Installed new deck (25x15) out of trex. Quality work. Paul and his partner were wonderful to work with and they completed the deck in two weeks. I was pleased with there work. They were willing to go above and beyond, even removing a gigantic rock that was in the way of the piling. They are particulary concerned about safety on stairs and installed handrails where needed.

Jack Brunet did an excellent repair job on my roof. He is also very professional and polite. He charged an extremely fair price for his labor. He was also able to save me money on materials. I would hire Jack Brunet again and I highly recommend his services to anyone who is seeking an honest professional roofer.

Terrible. Lousy communication, no attention to detail. Doesn't return calls, fails to show up or call to say not coming. Doesn't address concerns satisfactorily. Review was first submitted on 8/11/16 and then updated on 8/29/16.

Very well for the most part. The owner was very friendly, professional and punctual. I was notified timely of any changes to the schedule and worked with me to obtain financing through NYSERDA (though it was not used). I also appreciated the owner agreeing to add additional small jobs to the contract. I was pleased with how things were going (the sub-contractors were timely and cleaned up after themselves).

There was one exception, the final sub-contractor. The painter was initially professional, but I was later disappointed in his behavior (once he balked at available times to work and said I could leave my key like [others], when I was not pleased with him washing paint brushes in the main bathroom, of my 1 and 1/2 bath home, I was told he left it cleaner than he met it, on the final day of painting he called at the exact time he was supposed to arrive to say he had a flat tire (coincidence? perhaps), and showed up almost an hour later with the owner of Ethos Homes.

I would definitely recommend using Ethos Homes LLC, despite the behavior of one sub-contractor. The owner is very professional and the work is done well.

Matt had several large jobs going on during the week that we decided to do the work. He let me know ahead of time a few days and times when he would be able to do the work. We decided on Thursday morning. He called me weds evening explaining that his current job would run into Thursday and asked if it would still be ok if he came around mid day. This was fine with us and he showed up as we agreed. My wife was home during this time period and she said they were very polite and efficient. She was surprised at how fast they were able to get the work done and how nice it was. Matt had my wife call me during the job to clarify how I wanted the window trim done. I called him back and we discussed The options with the materials I had provided. I was very reluctant to let someone take over a project I was working on, but Matt's work is good. I will definitely call him again when I have a project that stalls out due to lack of time, or energy, or both. He takes pride in his work and the work he did for me will only make my finished project look better. We hired him using one of the 6 hours for the price of 2 deals through Angie's list.

Matt, the owner, did the install.  He was extremely professional, detail oriented and did a fantastic job!  He took the time to explain everything he was doing and answered all my questions about the install and after care.

He did a wonderful job. Actually he is still doing finishing work. He was very professional and a really nice person. He found a few errors in the plans and promptly let us know and corrected them. This is our retirement home and my husband has been doing work along side Matt. Matt appreciated what he was doing and they worked well together. I would definitely recommend. At for any type of construction you have.

My elderly mother had Ron Bellrose contractors paint her two story home. My mother was 90 at the time and her eyesight iwas not good. She trusted his add for"getting the job done right". After she had paid him, she invited myself and others over to see her newly painted house. We were horrified at the job done. They were not careful at all. There was paint drops all over her brick surfaces. They painted almost 2 inches into the stained bead board ceilings on the porch. The paint they used must have been extremely thin as there were streaks all over the body of the house. They painted into the panes of all of the sash windows. They cracked a window and left garbage in the bushes. They did not fill the wood bee holes of the roof fascia boards nor did hey paint them as specifically instructed on the estimate. I called Mr. Bellrose and spoke to him about taking a look at the job, he promised he would stop by but of course he never did. We all feel terrible about the job that was done and try not to let my mom know that she was probably taken advantage of. I don't think this guy trains Or watches his people and he doesn't take responsibility for the work done. Mt feeling is that he just doesn't care. Please be very careful in hiring this company to do any work for you.

The house was sold to us in January of 2013, listed as a brand new model home. We initially had questions and concerns about the backyard, as it had a steep bank at the end going down to a creek. John the manager assured us it was stable and had no erosion problems. If there were any, he assured us he would have to fix it. We knew it would be a small yard, but were content to put up a fence so our children could play safely in the backyard.
After the first snow melt, we had major issues with erosion, with 6 foot deep cavities where the water runoff had eaten away the fill. The back was graded wrong, so all the water from the driveway and house flowed to the backyard. John kept saying he would fix it, but just kept trying to use curlex and grass seed. The fill he used however is just silt, so nothing will grow without topsoil. John kept bulldozing the grade on our yard and our neighbors to try and hide the giant cracks, until it was becoming an unusable steep graded hill. We told John he needed to fix it correctly, like the yard we bought that he made us assurances on. We bought our own rain gutters to try and help the problem, but it couldn't stop the other runoff. He gave us the runaround all summer, saying he was going to fix it, until finally telling us in August he didn't really see any erosion problems, he had notified the town, and there was nothing more he could do. We have pictures to document everything, including pictures of when we bought it, and also before he "manufactured" the back yard to sell the house. The original grade was a steep hill off the back corner of the home, which doesn't even look legal to begin with.
To complicate matters, there are wetlands behind our home, and the silt he used is just falling into the creek. If there is a heavy wind, it blows into the air like dust. We contacted the DEC and Army Core, and have had to pay to have professional surveyors delineate the boundaries. We are fixing it ourselves, because we can't let our yard fall into the wetlands, as it's the homeowner responsibility. We also have many young children around our home that it isn't safe for. We have had to pay an engineer to design a retaining wall and drainage, and have it built by another contractor. This is our major problem, but there are many others.
    Some examples:
After paying for upgraded wood floors, when we moved in, the living room floor had sharp edges all over it, with some boards coming up. Giant seams that caught your socks. They redid one floor for us, as we had just paid thousands extra for the upgrade. The other wood floors are exhibiting the same problems however, and they never came back to fix anything else.
There was a missing section of ductwork in the basement where you can't see it, so the first winter and part of summer, most of our heat pumped into the cellar.
None of the sinks are caulked correctly, so if water splashes to the rim of the countertops, it will leak under the sink. This must have been happening before we even bought the house, as the kitchen cabinet has water damage on the bottom edges inside. The disposal was also not correctly sealed and had to be fixed.
3 of our faucets don't work correctly, as they have broken within the first year of living here. Very cheap parts all over the bathrooms, including the fans which don't work correctly in 2 bathrooms now. One shower has never had the hot water work completely.
The blower above the stove has ductwork to blow outside the home, with a vent on the side of the house. When they installed the blower, they did not connect it to ductwork, so it just blows into the ceiling doing nothing.
Tape joints all over the home are showing up as nails start popping up on the seams. They are everywhere. Shoddy workmanship all over.
I like the design of the home, as it's family friendly, and it's in a great neighborhood with lots of little kids. However, the builder has made it a bad experience all around. John has shown us he has nothing but excuses and lies. He will cost himself a dollar, to save himself a dime. Do not let these people build you a home.

I have just had excellent gutter work done on my house by Tech Valley Builders. Since purchasing the house I have been having problems with the water and three people and companies have tried unsuccessfully to fix it. Larry came and analyzed the situation. He and his crew came very quickly since a lot of rain was forecast. He installed new larger gutters and specifically fixed the drainage situation so that the water is now away from the house. An added benefit is that my sump pump which ran constantly now runs very very little. In addition he reset the pump as no one else has been able to do. They put up gutter guards as well and the whole job is of the highest quality and I am overjoyed to have this company available when I need anything else. The company does other kinds of work on houses as well and I will trust them to do anything I need here. They are reasonably priced especially when you consider the high quality of their work and that when Larry and his crew fix things it is right the first time!
