    I love him. He is just a very warm and caring person. He is more than a doctor. It's like visiting a friend. The treatments have been fine. The facility is beautiful. It's a nice office. They're clean and up to date. You can see him within 20 minutes. The staff are very friendly.

    There was only a short stay in the waiting room.  Staff was very pleasant.  Orthotics were made by an outside company, but when Dr Arena checked them at a later date, he found that the company did not read the Rx correctly.  He immediately called them and had them re-do the orthotics correctly.

    I went very well. He filed down the toenail and cut away extra skin to take pressure off the area. He also treated the foot to relieve other pain and suggested that daily massage would help with healing and re-juvination.

    He treats me holistically and he treats the whole person. He is a little bit more knowledgeable about nutrition and herbal products. He doesn't prescribe them but he is more knowledgeable about how they affect me. I would definitely continue to see him.

    My pre-surgery visits with Dr. Sileo and his PA, Richard Georges, went very well. As I mentioned before, they were very helpful in answering all of the questions I had regarding the surgery and explaining my options. The surgery itself went fine, without complications, and the post-surgery visits with Dr. Sileo and his PA confirmed that I was doing well in physical therapy. It is important to note that my physical therapist was impressed with the very detailed protocol Dr. Sileo provided as a guide for my physical therapy program. Six months to the day after my surgery, I was able to play volleyball again without any problems, and since then, my knee has felt better and better. While Dr. Sileo credited my dedication to physical therapy post-surgery with my good recovery, I also credit his skill as a surgeon as being instrumental in helping me recover from my initial injuries. I am so pleased with the care he and his staff gave me, and would not hesitate in recommending him as a provider.

    Stony Brook Medical Center's outpatient Physical Therapy is the best I have experienced in the area & I now make sure I get all my physical therapy there. I've seen them for three courses of treatment for three different injuries (to the knee, the foot and the shoulder) and all three times I have been impressed by how good they are. The staff are highly trained, take extension courses to further their knowledge & if something tricky comes up they have a lot of resources to fall back on to help figure it out, they can confer with each other and with the doctors at the hospital. Plus they have ultrasound machines and I am one of those people who find ultrasound makes a magical improvement to my tendonitis. Other physical therapist I have been to in the area have fancier offices than the hospital can provide, but they also only have "stim" machines that do nothing to fix the root cause of my pain. I would rather go to the plainer environment of the hospital and get empirically tested treatment that makes things better as fast as possible, and that's what Stony Brook Medical Center's outpatient physical therapy department provides. They do have other drawbacks as well as a plain environment, I will admit. It is hard to get an appointment, and once you get on the schedule you are unlikely to see the same physical therapist at every appointment. But I quickly got to know the therapists and I found that seeing several of them to be a help in a way as I meant that I got second & third opinions on my treatment.

    They are excellent. They really have a superb staff. They are very good. The only thing that is rough is that they get good doctors who get great offers somewhere else. It's hard for the kids and parents to get used to a new doctor. Their availability can be difficult for a new patient.

    We have been seeing her for about two years and she is very good. She is very prompt and very efficient. She is very nice and very accommodating. I was told by one podiatrist that I had to have surgery and she confirmed that but she is doing everything she can to ensure that I don't have to have surgery, so it is very good. She changes the orthotics every once in a while. She has always been very punctual. The office is clean and the staff is friendly. She is a very good communicator.

    I called Dr. Sampson's office to schedule an appointment. Doreen, who schedules the doctor's appointments, advised me that the doctor needs to review the previous doctor's operative notes before she can book an appointment. This surprised me and I asked why. Doreen explained the reason is and quot;liability issues.and quot; As odd as I found this I called the previous doctor's office and had the operative notes faxed. Not surprisingly, the first fax never made its way to Doreen's desk and I repeated the process the next day. Doreen finally received the fax and advised she would give the documentation to the doctor for his review and decision. I called back the next day and was told the doctor had not yet made a decision. He would not be back in the office for five days and I would have to wait. Doreen promised a return call on Tuesday, 1/17/12.

    On Tuesday, Doreen called to inform me Dr. Sampson decided he will not see my son. Amazed, I again asked for an explanation. (I am obviously a slow learner.) Did the previous doctor do something wrong? Is Dr. Sampson concerned he cannot handle the case? No one has even examined my son's ankle. No visual exam, no x-ray, nothing. Again, Doreen stated all she can say is that it pertains to and quot;liability issuesand quot; when surgery was performed by another doctor.

    I find all this bizarre and unethical. I am hopeful I will be able to find a doctor willing to treat my son even though he has had a prior surgery. I have to question the ethics of this office's policy. I get the concept that they can decide not to see a patient but what about the Hippocratic Oath?

    I made the appointment and two days beforehand the office called to remind me of the appointment. I guess missing an appointment is important to them. The appointment was for 2:30PM. I had also scheduled a dentist appointment at 4:15PM with was about fifteen minutes away. It was one hour and fifteen minutes before we were seen. Once in the examining room treatment was prompt, courteous, thorough. As a result of the treatment a prescription was written and the doctor mentioned providing some  bandaging material. The material was not provided and my pharmacy did not have it either requiring to choose a somewhat poor substitute.
    If appointments are important enough to call ahead and confrim, they should be important enough for the doctor's office to keep, or call to give a heads up there would be a delay. Upon arrival the waiting room was packed compared to prior visits, so it was pretty clear we were not getting in on time. I had to call and change my dentists appointment because of the delay. All through the delay there were no updates from the staff, apologies for the delays, etc. The office perfoms a good service from a medical perspective, but not so much from a customer service perspective.
