Obgyn Care reviews in Schenectady

  • The annual visit was not an issue, but because of the changes in Health care reform evidently IUD's are now covered and are in quite high demand, so I ended up having an initial appt for this procedure being changed multiple times due to the office not having the ability to keep them in stock. They would make an appt then call to change it over and over again, which was very

  • Just like the first time the staff was extremely polite and on top of things. I was greeted warmly and made comfortable. I was checked-in in a timely fashion and did not have to wait long to be called in. Both technicians I saw were very polite and had excellent bedside manner. They performed their duties efficiently and knowledgeably. The first of them made a suggestions for an additional diagnostic test and obtained script from my physician right away. i was very pleased with the experience and plan on going back when it is time for my next 6 month follow up.

  • Dr. McGinnis is very thorough, knowledgeable and friendly. She takes time to explain procedures, why they are being performed and addresses all questions/concerns.
She was recommended by my sister-in-law and I have been a patient for many years.

  • The practice is well run and the nurses are great. The ultrasound techs lack good people skills. They strongly advise giving birth at Albany Med. I choose to change doctors because I was looking for a more wholistic approach for my next pregnancy.

  • She is very responsive. I had a high-risk pregnancy; and from day one, she and her staff have been always there for any question I had. I actually believe she scheduled a vacation around my delivery. She was just wonderful all the way around her entire practice.

  • Everything that happened in relation to pre-operative care, the procedure and the post-operative appt. was as Dr. Moon explained it to me. There were no surprises and I was grateful that the discomfort I experienced she had predicted to me.

  • She is a DO and not an MD. She is excellent. She has a terrific staff, everybody is very professional. She is very patient, understanding, very informative and good at explaining things. She has just got a terrific manner for a doctor.

  • Dr Sattar is very conveniently located for me. They are good and they listen to me. They give my appointment quickly. I feel comfortable with them. He is very knowledgeable. I will continue to see him in the future.

  • Dr. Cheon-Lee is an extremely caring and thorough physician.  She is very professional, but takes the time needed with each patient and performs follow ups as necessary.  I am so comfortable with the staff at this office; I couldn't imagine using anyone else.

  • Dr. Burstyn started out wonderful. I was going through fertility issues and she had a great bedside manner. She reccomended a laparoscopy and performed it at Bellvue Hospital. She ended up removing one of my fallopian tubes un-necessarily. The pathology report came back TWICE with no disease. Two other doctors have told me (via the photos she took while doing the laparoscopy) the tube was fine and did not agree with her decision to remove it. Before the surgery she told me that she would only remove the tube is she saw that "it was severely diseased". She went on to tell me that even if she did remove it, that it didn't necessarily reduce the odds of my getting pregnant because either ovary can send an egg through either fallopian tube. THIS IS NOT TRUE. I did persue legal action, however the difference between medical negligence and medical mal practice is very hard to prove and ultimately could not find enough evidence to show malpractice.
