    Pet Containment Systems of NY
If you have an in-ground dog fencing that needs repair DO NOT CALL SYRACUSE DOG FENCE. They are scammers. They charge $125 to come out and if they fail to fix your fence they will charge you yet another $125 to try again AFTER PROMISING THAT IF THE ALARM GOES OFF AGAIN WITHIN 2 WEEKS THERE WILL BE NO CHARGE!!! This is a lousy business with no integrity because they don't abide by their promises. Don't get ripped off like I did.

I called Donna to schedule a time for Stan to come out and discuss the containment system with me. She is charming and gave me an appointment within a week. Stan was punctual and answered all my questions thoroughly. He scheduled the installation for only a few days later. Jamie came on time to install the fence and went over everything with me before he started so that I knew exactly what was going on. He instructed me on what to do with my dog for the next few days to get her used to the system. He even had a suggesstion that was better than what we originally planned. Stan came back several days later to reinforce the training. He was very gentle with my playful Great Dane who, to my embarassment, was not as well behaved as I would have liked her to be. I could not be happier with the company or the product and highly recommend them!

I had good success with this system for several years. When the town came along to do some repair work on the swail line behind my house in 2010, they destroyed the buried wire. Stan came back out to the house and replaced the line along the back of my property for $154. My dog with the strong will actually learned to break through the line and endure the shock. When Stan heard about our situation, he came back out to the house. He adjusted the transmitter, changed the collar probes to a newer style that are spring loaded for better contact, but less pressure on the dog's neck. He also changed the settings so there would be an "anti-run-through" on the collar which has been very effective, so far... I asked Stan if we could place a barrier on both sides of the property so my dog could not go into the front yard when we let him out in the back. Stan installed two barriers for me with no charge.

    DEER-RESISTANT LANDSCAPE NRSRY
I used their products; they shipped us a deer fence for our backyard. They didn’t come out, It’s a do it ourselves thing. I used their website and then I e-mailed them. The only compliant I have about the whole thing was that there was a tool that we rented from them to use to clap some rings; that tool didn’t work very well. Other than that it was great. I would rate the highly across the board. I’m hoping that as there’s deer fence I’m not going to need them in the future as they last a long time.

    DEER-RESISTANT LANDSCAPE NRSRY
We are not generally "do-it yourselfers". This was a BIG project for us.  Took us about 7-8 hrs to complete. The written instructions and viewing YOU TUBE video (deerbusters) was helpful in coming up with the order of installation. 1. Corner posts--- we used an existing tree as one of our corner posts. we bought pressure treated 10" foot posts for the corner posts. We needed  fence staples (not included) to secure the deer fence to the tree and used 2 cable ties together to go around the posts. We cemented them into the ground. Gate posts: be sure to put on the hinges BEFORE you cement them into the ground. (We almost goofed here.) 2. Monofilament wires-- we installed them both at the bottom and at the top of our deer fence. You definitely need monofilament at the top. May not need monofilament at the bottom but it helps. 3. Post sleeves and posts- easy to use with the drive cap. 2 of our posts were  a foot shorter than the rest but we used them anyway. (Monofilament important at the top at these spots) 4.The deer fence unwound easily with 2 -3 people helping. We cable tied fence to the posts. We put the rodent fence INSIDE the deer fence, bent the drape length UNDER the deer fence and monofilament wire and hog ringed the deer fence, rodent fence and monofilament together at the bottom. We hog ringed the rodent fence at the top to the deer fence. You will need wire clippers (not included) to cut rodent and deer fence. 5. We staked the deer fence with 12 inch heavy kinked stakes and used the 6 inch ground stables to secure the draped rodent fence. I had to order more ground stakes since it seems more secure to put a ground stake every inch or two. (NOTHING IS SLITHERING UNDER THIS FENCE!) BIGGEST FRUSTRATION with the whole project:  the RENTED STANLEY HOG RINGER: this tool worked horribly. difficult to use. each ring had to be manually positioned in the ringer before crimping. we tried everything to get it to work properly. wasted a lot of C rings. This tool probably added 2 hrs to the project time. Wish there was an easier way to attach C (hog) rings.

    PET STOP OF SYRACUSE
We felt very comfortable with Garry and even had him install the fence while we were not home. He came by to help us with training our dog and was very informative and truly cared about our dog. When we our fence was accidentally cut, he was able to come out the very next day and fixed it on the spot.

    PET STOP OF SYRACUSE
It was reviewed at the time of the service call that the Pet Stop animal fense system was under warranty and as a result there would be no cost for the replacement of defective parts. The current owner of the company performed the 4:30pm service call directly. The owner reportedly rang a doorbell at the side door and made no attempt to use the front door or to call ahead. At 4:35pm I recognized the service truck driving to the side of the house. The entire service was completed by 4:45pm and I was charged a $49.00 "trip charge" (never previously discussed) and a $17.00 "1/4 hour labor" charge (also not previously disclosed) as well as a $5.32 NYS sales tax charge totalling $71.82. The owner's conduct and response was highly unprofessional and threatening in response to my inquiry to the explanation of the charges.
