    The Albany Lift Co
Work not completed yet. Terry was very helpful in demonstrating stairlifts and helping us to select one. Installation expected this month when preparatory carpentry work is completed by our contractor at our summer home at Piseco Lake.

    Dong, Dr. Angela Q.
When I made the appointment, I asked how I could get my records to them.  The woman on the phone gave me an email address and I contacted my old dentist and had the records emailed over.  When they called to confirm my appointment, I asked to make sure they received my records.  They had not.  I asked for the email address again, called my old dentist and my old dentist had sent them, however they had a different email address than what Dr. D***'s office had given me just then.  I had my old dentist re-send them to both addresses.  I called Dr. D***'s office back and asked which email was correct.  She said they have two, out me on hold and checked something, came back on the line and told me that they HAD received my records back in March when I made the appointment.  I let my old dentist know it was taken care of.
I arrived for my appointment and they were extremely prompt and the hygienist I saw was very nice and professional.  She started by saying she wanted to do x-rays because she didn't know the last time I had them.  I said, they should all be in my records.  She said they never received my records.  Here we go.  I was nice, but firm, this needs to be figured out.  I've had them sent over twice, I was told you had them.  What's the problem?  She was gone for some time, came back and said that they HAD received them, but it was some "electronic portal that they needed to sign in to."  My reaction, okay, sign in.  I wouldn't expect my old dentist to sent patient records to Dr. D***'s gmail account!  She ended up calling my last dentist to find out when my last x-rays were.  To this day, I have no idea if they have my records.
While the services were great - punctual, nice people (especially Dr. D***), but the office is nothing special in terms of appearance and the organization skills could use some refining.  I know when I come due again in November, I'll have to go through this records ordeal again.  Or, maybe they will have finally logged in to that portal!

    Abele, Dr. Thomas H.
My daughter goes every six months for regular checkups.   She also had her wisdom teeth removed a few years ago with Dr. Abele.  He is cheerful, friendly, explains everything to me, has wonderful, friendly staff.  We have never had problems with the care he provides.  My daughter is physically disabled, and the office has no trouble handling the situation.  The office is accessible by means of a ramp.  I appreciate that the dentist did not over medicate her for the wisdom teeth removal.

    St Peter's Hospital
They did an outstanding job. The care was excellent and my surgeon was outstanding. I just have no complaints. I had a wonderful outcome and I feel better. They pay wonderful attention to the patients and the doctors and nurses are caring people. The nursing was wonderful and I don't know how they put up with me. I was very sick when I went in and now I am better.

My hygentist Liz, who is the sweetest person does a wonderful job. She is very caring, always make sure she is not hurting you, and makes me laugh. She even was super accommodating and very interactive when I had to bring one of my young children with me.

    Capital District Pediatric Den
Over all great, the hygienist was the friendliest. She explained everything in fun understandable terms for the kids so they were comfortable. The initial intake person who asks all the questions when you start the appointment could have been more friendly. She seemed a bit irritated that my 2 young kids were talking over her. Sorry, this place should be used to that. Overall we do love the place. One not so nice person doesn't ruin our take on the office as a whole.

    Capital District Dermatology
I get periodic body checks as well as treatment for skin tags and other problem areas. I am treated on a regular basis, and the nurse jokes that I'm and quot;the one who likes pain, and quot; which makes me feel even more self-conscious. I do not enjoy the need for treatment, but it must be done, and I surely do not enjoy pain. Appointments are stressful for me, and I miss Dr. Mysliborski, who treated me for decades before her retirement. Maybe it's me, but treatments are not always successful- many more recurrences than there were in the past. Freezing is not always effective. Maybe it's me, or maybe treatment isn't aggressive enough.

    Falk, Dr. Naomi S.

Excellent! She's got wonderful hands. When she gives you shots, the shots go directly in the eyeball. She is very good. My ophthalmologist wouldn't have recommended her for what I'm having done if he didn't very highly of her. I like dealing with her. She is very nice. She strikes me as being young. I'm in my 70s. Lot's of people strikes me as being young. It's a very careful group. You rarely have to wait any length of time when something special comes up. I have some doctors that I am very sure to make my appointment one of the first or second appointment because you could end up waiting a long time. The office moves very efficiently. People know who you are. They work together very well. It's a pleasant place to go and as I say it moves on quite easily. You might wait 10 minutes or so, but rarely is there any long wait. The only time I can remember that is when there was a problem and they were waiting for the head of the ophthalmologist to come and take a look at something. Otherwise, it moves very quickly which is very very nice. You don't say, oh I got a doctor's appointment so I don't know maybe an hour or more. I go in for a procedure and they do a check-up and I wait for the procedure and they do the procedure and then I'm usually out within an hour.

As a first time patient, I'm not sure. My doctor called them and got me in quickly because of him. And, when I've gone back, they got me in very quickly, I didn't have to wait months at that time. But, again, I was going in with a problem. If somebody were calling to say I want to see this person and they didn't have a referral from a doctor, either specialist, it might take a while. But, if they're doctor looks at something and says I think you need to see a retinal specialist, then I suggest then the doctor calls and sets up the appointment and the appointment is three hours. If he said book this person who has a detached retina, they'll get you in that day. I went to them through my doctor because I needed it and I got in within 10 days of when my doctor wanted me back with going with him. It has to do with the seriousness of your problem.

It's not luxurious. It's clean. It's bright. There are plenty of seats. I can use a wheelchair. There is a room for the wheel chair. It's spacious and easy to go around.

It's a highly experienced person in a medical problem. They have excellent bedside manner. The head of the department is full time. But for her, excellent bedside manner, excellent communication.

Effectiveness of treatment is hard to say. For me, I think it's going very well. Macular degeneration is slowly progressive and I don't think anything stops it. Eventually I will be blind, but as the treatment is going, I'm getting what one would expect. So, we are quite satisfied and my ophthalmologist is quite satisfied.

They're very nice to deal with. I think I would recommend them and I have. If I wasn't satisfied with them, I would say I wanted somebody else.

    Morier, Dr. Albert M.

I can't say enough wonderful about that man. She has his cell phone number where I think that if you wake up and you have a problem, call me immediately and I will get you to the right doctor in Pittsburgh. That man is wonderful. Absolutely a highest recommendation. He is a great person. He is a physician. He originally did the training for New York State or for the acceptance for anybody who wanted a low vision license. He is tremendously experienced. He is very caring. I can't say enough about him that's wonderful. When I lost my vision, I was working in Massachusetts so I went to Massachusetts Commission for the blind. And, I went in and they tested me out and I left with two magnifying glasses in my hands.

I went over to New York State Commission for the blind and I was looked over by Dr. Morier and I came out with all sort of options. I just felt, oh my God this is going to be wonderful and he's probably ever since. If I need a doctor, an eye doctor for some sort, he recommends the ophthalmologist that I need. That man, he is the best. He is the best low vision specialist I can think of. He always has options. He is always there looking for ways for you to use your vision and trying to find a technology that can help you and sending you to the ophthalmologist that would be the best for your condition.

You can't do better if you have a low vision problem, you absolutely cannot do better and I've sent everybody to him. He is very caring and he has long time relationships. What he does basically is write prescriptions for your lenses. I won't go to anybody else. There was no point in having my lenses changed while I'm going through treatment, because my lenses tend to be very expensive and my glasses run between $600 to $1000. So, I don't go every year and get a new set of glasses. But, when they stabilized my right eye, I got to go to him and see what we can do with what visions left in.

He often works with several other specialists. It's fine. I've seen him in different places. You may have to wait sometimes for him because if somebody has a problem, he takes a lot of time with him and he makes sure he gets that person what they need. And, it depends on the office that he is in how fast things move.

If anybody has a low vision problem of any kind, he is the person to see. He will find the options that are open. Whichever office I see him in, he is your personal advocate. He just does anything you need. He is there to help you and to get in touch with other doctor for you and encourage you to go on and step forward and do things. Anybody with low vision needs to see him. If he is delayed, he always apologizes. He makes sure that your problem, that anything he can do with your problem he is done or set up before you leave. He is spectacular.
