They have enough doctors so we can usually get an appointment rather quickly. They are kid-friendly. We've been using them for about a year.

The flu vaccines went fine with my 2 youngest kids, who were able to receive a nasal mist vaccine, which they really appreciated. However, my eldest daughter, who is type 1 diabetic, was disappointed that she could not also get a nasal flu mist vaccine, especially because she was starting a lifeguard training course that evening, and did not want to perform dives and practice rescues with a sore arm,due to the shot. I don't think that the nurse would even have been aware that Micaela was possibly not a candidate for the mist vaccine, if I had not told her that I wasn't sure if diabetics were supposed to have the nasal type of flu vacc. I wouldn't have made the appt. for all three if I had known that Micaela would have a problem with the flu shot in the arm that particular day, but I also did not know that this would be the same day that she would begin her lifeguard training course that required her to swim to the bottom of the pool and pick up and retreive a 10 lb. brick. Anyway, when I told the nurse my concerns, she went to call Joslin Center, Micaela's diabetes care provider. When she came back, she told me that the people at Joslin had been snippy with her, but that they had concurred that a type 1 diabetic should not have the flu inhalant vaccine.Interestingly, because Micaela had an appt. at Joslin Center a couple days later, I mentioned the "snippy attitude" report to our intake nurse, and she told me that it was the person from my pediatricians office that had been the "snippy one". Whatever the case may be, I hope not to have to deal with people's bad moods, and hope to deal with nursesand doctors with a professional and kind demeanor when working with children - as has almost always been the case in my longstanding relationship with Northcourt Pediatrics.

The entire staff is super friendly. The waiting room is warm and inviting for kids and parents alike. They all made us feel comfortable and welcome. They do such a great job with the kids and are pros at making sure you leave with all questions answered.

She is great with the kids. She takes time to listen to our concerns and always has good things to try. They are also open on the weekends. I would recommend them to anyone with kids.

He is great! I can always get an appointment when I need to. I never have to wait very long. He has gone out of his way to put me into contact with other doctors who can help me. He has been more than helpful in sharing paperwork with other doctors.

They have great availability, they have emergency/sick hours on both Saturday and Sunday. They also have around 9 doctors so there is great availability for sick visits, although its difficult to get a specific individual unless the visit is schedule well in advance. They send a doctor to the hospital when the child is born and also have availability to come to your house for the standard 2-week check-up. They actually allow for a delayed vaccine schedule. I'm not sure if they allow any vaccines to be completely missed but they are working with us on a delayed schedule, and also allow separate "well-visits" to get vaccines only.

They refer your kids to places that will take care of them. They refer really great people. I love them. My kids see all of the doctors there. They are very friendly people and they get you in and out quickly. They make sure all of your needs are met. They have triage nurses that you can call and they call you back. It is a good twenty four hour facility.

My son was born on 8/7/09 and I really disliked his pediatrician.  A friend suggested I try out her kids' doctor at Pediatric Associates.  I couldn't get my son in to that doctor, so I took an appointment with Dr. Rufa just to get established.  My intent was to switch to the other doctor later.  I absolutely loved Dr. Rufa.  She was easy to talk to, she didn't criticize or judge, and my son took to her right away.  He needed 4 vaccines on his first visit and he didn't even realize she was giving him shots until after the 3rd one.  I will be sticking with Dr. Rufa, she is terrific.
