Irrigation System reviews in Setauket

  • Superbly. The leak in the pipe was instantly located and fixed. No idea how this is even possible but Roy really knows what he is doing. And we tried out different head types until we found the ones that work best for the small area that needed to be covered.

  • This past Fall we had Dominic out to shut down the sprinkler system that came with our house, and to discuss some issues we were having with it. Turned out it was poorly installed and not by a professional. We had to replace our entire system. They shut it down for us for the winter and then came back yesterday and installed the new system. The price was very reasonable and they were a pleasure to work with. Very happy with the whole team and the job that was done.

  • Honest...Peter refused to let us spend more money then we needed to and kept things in check by reusing what he could plant wise, and waiting until we could see the yard fill out with grass before moving to phase 2.  On time...his crew was always there when they said they would be.  Respectful...every one of  the guys were so respectful of the property and my family.  Top notch work...everything was cleaned perfectly when they left and the work done was beyond expectation.  When it was all said and done, Peter told us to throw a punch list together so they can come back and bang out a few more items that stuck to us, which my wife and I will handle - but the point there is that he was less concerned with ensuring that we approved of the job so he could be on his way, and more worried about us being happy in the future with the total outcome down the line.  These guys are a homerun,

  • It took him a half hour to do everything and position the head. After it was all done tested location of sprinkler head and it was hitting the location that was getting burned by sun etc. guy was nice and professional and would recommend him to anyone with any sprinkler system issues.

  • Excellent -- owner on site entire time. Completed work as contracted on a punctual and timely basis. Staff friendly, respectful of property, curtious and most importantly knowledgeable of their craft. Definitely a positive experience.

  • Mark and his crew of three arrived promptly and not only did the work discussed but added a buried manifold rather than using my original manifold which is what we had originally discussed.  His crew was efficient and polite and did the work swiftly.  The crew was experienced and they had all obviously been doing sprinkler installation for years.
In short I was very pleased with MJL's services.

  • B&B installed our lawn sprinkler system about 14 years ago and have done the winter blow out every year. There prices are reasonable and can almost always do the work even if we are not home. Bill, the owner , always calls back and if there is a problem at the beginning of the season he is happy to talk you through the start up or any other issues. When my timer died this year they were here on the same day. There service is simple , friendly and reasonably priced.

  • We hired McCormack Irrigation to winterize our sprinkler system last
year and to de-winterize it just a few weeks ago. The workers charged
the customary $65 fee for de-winterization and in addition recommended
that we replace 10 heads that they said were defective. We opted to
replace 5 of this (to save some money) at the cost of about $50 each,
with the total well over $300. We didn't need to water our property for
the next few days and assumed all was fine after their visit and
inspection. When we did switch the system on, one of the lines had very
low pressure and didn't work properly, and there were a couple of other
issues which were minor compared to that. That line was installed just a
year prior by a different company and always worked just fine. When we
asked to follow up on their de-winterization visit and make it right, we
were told that this was not their problem since they didn't install the
line in question. The lady with whom we spoke was rather combative
during this conversation. Finally they sent two workers (different from
people who came to do de-winterization) who looked at the problem and
said that a valve was defective and needed to be replaced for about $90.
We agreed to that. In the end, they said that the valve was actually not
a problem and it was the line which needs to be completely re-done at
the cost of $550. To put things in perspective, that same line, which is
very short with a small number of sprinklers, cost us $90 to install
just last year, and frankly that looked like a pathetic attempt to rip
us off. To make things worse they disconnected the valve from the system
altogether so there is no water in the line and no way for us to test
it. Our attempt to contact the company again resulted in them being rude
and hanging up on us. In summary, this level of service (or rather
sabotage) is deeply unprofessional and borderline scam. Stay away.

  • AWESOME.  Contractor showed up as planned and immediately went to work with team of workers.  Owner marked out the plan with flags, his brother started the piping and valves from the house.  Within 10 min the trailer pulled up with the pipe puller and they had all the underground piping pulled within an hour.  There were a few places that needed to be manually dug up, and someone was on that right away, carefully pulling the sod so it could be replaced and then digging underneath.
The difference is in the care and quality.  They used all the best parts, and took time to check each step before proceeding to the next.  They offer 3 years labor and parts so anything that will go wrong will be fixed, but they made sure as they went so that there would be no return trips.  For example, one head got clogged twice with dirt from the line, and they carefully pulled it and cleared it to ensure there were no issues.  All the dirt and sod was put back in place, and you could hardly tell they had been there.
    Highly recommended!
