Ultimately, my cat (Blake) died, so not well. My cat had been vomiting for about a week, so I took him to see Dr. Donner for an exam on 8/26/2020. Blake was examined, weighed and given his rabies vaccine and a feline FVRCP one year injection (cost of visit was $88). Blake was scheduled for a dental, and prior to the dental, bloodwork was going to be done. The evening of 8/28/2020 (Friday) Blake vomited large clots of blood. I scooped everything up with a clean, white paper towel and put it in a zip lock bag to take to the doctor. On Saturday 8/29/2020 two x-rays were done, an injection .50 Cerenia 10mg per ml was given and Blake was sent home with 25 Famotidine Tabs 20mg and 25 Sucralfate Tabs 1GM (cost of visit was $195.00). Needless to say, the dental was not done as scheduled on 9/3/2020 and understandably so given Blake’s condition. The bloodwork was done and Cerenia 10mg per ml was given and 1.50 Drontal Feline (? not sure what this is) (cost was $161.20). The vet kept Blake there. Later in the day on 9/3/2020, I received a call to pick Blake up. I was upset. He was going to be sent home with more meds, which we had a very difficult time giving despite trying pill pockets and a pill gun. The receptionist told me I owed another $62.00 when I got there. Then, I got upset again and said, “For what. What has been done?” I called another vet while on my way to pick up Blake. She said to bring Blake right on over when I explained what was going on and what had been done. I requested his records from Dr. Donner and took Blake straight to the other vet. When I called to have another pet of mine that Dr. Donner sees to have her meds refilled, I received a call from the office manager on 9/16/2020 telling me that I had insulted the doctor and they were packing up my vet records they were going to mail them to me. So, would I recommend him? Absolutely not!!!!! Nothing got resolved and Blake is gone. The second opinion vet did not do exploratory surgery on Blake due to the condition he was in, kept him for two nights, treated him for h.pylori and cost was $140.00. Rest In Peace Blake. On a positive note, I want to thank all of the kind, compassionate vet techs who helped me with Blake’s meds on a few occasions. I especially want to thank the lead tech Corrinne Yoder.

I have taken both of my dogs to this clinic. I cannot say enough good things. The staff is very caring and compassionate and Dr. Emo is awesome! She treated my female shepherd for a few years and when it was time to put her down I could not ask for a more caring and compassionate staff. She also treats my male shepherd and staff is always very friendly and kind. Not sure how they got an”F” rating on here, it’s straight As as far as I am concerned. It’s the only pls e I trust for the care of my furry babies!

They said she needed to stay over night for observation. They administered 1 l of fluids. That was all they did. They did no tests. There was no one there to observe overnight. They called me in the morning to say she had passed away during the night . When I picked her up they gave her to me in a black garbage bag. I was told afterwards they don't have the means to do to tests. Don't bring your pets here!

    Dr Nathan's Veterinary Clinic
He had cats lined up in carriers. When I picked my cat up the carrier and cat was soaked in urine. After a few days the incision was infected and split open. When I called him he told me it was the stitches manufacturer who was at fault! When I took cat to be helped it cost me over $200 to correct his mistake. Before I even told my new Vet who did the work, he already knew because of the poor job. I turned him in and he got fined $1000.

This Veterinarian absolutely does NOT care about the animals. All they care about is making money. My dog was suffering, they wouldnt even see her unless I could pay for xrays along with the exam and treatment. I tried explaining this appears to be a classic tick borne illness and I can pay for the exam and treatment but I do not have money to pay for the xrays. They refused to see her. I begged. I explained that my dog is suffering a great deal. She hasnt stood up since yesterday and Ive been carrying her everywhere. This place absolutely does NOT care about the animals.

messaged problem to VVA 4/26/20 on their website.4/27 no response by 5:00 pm called to told they would not provide service because have not seen us for 3 yrs. explained to receptionist we have always confirmed w/ Dr. Davis over phone or picked up treatment. Response was Dr. Davis was not in so no service would be given to us. This was, at one time, a very respected practice to me and I would always defend them against any critics that I've heard from in the past. Now I find that has all changed. This outfit is just there for the money!!! No Compassion for a suffering animal or the farmer trying to make a living with his animals!!!

They are excellent! They are a full service veterinary office. The technology they use to help the animals are great! They do everything. They have also been willing to work with me and my pet insurance. They also have a special designated person to help with navigating the pet insurance and anything else you may need. They are open 24 hours for emergency services.

Just very accommodating, very helpful, very professional, caring. I mean just really care for the animals and treat you individually your not just another number. Of course we've used them over the years and have established more of a relationship, but  they've been very, very helpful to us. Very, very accommodating. Dr. Mark, he's the main doctor, they only have one vet there and they have a number of assistance but they're all very, very helpful and professional.

    COUNTRYSIDE VETERINARY CLINIC
I had an amazing experience with Countryside Vet. I had a friend recommend the facility to me. My black lab isn't the easiest dog to get along with because he has severe anxiety. The technicians and nurses were so understanding and caring. They gave him treats and didn't rush into petting or meeting him. They had me muzzle him as a precautionary, and they were very understanding and explained everything to me. They allowed my sister to come into the exam room with us, to help keep my dog calm and relaxed. When they administered the shots he was getting, they were quick about injecting them and kept him as calm as possible by talking to him and petting him. The wait time to get see was no more than 30 minutes. When they weighed him I explained he might not fully cooperate and they were so understanding that they talked to him and gave him a little treat for doing so well. The veterinary doctor I saw took her time with us and even took the time to answer questions I had. I didn't feel rushed or uncomfortable. The environment is so calm and laid back, the nurses and technicians behind the main desk are so polite and  considerate. They take their time with you and explain anything you have a question about without attitude or hesitation. Everything they do is in a timely manner and without hesitation. I have had to cancel and reschedule appointments due to personal and medical issues and they have been so understanding. They rescheduled the appointments without any aggravation or hesitation at all. When you finish the appointment they have a little area where you can purchase toys, food, and treats. My dog was very well taken care of and received the best care ever. I have continued to go back to Countryside and have even started bringing my service dog who's a purebred blue nose pitbull. They do not discriminate between breeds. So if you are looking for a loving and pet friendly veterinary clinic, Countryside Clinic is the place to go.
