    On Oct 1 2015 I called Earl Feiden's after noticing a large ad in the New York Times regarding recalls on Bosch dishwashers.
    I checked the Bosch website and my dishwasher was subject to recall for fire danger and cord attachment needed to be replaced.
    I spent 45 minutes on hold waiting to talk to the folks on the Bosch 800 number to find out what to do.  They told me there was no cost to me,  I just had to call my choice of vendors for the repair.  She mentioned 2 vendors and then Feiden's.  I said, great, I made this and other purchases at Feiden's and was sure they can take care of this.
    So I call Feiden's and spoke to a young women.   I explained the situation to her and that I purchased the dishwasher at Feiden's.  She checked and said there was nothing she could do because they had not been notified of the recall.   She said she needed specific information.  I told her the Bosch folks told me I needed no additional information and that the vendors knew what to do.  She said, I would have to call Bosch again.   When I told her I had just spent 45 minutes on hold and another 15 minutes talking to Bosch, she said there was nothing she could do.   I told her she could check the Bosch website for the information.   She could also check the New York Times ad.   She said she could do none of the things I suggested.    I asked if she could take my information, check further and get back to me and she said "sorry there is just nothing we can do."   Direct quote by the way.  
    Wow, what customer service.  I then called one of the other service providers for the recall.  They said no problem.  They would take my information and get back to me when they had all the information they required and could schedule the repair.  They got back to me within a couple days and scheduled and provided the simple repair.
    Meanwhile, I cooled off for a couple months and decided I should let Feiden's know about this.  So in early Dec 2015, I called and asked to speak to the service manager.   I left a detailed message, a polite one by the way, and asked that they call me.  I received no response whatsoever.  So there was nothing they could do initially and they do not care enough to improve their customer service with helpful input from customers.
    Let me say I have a strong preference for local providers, but this was so substandard, I will never consider purchasing from them again.
    They were happy enough when I called with the exact model numbers of appliance I wanted and purchased them.  But any extra effort was too much for them to help me out with my prior purchase.
    Never, never again.

    I needed a new washer and dryer. The closet that they needed to go in was small, but I wanted a full size frontloader system. The sales person helped me measure and came up with several really good options. He sent me home with information to read over and helped me confirm my own measurements and choices. The delivery people were prompt, clean and pleasant. They did a great job setting the new and removing the old, even though the space was limited. There was no damage to any of the walls or doors. My washer and dryer are perfect! This was my second major purchase from Marcella's. I purchased a refrigerator and stove about a year ago. A different sales person assisted me, but the experience was the same. Patient, informative and helpful. AND, locally owned Marcella's prices were lower than the big box stores.

    They are very competitive on price and flexible if need be, but the real difference is the personal service. Al Green is very passionate about his business, his customers, and appliances. His shop won't steer you wrong or to the most expensive choices. he delivers quickly and on time, and his delivery guys do a good job without damaging anything on the way in. The appliance knowedge and delivery staff are really much better than Home Depot or Lowes who I have also used on occasion. I really recommend these guys - they may not have the fanciest showroom but they do a good job.

    Because of built-in cabinetry in a small kitchen, we were limited in the size refrigerator we could fit into the available space. After shopping several big-name chain stores and becoming frustrated with the lack of knowledge the salespeople displayed, we stopped at Green's. The salesman was completely professional, understood our needs, and was able via computer to locate the exact model to suit our needs. The only problem arose when the refrigerator was delivered. The movers were unable to hook up the water supply and we would have had to pay an additional charge for someone else to come out and do that. Fortunately, my husband is handy and was able to do it himself.
