    Rob's Handyman Service
Rob and his son had been doing various jobs for me for several years. He built a front deck for me a few years ago and laid down a laminate floor in my hallway earlier this year. We never had any problem with Rob until his most recent (and last) job for us, which was remodeling my den, including reframing a wall area, sheet rock, spackling and painting. Rob charged us a rate of $350 per day. What I didn't like was the fact that there was no written contract, no set hours specified as to when he would show up and when he would leave, and the fact that the days he was here were not consecutive. The first two days went ok, but towards the end of the third day I could clearly sense some kind of change in Rob and his son which indicated to me he just wanted to finish up, get his money and leave, never to return, which was exactly what he did. Rob knew I had plenty more projects I wanted done, but it was crystal clear to me that he wanted nothing more to do with me. The thing that bothers me the most is that I can't imagine what I did to trigger this change in attitude. I bought him and his son lunch every day they were here. I let them use my own tools and supplies if need be. I ran back and forth to Home Depot every time they needed something. I gave them advance money after each day on the job. I never questioned or haggled over the price. I gave them cold drinks throughout the day. What could I have possibly done that he was so willing to lose a great customer? I am in no way saying that Rob's Handyman Service itself is a bad business, and would never tell anyone not to hire him. I just feel very hurt that I was cast aside and dismissed as a future customer for no apparent reason.

Dave and his crew were on the job on time each of the three days required for the job. Justin and Jim removed old walls and plumbing. Then they installed insulation and sheetrock and shackled as we wished. The job came out perfect and all plumbing fixtures were reinstalled. I am very satisfied with the results.

    Wickman Construction Inc
I really liked Brian when he came to assess the job for the estimate. I was actually happy to meet with a contractor I was comfortable with. Problem is, I never received the estimate. I liked him so much I even reached out to him again a couple of weeks later. Said he was tied up and would get it to me by the end of the week. Sorry to say it never came. Strange someone would pass up this huge job but I never heard from him. If it were too big of a job for I would have understood. He just had to say so.

Superior Drywall & Home Improvements Inc
Excellent job by Marios crew. The installers furred out numerous areas that were out of level and did it with precision. The finishers were excellent, couldn't see any lines in the joint compound. Highly recommended.

Mario and his team were a pleasure to work with. He came on time, worked quickly and did a wonderful job. In fact the drywall looks so great it buys us more time to repaint the ceiling! I will definitely work with them again and look forward to it

    "In the Spirit" Handyman Services
When Bob and Howard( The Designer ) met with my wife and I, Plans were made on the computer to show us exactly what the kitchen would look like when finished. They were both a pleasure to work with. Any suggestions that were made by either Howard or us were incorporated into the plans if possible. On the first day, Bob and Louis arrived on time or early to start work. They opened up a wall between the kitchen and the dining room. Bob let me gut the room so I could save money. All through this project, the people that Bob has working for him were extremely competent and very respectful of our house. Bob was at my house everyday to see progress of the kitchen. Whenever we had a problem with anything. he was right there to solve it. We felt very comfortable with them in our house. We had a couple of problems with the cabinet doors. Bob took care of it right away with a smile. This meant, some new doors had to be ordered. They did quality work and we're extremely happy. We get nothing but compliments on our kitchen. Our next remodel will definitely go to In The Spirit.

    Ernie Frank Carpentry
We couldn't be more pleased with Ernie Frank Carpentry! From estimate to completion of the job, Ernie, as well as everyone who worked for him, was honest, reliable, professional & hard working. They listened to all of our needs & wants & guided us in the right direction when we were unsure of what might work best. Not only was the work done to the best quality, but they even went above & beyond by fixing little things around the house that needed tending to, such as doors that weren't closing correctly prior to renovations. They made what could have been an extremely stressful situation, a very smooth & easy going process. We're planning on more renovations to our house & will most definitely be using E.F. Carpentry again. We highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for quality work & trustworthy people.

R & V Home Remodeling of Long Island
Darcy and Dom were always on time and worked diligently and professionally.  The shower downstairs looks beautiful and works just as it should.  The upstairs bath is still in the middle of being completed; but am very happy with work so far.  Will update when the bathroom is completely finished.

The job went great even with the always unexpected things that turn up . Bob had come to my home first for a quote and than again before the job was started to go over the job with me since I could not be in the house while the job was being done due to some medical issues . Bob was great in listening to my requests and even measured me to make sure that the medicine cabinet and rob hook were not to high. (I am not the biggest person in the world). I really appreciated his attention to the smallest details. While I was out of the house My husband was there to oversee the job. Bob asked a lot of questions and listened to my husband and made suggestions.
Bob removed all the fixtures, flooring, plumbing, exhaust fan, tub/shower, shower doors, walls down to the beams.  One of the things I really wanted was Niches built into the walls of the tub for Shampoo & soap etc . On the first day I received a call from Bob that the beams in the wall were only 2 x 3's and not the usual  2 x 4 that were needed to fit the inserts for the niches. Bob went over and beyond and manually built the niches in the wall so I would have what I wanted.
    Things that were done.

He gutted the whole bathroom, put up sheet rock, built the supports and framing needed for the niches, new shower fixtures and he replaced the plumbing pipe in the drain and corrected plumbing mistakes in the shower that were made by other people in the past.  He also installed a new bathroom tub, vanity cabinet and sink / faucet and installed new exhaust fan/light,
