Sewer Cleaning reviews in Schenectady

Excellent. They got to my house less than an hour after I called. They pumped out the septic tank, found and cleared out the blockage. They worked quickly as I had to run get my kids from daycare and when I got back about 30 mins later they were already done. They charged me what I thought was a very reasonable price and I was very happy with their service. I have always used Big Willy's Septic in the 10 years I have been a homeowner. They have consistently provided prompt, professional services at affordable prices. I highly recommend Big Willy's Septic Services.

They scheduled an apt for a few days after our first call, came to look at job and quoted basic price which included a set-up fee and cost per foot for camera and pipe lining. Depending on number of feet, we understood the job would be over $3,000. We had been trying, with our good plumber, various methods of locating and stopping the odors, but never achieved a permanent fix. They had to return several times, but throughout acted professionally, although at times they were late coming from other jobs. They installed an additional exterior trap without additional charge, to achieve complete correction of the problem, which turned out to be very extensive. Without this company it would have been necessary to jackhammer out a cement slab floor and tile, remove walls and replace plumbing and lines which would have been extremely disruptive and even more expensive.

He was prompt, friendly and courteous, explained the problem, and did a great job cleaning the mess. Most importantly, he fixed the problem quickly and efficiently. Though I hope we won't be needing his services too often, I won't hesitate to recommend him to family & friends.

The tech came out, gave me a very vague idea of what's happening to the tune of $3400. He said that the break was around a fairly specific point underground. They scheduled the repair, came out in a fairly timely manner. They excavated where they said that they would and "repaired" the pipe (this is just what they told me). They put a camera through the line again to be sure that it was repaired and they said that it was broken in another spot. I called the city to see if it was covered and it turns out that they never got the required permits from the city, they just tried to do a rush job and hide the fact that they were doing anything here. Aside from that they said that there was an additional $6000 in repairs that they had to make, but we could use our plumbing in the meantime until we gathered the money for the 2nd repair because it "wasn't going to be any worse than what it was before". Fast forward 3 weeks (everything working great) we walk outside and there's sewage spewing from the section of sidewalk that they dug up to "repair" the section of pipe. I called Randy (the man that I had been communicating with) to ask if there was any possibility that the pipe had come loose and started leaking. He was EXTREMELY RUDE to me and pretty much brushed off my concerns told me that "our work is always quality and doesn't break" and gave me an "I told you so" and rushed me off the phone. I called the office to request that someone come out and dig up the work that had been done to show me that the pipe was in its proper place and fitted the way it should be moreso for piece of mind that our money didn't just get thrown out the window for shoddy workmanship. The halfway decent office guy "Tom" told me that they would be out with a camera (which had been attempted 7 times before but with no success). So the tech came back out and of course, the camera didn't work. I called Randy back and in so many words he refused to come back out and dig this pipe up to show me that his work was not the problem. Can I just add that this hole is about 3ft wide, 3ft. Long, and 3 ft deep, so it's nothing that would be a huge deal to do, in fact I'd do it myself but I'm pregnant. So as of now we have paid $3400 to be worse off than we were to begin with. We've been told that the work was done but no proof, no photos, no consults through the job. This is just the crappy tip of the iceburg when it comes to this job, there were several times during my interactions with Chris, Randy, Tom, and the tech where they were very short, rude, unorganized, and unwilling to provide any sort of quality customer service. My advice to you is to go with an insured, reputable contractor. It may be more expensive but this has not been worth the money that was "saved" because we still need to replace the entire line also to the tune of $7200.

I called and the gentleman who came was very quick to show up (within a hour of calling) and did a great job on my sewer line. Their prices were very reasonable! I called two other companies and these guys not only beat their prices (significantly) but where ready to come out ASAP! I cannot be more happy with this company and they will be the ones I will call first going forward.

We called on a Sunday.  They got back to us promptly, within an hour, to set up an appointment for the next morning.  He was on time, professional, and gave us good advice.  We would definitely recommend this company to others needing their sewer lines or drains serviced.

They did an excellent job with both projects.  They were great to work with.  John and Terry as well the other members of
their crew are very professional and where they focused on the quality of their
work and my satisfaction with their work.
They welcome customer interaction where I kept bugging them with
questions during both projects.   I have
contracted many contractors for various types of work and they were the most
pleasurable contractor I have ever hired.
I have contracted them for other work at my own house due to my recent
    experience with them.

Pete was awesome.  We needed help with our kitchen faucet as well as our bathroom drain.  He examined the kitchen situation and explained that it would not be possible to fix the faucet without replacing the sink.  The faulty bathroom drain was another story.  He was able to replace the pipes and get things in working order.  Pete is very knowledgeable and fair.  I would definitely recommend him to others.

Responded to my call within a few hours. Arrived on time and fixed the problems. He was professional and gave me tips on how to prevent further problems. He checked out several other concerns with the plumbing under the sink and concluded that they did not require work at this time. Did a great job of cleaning up when he was done.

Pete the Plumber promptly returned my call.  He was in the area and came over the same day to look at the drain.  He cleared the drain and I have had no issue with the drain since.  The washer drains perfectly!
