    They have a no frills shop that is a little difficult to find in the Schenectady Stockade section. But they did a beautuful job, and I'd use them again in a heartbeat. Everyone else quoted me about $5,000 for the job, and they came in under $3,000!

    The selection of the counters was fine and they provided the stone we selected.  The template measuring went fine but when it came time to install the counters things went down hill.  The installers did not arrive on time.  It took more that 2 hours for the owners to find the installation crew and another hour for them to get to my house.  I had to insist that they stay into the night to complete the job.  they left a mess and were difficult to understand with little English.  Now its been several years and the under-mounted sink they installed, has become unglued and they refuse to come to make the repairs without charging me and wont take responsibility for the incorrect installation.  The sink was just siliconed to the counter without pinning or clipping it in place.

    Noah and Don did a nice job - they provided me with an economical granite option for the two pieces I had installed. The desk was to be matched to existing counters and it looks fine. The vanity had to meet specific measurement guidelines and they did a good job with that too.

    Our kitchen is an L-shape.  The house was built in 1940 and we were renovating the kitchen, replacing the cabinets and countertop. This was probably the 3rd or 4th kitchen renovation the house has seen.  
    The process went very well.  The showroom people were very helpful, knowledgeable and accommodating.  They gave realistic estimates of the schedule and process.  We chose the stone that we liked (St. Cecilia Gold) and put down a deposit, 50% of the total.   
    The slab arrived on time and we went to check it out.  I was a little nervous as one side was a little darker and more gold than the other which was more gray (which happens with natural stone) but installed it looks fantastic and you can't tell if there's a gradient.
    Our project was delayed, mainly because the sink that we had ordered (not through Klassic stone) was over a month late.  There weren't any issues with them storing the slab for that long.  
    When the sink came in two weeks before Thanksgiving, I installed the new cabinets myself making sure that they were as close to level as I could get given the sorry state of the floor underneath (the hardwood in our kitchen only went to the footprint of the old cabinets).  I had heard from a friend that this was a very important step as granite is brittle  and counter-top installers aren't carpenters and aren't responsible for making the carpentry level.  
    I called Klassic Stone the week before Thanksgiving, which was to be at our house.  They templated the next day and I called right away to schedule the install for the following week.   They called me back the next day and asked if Friday was OK instead (4 full days early!).
    The installers new what they were doing and did a great job.  They shimmed up the low spots from my cabinet install, put in the new sink (except plumbing), the backsplash and then sealed the granite and caulked the seams.
    One note on punctuality:  I was told between 3PM and 5PM for both the templating and the installation.  In both cases, they arrived after 5.  I guess it's common for earlier appointments to run over and the last job of the day to go late.  The guy who did the templating did call ahead to say he was running late but no call for the installation until after 5:30.  The workers had no problem staying late to get the job done, and quite frankly getting it done 4 days ahead of schedule with Thanksgiving coming more than made up for the inconvenience.

    In March of 2012, I ordered a new granite counter top for my kitchen.  I gave them a deposit of $1500 as requested. I was told it would take 2 weeks to prepare.
    On April 25th, the installers came in, removed my old counter top and replaced them with the new granite counter. He requested the final payment, which I gave him.
    That evening, I noticed that there was a slight crack that went from the wall to the corner of the sink.  Naturally, I wasn't pleased and called the company although it was after closing time, I left a message.  The next morning, the owner called me regarding the counter top.  After talking to the installer, it was determined that a new counter top would be made. I was told it would be ready in 1 week.  Two weeks later, I called to see when the counter top would be ready since I still needed to make an appointment (with another vendor) to have the new backsplash installed.  The new counter top was ready and I made an appointment to have it installed the next week.
    The same installer came in with the new counter top.  I asked if he knew the old one was cracked and if so, why did he tell me.  He said that he had seen the crack but felt that "at least I had a counter top to use so he didn't think it would be a big deal". Needless to say, I wasn't happy with his answer but I didn't say anything.  He installed the new counter top and left.
    At first I thought that everything was OK but when the installer for the backsplash came (a few days later). the counter top wasn't positioned correctly (there was a 1 inch gap between the wall and the counter top).  I once again called and requested that the owner come to look at my kitchen.  He determined that there was a problem with this top even though it was cut exactly as the previous counter top was. He said that he would have another installer come to see what he could do to correct this. 
    The next day, another installer came, repositioned the counter top and all was fixed. 
    I called my backsplash installer and everything came together as I had envisioned.  
    I received a beautiful basket of flowers from the Granite and Marble works, thanking me for my patience. 
    I'm really happy with my 'New" kitchen but felt that the amount of time, phone calls and my aggravation was completely unnecessary and possibly because I'm not a drama queen or an alarmist it took much longer that it would have.
    The company was great, very receptive.  My problem was with the first installer that came to my house, not anyone else.

    Tony helped us design a new look to our old 80+ year old fireplace.  We picked out and paid for the granite, and Tony picked it up when it was ready.  The installation went fine.  He also painted the interior of the firebox with a high temperature black paint.  Tony is prompt, professional, and does good work.  He also had good suggestions at the beginning of the project.
