replaced.
    I spent 45 minutes on hold waiting to talk to the folks on the Bosch 800 number to find out what to do.  They told me there was no cost to me,  I just had to call my choice of vendors for the repair.  She mentioned 2 vendors and then Feiden's.  I said, great, I made this and other purchases at Feiden's and was sure they can take care of this.
    So I call Feiden's and spoke to a young women.   I explained the situation to her and that I purchased the dishwasher at Feiden's.  She checked and said there was nothing she could do because they had not been notified of the recall.   She said she needed specific information.  I told her the Bosch folks told me I needed no additional information and that the vendors knew what to do.  She said, I would have to call Bosch again.   When I told her I had just spent 45 minutes on hold and another 15 minutes talking to Bosch, she said there was nothing she could do.   I told her she could check the Bosch website for the information.   She could also check the New York Times ad.   She said she could do none of the things I suggested.    I asked if she could take my information, check further and get back to me and she said "sorry there is just nothing we can do."   Direct quote by the way.  
    Wow, what customer service.  I then called one of the other service providers for the recall.  They said no problem.  They would take my information and get back to me when they had all the information they required and could schedule the repair.  They got back to me within a couple days and scheduled and provided the simple repair.
    Meanwhile, I cooled off for a couple months and decided I should let Feiden's know about this.  So in early Dec 2015, I called and asked to speak to the service manager.   I left a detailed message, a polite one by the way, and asked that they call me.  I received no response whatsoever.  So there was nothing they could do initially and they do not care enough to improve their customer service with helpful input from customers.
    Let me say I have a strong preference for local providers, but this was so substandard, I will never consider purchasing from them again.
    They were happy enough when I called with the exact model numbers of appliance I wanted and purchased them.  But any extra effort was too much for them to help me out with my prior purchase.
    Never, never again.

    I truly can not imagine what the Whirlpool Corporation is doing.  We feel the repair service they sent us to is a scam.  To add insult to injury, Whirlpool Corporation phoned  us to offer us a discounted new stove.  (I note that they matched Lowe's price on the model they offered to sell us.)  I saved the message on my phone. I have to wonder if this is even legal, and why would we buy anything from Whirlpool?

    Bill Rozell Piano Tuning
    I was able to make an appointment with Bill, with just a day's notice.  He was prompt, professional, and very patient with my many questions.  He was unable to bring the pitch up to the standard, and this is not uncommon for a piano that has been neglected.  The repairs cost a little more, but I found the price quite reasonable.  It took him about 2 hours, but I will call him again in about 6 months, when he will raise the pitch another half tone, at which point the piano should sound even better, and only require a tuning once a year, to maintain its peak performance.  I was more than pleased with the experience.

    COLONIE SHOE REPAIR
    The woman who helped me (I assume the owner) did a great job fixing the heels of my shoes. She made them slightly larger which now gives me more support. She had me tell her when I wanted to pick them up (I said I'd come back exactly one week later). The shoes were ready, cleaned up and the cost was only $8! I would have never found or used this place without reading from others on Angie's List - glad I did!

    Pauls Appliance Repairs
    My dishwasher stopped working and the control panel was not functioning. I called Paul's and they returned my call within an hour. They set up an appointment for the earliest time that I was available. I received a call when they were on their way to my house. Service staff was prompt, courteous and clean. He diagnosed the problem and gave me a very reasonable quote for parts and labor. I had looked up the cost of the parts on the internet and I knew that there was no price gouging. The service person went to get the part from the supplier, returned within 30 minutes and had the dishwasher repaired and tested within another 15 minutes. Very fast and thorough. I now have a go-to company for all of my appliance repairs.

    TIME & TIME AGAIN
    I needed extra links for a Speidel watchband purchased elsewhere (Time and Time Again does not carry that style or I would have bought it there). The woman at TTA said she did not have any way to get the links and I'd have to request them from Speidel. Speidel said I'd have to get them through a jeweler. I went back to TTA, told her what Speidel said, and was told again that she had no way to get the links from Speidel. I called Speidel and was told that if a jewelry store called the same number I had (readily available online), they could send the links to the jeweler for no charge. I called TTA and asked to speak to the same person. She got on the line and snarled, "We're busy here. Whaddya want?" End of story and end of my doing business with TTA.
