Water Heater Repair And Installation reviews in Sleepy Hollow

  • I called them and the guy came over. He went underneath it and there were no air vents. He took out rocks and I haven't had any problem since. They really got more and more expensive in the way of their service contract. They're charging $600 for the year. The guy was here for less than an hour. When they called and said they would come, they did. They also called and that's what I like too. I felt confident that they called me half an hour before they came.

  • Topnotch is our new go to plumbing company. Sam and his colleague were professional, honest and a pleasure to have in our home. Our bathtub drain is clear and our replacement hot water heater was installed without a hitch. Sam's fees are very reasonable and his work ethic is second to none. Sam has earned my trust and respect and for that reason I highly recommend him and Topnotch Plumbing without hesitation.

  • My new water heater was a tricky install thanks to various safety features required in our multi-unit dwelling (condos in a very old house). Tony A. was amazing ? he worked like 2 horses on a brutally hot day to get it installed and running properly, and arranged for an HVAC person (Paul ? also great) to come and make sure the safety features were properly configured.  Tony even came back in the evening to work with Paul directly.  This had to have been a brutal day for both of them, but they were consistently polite and professional.  I really appreciated that Tony walked me through my options, made sure I got a model with a 10-year warranty on the tank and then explained the key features (e.g., like how to light the pilot).  Most importantly, they stuck to their quote even though the installation turned out to be much trickier than expected. That goes a long way with me. I would use them again in a heartbeat.
Their pricing was reasonable. When it comes to plumbing and heating, I'm not looking for the cheapest price, I'm looking for someone I can trust to give me good advice and do quality work at a fair price. That's what I got.
BTW, B&C's scheduling tends to be a little optimistic, so don't be surprised if they arrive late. Not to worry, they'll get the job done, and I never felt like they were rushing through the work to get back on schedule.

  • Our water heater broke / leaked one night. We called Donovan plumbing on the adivce of a neighbor. After we arranged for them to come and check out the situation, I checked Angie's List and saw some negative reviews. They came so recommended from the neighbor though and my husband said both the phone and quote process was good, so we bit the bullet and moved forward with working with them. They were courteous, efficient and cleaned up nicely. We got a brand-new water heater, lots of communication from the office and we were all done from the first phone call to the installers walking out the door in less than 6 hours. Really positive experience. They do get a B on the price - it's on the high side for sure - but we're beyond happy that they responded and acted so quickly.

  • Needed to replace a 1929 asbestos covered, original coal burning, gas converted boiler - open hot water radiator system.  Clover provided several good options which I took my time choosing.  They performed an energy audit, referred a certified asbestos abatement contractor, facilitated my NYSERTA Energy Star application for 2.99% financing and tax credits based on the high energy efficiency of the project, and replaced both boiler and hot water heater while closing the system and upgrading combustion air supply piping.  The work took several days to complete, however was performed sporadically over several weeks.  Hot water heater was delivered damaged twice by distributor which Clover refused to accept or install until received in perfect condition.  Key takeaways:
    -No pressure, no upselling
    -Professional service
-Cordial employees both on site and in the office
    -Excellent work quality and product
    -No cutting corners
-Left a clean work area between visits
    -Provided temporary heating
    -Extremely pleased with final results
Overall, while not the least expensive option - we all know that you get what you pay for.  I received a quality energy efficient product with quality and timely work peformed.  This project will save me money on monthly electric and gas bills which will ultimately pay for itself over time.  I will continue to use Clover for boiler and hot water heater maintenance as necessary, as well as consider them for future projects down the road without a doubt.

  • I had the most awful experience with Sleepy Hollow Plumbing Company.  They were so bad I think they were operating unlicensed.  Their street address was not even valid.  They came out to our house to do repairs and ended up messing our plumbing worse.  They would not answer or return our calls.  It was a horrible experience.

  • It didn't go. The first and last time I "used" Castle in 2007, the experience was fine - they did all the right things, which is why I called them again when I needed a plumber last week. I called late afternoon on a Friday and spoke to a woman who took my information and listened to the problem. She said she would call back Monday morning to schedule someone. She didn't call. I called Tuesday afternnoon and left a voice message which was returned in a couple of hours. I told the gentleman my story (which p***** me off that I had to repeat myself) and he said someone would call me back to schedule an appointment. No one did, so I went to Angie's List and found a company who came the VERY NEXT DAY! (I will file my report for Frank Marinelli Plumbing after I get the bill). I feel like billing Castle for the 6 extra days of water waste from a leaky toilet that I will have to pay to the Village.
