    They charged $125.00 for the inspection (which is subtracted if you contract with them) but we appreciated the thorough look and discussion. We discovered that there were bats using our window shutters as a roost. Their attitude towards wildlife is "live and let live" which was important to us. They were diligent in checking the traps and letting us know what they were doing during each visit to check the traps, seal up more holes, etc. We did receive other estimates and they were the lowest we received. We have a year service and we have our fingers crossed that our resident wildlife have found other homes. We would use them again.

    I called Thomas Pest Services at 9am and spoke to a gentleman at the call center. I received a call back within one hour and they were able to come to my house the same day. I was sent an email with the name and picture of the employee who was to do the work. They completed the work quickly and professionally. They wore booties in my house (so many contractors don't) and did an excellent job of evicting the pests. Highly recommended.

    Prompt, polite and knowledgeable service from both Neil and Matt.  After discovering a bat in our basement, we called late at night (almost 10p).  They were very accommodating on the phone, explaining the pros and cons of having them come to the house that very night to remove the bat (we determined it wasn't really necessary).  We were surprised when they were able to schedule an early appointment the following day.
    Both Neil and Matt were exceptionally knowledgeable and explained everything in a clear and concise way. They provided a full inspection of potential entry points for the bats and quoted prices (with guarantees) for mitigating the entry points.  They safely removed the bat that was in our basement, too!
    We would certain do business with Hudson Valley Wildlife Solutions again, (but hopefully won?t have to).

    Excellent, I left a message for Matt and received a call back within an hour and set an appointment for the next day, he was willing to come out that night if I wanted.  Matt and Neil were punctual and did a through inspection of the house, made recommendations after explaining the causes and best solutions.  They presented a very concise contract that was very fair.  They arrived the first day on time a did a very thorough job and installed traps despite the subzero wind chill temperature.  They came back daily to check the traps and remove the squirrels they caught. Once there were no signs of any squirrels left they sealed the entry points and applied some of the gel to repel the woodpeckers.  They were both very pleasant and seemed to know their business - a great team to work with.

    Original serviceman was too large to fit in attic even though salesman had come out to scope and quote the work. Service we recieved comprised of throwing two bait packs in the attic and then leaving, but not before handing us a $375 bill. Follow up service only focused on mice even though the primary issue was for the squirels. Tried to resolve the dispute with management but was during the discourse was presented with laughter as to why we thought we were entitled for any refund even though full service wasn't delivered...astonishingly poor customer service from start to finish!

    Chris inspected our house for bats as we had experienced an increase in bat sightings on the exterior of our home. He called us back quickly and made an appointment for the same day. Chris was on time for the appointment and inspected the exterior and attic of our home. Thankfully we did not have bats roosting in the house but he offered suggestions for things we might screen up better to be sure that we don't in the future. He graciously did not charge us for the service call although we did expect him to as he spent about 45 minutes at our home. Very professional and would call again if needs be.

    After an initial assessment on 1/31/14, it was determined that my squirrel issue was confined to a corner of the eaves next to the chimney. Almost every day (not Sunday) for two weeks, they set 4-5 Hav-A-Heart traps at different spots in my yard. They picked them up early the next day. I only knew they were here because I work from home and my window overlooks the driveway. Towards the end of the second week, they came back with a huge ladder, cleaned out the squirrel nest, and sealed it up. I didn't have to do anything and I never even spoke to them after the first assessment.

    Thomas Pest Services have very reasonable price and because they honor the Angie's List discount, the charges us less. He got the animal out of there and it was pretty good. They were timely and he did a lot of things. He explained why the things hide and how to get rid of them. Whoever they sent was excellent. If I had any pest problems, I would call them.

    An unknown animal entered from chimney flue into the fireplace smoke chamber. The animal made noise above damper at night. I called the first company to check the chimney during day time and they found nothing. The next day morning the mason came and checked the chimney from roof. He installed a sturdy cap after he confirmed that no animal was there. Actually he missed the animal because he could not see the complete smoke chamber from roof.
    So something happened that evening. The animal was sealed inside and tried extremely hard to get out. It made very terrible scratching noise with the damper.
    I called 3 animal exterminators who claimed to provide 24/7 emergency service. Darren was the only person who picked up the phone call, while the other two companies had no response even after I left voice message.
    Darren came after 30 minutes with all the available traps except raccoon trap. To our surprise, it was a big raccoon inside the chimney. He went up and took off the rain cap, so that the raccoon could escape later that night.
    He and his buddy came back the next day to confirm that the raccoon has left. Darren brought a camera to check the smoke chamber while his buddy looked down from roof at the same time. They put the cap back, and found the trace of raccoon. They set up two traps on its path for 4~5 days and check them every morning. In the end, we didn't trap the raccoon.
    The total cost includes $400 for emergency service and $400 for the following service with 1 year warranty of no animal in chimney. The cost is higher than what I expect. But they had quick response, prompt action, and provided professional service. I recommend you call them if you need 'emergency service', since you may also find they are the only company that demonstrates 24/7 service.

    The only thing that bothered me a bit was the scheduling.  It took a few calls to get a firm answer about whether or not the fellow would come out that day or the next. But  then I was called to to tell me for certain the fellow would be out that day and not to worry.
      
    The inspector arrived late in the day, but despite this he stayed about 1.5 hours trying to remove an animal that was trapped in my chimney.  He was not successful, but I felt he explored many options, and left a few things in place so the animal could possibly crawl out from where it was stuck.  He had told me that if the animal crawled out I should let him know the next day and that he planned to ask his boss for other suggestions.
    The next day, when I wanted him to come out to try another approach I'd read about online, they couldnt/didn't send someone, which was unfortunate as the animal was still very active - by the 3rd day the animal was not very active so, although the owner came out to take a look, he also couldn't get the animal (now presumed dead) out.  I was only charged for 1 visit, but at the end was advised to call a chimney sweep (which I have done).
    Although they didn't get the animal out I felt they did their best to try to do so, it was just the unique geometry of my fireplace that made it impossible without taking it apart.
