    on the spot services
i used this service for the first time- 2016-2017 winter. service was just okay. they did clear the driveway well, but always late afternoon. never in am before work. i did have to call a few times to ask if they were coming at all. i decided to use again for 2017- 2018 season. first plow of the season they damage my fence gate. they gave me the runaround about how to pay compensation for the damage. said they were calling their insurance, never did. i called two weeks later to cancel my service and request a refund and they refused saying that i broke the contract. they never paid for damaging my property and they never sent a refund for my snow removal contract. therefore i am out $216.for snow removal and approx $150-175 for the damage to my fence gate. LOUSY way to do business. i'll tell everyone i know how poor their service is. hard to believe they won't refund a customer $200.plus tax.

    Arborist Pros of Rochester Inc.
Responded quickly to my initial call, gave a very reasonable estimate for the services I requested, and he was very efficient in completing the work and clean up after, leaving my yard and driveway almost cleaner than before he did the work! Contact Brad at Arborist Pros to get the job done right!

    J.M. Tree Service Inc
They made an appointment for an estimate and he came on time. He gave me a fair price and took off the
coupon discount ($50.00). They called the week they were coming. They showed up with all the equipment and staff they needed in about two hours they cut down and shredded the trees. They did a great job of cleaning up. A couple of weeks later they showed up and totally ground down the stumps and left. I was very happy with their work and price.

    O'Neill's Tree and Landscape Service
Was a good experience. Bruce was a bit late (45 min) due to unexpected circumstances but I was called to let me know they would be a bit late.. The work went much faster than I expected. Great care was taken to not disturb the lawn with their truck and clean up was incredible. They practically raked my entire lawn for me - not just remove the cut tree limbs! The trees and the yard look great and I have asked Bruce to come back and clean out the debris in the wooded area behind the garage. They do a great job! He is hard to get a hold of but the wait was worth it. I highly recommend him.

    STEVE SMITH'S TREE & LANDSCAPE
The trimming and clean up went great. Our neighbor was having some trees removed at the same time and all was complete in less than a day. My only concern was responsiveness. We did not receive a call back from our initial query for a couple of days and then communication was not as prompt as I would like. Other than that, the trimming went smoothly and I would use this company again.

    Broccolo Tree & Lawn Care
The work team showed up as scheduled but was not clear on what all was expected of them. They had the wrong flowering plants which meant calling for someone to bring the correct plants. They did a very poor job in transplanting the pine tree which has since died and now needs to be removed. The area to be mulched was also to be weeded. Light weeding was done most weeds covered when the mulch was applied. All in all very dissatisfied with the end result.

    Evergreen Landscape Management
Snow removal was satisfactory and timely, I have no other experience to compare with this, so I see it as expensive. I also contracted in mid season, and paid full boat. I hope to inquire about the companies other services.

    Lawn Dawg - Rochester
The last time I used the services of Lawn Dawg was in mid September. Their service cost me about $160. In regard to my experience with them, one thing that I can say is that they pride. I mean, one part of my glass was ruined from some of their chemicals that they used, they kept coming back and it just was not right. I just would not go back to them again. They had the man just come on. At first I admit that he was very nice and they pride, but things did not come out right. So I am getting another lawn service coming in this year.

    Lawn Dawg - Litchfield

The problems with Lawn Dawg started in June when my lawn started showing brown spots. In the following month of July I had the manager, Mark Zingo come out and look at my lawn. He stated that due to the lack of rain the brown spots appeared. He also stated that he would have someone come out and with time the lawn would improve back to a satisfactory level. He also ask If I watered the lawn. I informed that I didn?t nor did any of my neighbors.   In September my lawn still hadn?t returned back to a satisfactory level so, I called and scheduled an appt for Mark to come back out on the 17th. I stayed home the entire day and Mark never showed up. During the course of the day, an employee of Lawn Dawg by the name of Russell came over to treat the lawn. However, I was not able to speak with him so I called him on his cell phone. I spoke with him regarding the issue of the brown spots and he informed me that the lawn needed to be aerated and seeded to remove the spots and we agreed on this. I also told him that I felt that his company was responsible for this and that Mark would be out however he never showed up.  I was angry and proceeded to call and leave a message for Mark to call and I have not yet heard from him.

    Ted Collins Tree & Landscape
When we moved into our home, our 1/2 acre yard was one of the first things that we took care of. It was so badly overgrown with dead limbs, trees leaning toward the house and old vines that had wound their way around other trees. We knew we wanted an experienced team that would know how to tackle the various issues in our yard....and not take a long time doing it. Our consultant Jim lives nearby which made it easy to stop by and assess our situation. He was responsive to our needs and connected with our project immediately. The four-man team showed up on time each morning and worked a full day. They were courteous, tidy and efficient- more than 1/2 the yard was complete the first day. They did not leave any equipment overnight and didn't block our street or driveway at any point. The team showed up each day with all the appropriate equipment to transition from high branches to low shrubs quickly. One of the tougher jobs was to extract one of our trees that had grown up and through the branches of our neighbor's tree. Our neighbors wished to keep their tree. The tree team was able to remove our unwanted tree without cutting the neighbor's tree or even setting foot on their property! At the end of each day they hauled away the debris and left us with a pristine yard. There is no way we could have trimmed our largest trees- many of them are over 60 ft tall and thick with branches. This sort of clean-out is best left to the pros- and we're so glad we called. Now, our yard is inviting, open and airy. The neighbors remarked immediately on its appearance and asked who had done the work.
