"Everything went the way they said it would.
, the technician, was super professional. They came out one day to determine what the problem" was. They returned the next day with the new compressor and installed it without a hitch. We are having some problems with our
top, so will probably ave them out again. Overall, we were very satisfied.

"Used this company first time last summer when our 2 year old Samsung dryer stopped working. Technician Mo came out during the scheduled time window, with a call" ahead, announcing that he is 10 min. away. He diagnosed the problem quickly (motor kaputt: human error as I forgot to place the filter back in its place after removing the lint.) As it is a good product and so "young" we decided to invest in a new motor. It needed to be ordered and Mo came back installing it when it arrived. No problem since. This time around, our 3 year old Electrolux range / oven needed help as the self cleaning feature did not work. Mo came back out, again with a phone call ahead within the scheduled time window. He again diagnosed the problem quickly. (The sensor went bad.) We are following Mo's recommendation to not use the self cleaning feature as there are grand possibilities to ruin the motherboard when using this self cleaning feature (the risk is especially high with high end , sophisticated ranges.) I bought some baking soda, made a paste and started cleaning the dirty spot. I could remove some of it, but then I needed to get a spray bottle of fume free oven cleaner and finished the job. We did not bother getting the sensor replaced as we decided to skip the self cleaning feature altogether. Mo has been on all occasions very professional, courteous and efficient. Will call them for any
need in the future. Highly recommend. TIP: Take a look at their website, I have seen a coupn that applies against the repair of an appliance!

If the ducts are venting through a window I'm assuming the duct work is all easily accessible.  Lowe's and Home Depot sell a cleaning kit that uses an electric drill to spin the brush as it goes through the ductwork.  I've found it to work quite well and you can do it yourself.  It may take a few passes the first time to get everything out if it has been a while since it was last cleaned.  Just make sure you get all of the loose lint out after running the brush through from both ends and you're good to go.  Please note that if the line is not hard but rather a flex duct line you can easily puncture a whole in it with this kit and will do better to clean it by hand.

As stated above, it can vary between companies.

Typically just an inspection implies you do not have a contract or agreement that may include discounts or free repairs.

With our company you would get the annual maintenace service that you should do every year, and if repairs are needed, they are extra, but you aviod paying a "service call charge" that would be related to most repairs, because you are paying for the "inspection" and we are already on site.

Inspections are often discounted in the slow seasons, and can usually be found advertised , at reduced prices , on Angie's List.

So consider Angie's List and find the best of the best in HVAC contractors!

I have never seen one of this type that does not exit the house. You would not want the grease dumping into your basement, even with a filter it will happen.

The greater part of your job will be carpentry as if there is a wall behind the stove a hole will have to be cut up through the basement into the wall up to the stove. Unless it is one of the stoves that allows for it to fit inside a cabinet below. To answer correctly most here would be a picture of where this project is being done. I have done motorized ones that extend up out of the counter when in use and then retract. Those exit through the cabinet and require the cook top is to the front of the counter and not a drop in one

As an added note these tend to be better as they do not pull the heat away from the stove top when in use as much as the ones flush with the stove. I have install quite a few and happen to have an Amana cook top with built in down draft and I have to shut it of to get water to boil on the back burners.

A carpenter will know what can be cut and what not in the basement, a sheet metal contractor should know as well but at the other end for the finish by the stove they might not. Most carpenters that do kitchens have installed the minimal amount of duct work for this. They just have to be carefull with the number of ellbows and the lenght of the duct.

Appliance Repair reviews in Saratoga Springs

I emailed my home warranty company around 7 am on 2/27/15 and I heard from Seven Star around 830 am. The snow storm was just beginning and the company was trying to fit me in before early afternoon because the news stations were forecasting unusually heavy wintry weather. I could not take off to meet them as I had to work at my office as much as I could that morning and told them that Monday would be fine. I also told them that, if they could work me in after lunch, then I would probably be working from home at that time but, again, reiterated that if the roads were bad then I could wait until Monday. To my surprise I heard from the company around 230 and they asked if I was home (I was) and if the tech could drop by to fix my dryer since I was the last stop and it was on the way back to the office. I said, of course, and he came and had to take apart my dryer to get to the rollers (the source of all the high pitched noises). He did not finish until 4 pm and I thanked the tech and the company several times as I feel they went over and above what most companies would or could do in the unusually heavy snowy weather that Dallas does not experience often. Am very pleased with their service and attitude. I received a call from their office the next day to check to make sure the dryer working ok and I thanked them again.
I will also say I did not have any trouble understanding or communicating with the tech or their office. I thought they acted very professionally and did everything they could to fix my dryer on the same day I called in with the problem despite all of the travel issues due to the snow.

First of all, this bottom freezer refrigerator is 14 yrs. old. It has been repaired several times by GE repair men who had to replace the evaporator fan motor each time they came out. The service warranty was renewed when it expired, which covered everything for another four yrs. I tried renewing again, but was told that it was too old to be sold another warranty.

eenough, the refrigerator went bad last month and I went looking for help on Angie's list.

I called
Saratoga Springs Appliance Repair Experts Provider Name Locked
and told him that my Kitchen Aid refrigerator water dispenser wasn't working. I knew it was still making ice, the water line running up the freezer door wasn't frozen, and that the dispenser made a sound when the dispenser button was pressed. Without hesitation,
Saratoga Springs Appliance Repair Experts Provider Name Locked
advised that he was sure that the water tubing in the refrigerator (behind the crisper drawer) had frozen and explained to that all I needed to do was get a blow dryer to unfreeze the water tubing.
I did this and it worked! I called
Saratoga Springs Appliance Repair Experts Provider Name Locked
to let him know that I would be happy to make some sort of payment (after all, he gave me all the consultation over the phone), but he insisted that I could just refer him and perhaps write him an online review. So here it is!

After being stood up by
Saratoga Springs Appliance Repair Experts Provider Name Locked
(no call no response) joined Angie's List to find a competent appliance repair company. I live two hours away and the problem was in a tenant's apartment. From the initial contact to the end this company was so professional and efficient. They called the tenant to schedule the appointment and contacted me, as the owner, every step of the way. From start to finish in less than 48 hours problem was solved.

I called
Saratoga Springs Appliance Repair Experts Provider Name Locked
to get an estimate on a service call as our dryer stopped working suddenly. We were debating about getting it fixed based on the age of our unit. After checking a few things out ourselves, I called
Saratoga Springs Appliance Repair Experts Provider Name Locked
and he was able to fit us into his schedule that day. As planned, he called about 40 minutes before his arrival to confirm our appointment. He determined the problem with our unit shortly after arriving. He was very friendly, professional and knowledgeable and based on his recommendation we decided it was worth getting the unit fixed. We would definitely use

I called
Saratoga Springs Appliance Repair Experts Provider Name Locked
because I had a very positive experience with him a few months ago, when he came out to fix our dryer. The very short, stiff dryer duct hose had become disconnected when the dryer was moved to clean behind it. He suggested replacing the short stiff hose for a longer, more flexible one, so this wouldn't happen again, which cost an additional $10 or so. In addition, he swept behind the dryer and checked to make sure it didn't have any lint buildup, explaining that's a serious fire hazard. I didn't ask him to do anything except reconnect the hose, and he went completely above and beyond the call of duty. I was very favorably impressed.
Regarding the freezer, he said wasn't sure it was the timer and that it could be 2 other more costly problems, but after
listening closely and asking pertinent questions, he suggested replacing
the timer first, as it was the least expensive thing to do and would be
diagnostic. We had a previous repair person from our Home Warranty
repair service stay for ~ 3 hours, misdiagnosed the problem, saying
there wasn't enough freon. He said that type of freon is difficult to
come by because of changed environmental standards, which is true. But
the Home Warranty repair service would not authorize any repair, and
said the only thing they would do was reimburse us $500 after we
replaced the refrigerator/freezer unit, which would cost thousands of dollars. So we decided to ask for
Saratoga Springs Appliance Repair Experts Provider Name Locked
's second opinion, which saved us thousands of dollars as we don't
have to replace a freezer that he could fix. Initially,
Saratoga Springs Appliance Repair Experts Provider Name Locked
the part would be less expensive. I think he said $40, and it turned out
to be more, but still well below $100 which we had expected from this
appliance brand.
In addition,
Saratoga Springs Appliance Repair Experts Provider Name Locked
was very professional, cordial and polite and I would recommend him for any appliance repair that's in his area of expertise.
- Emily R.

My experience was great. They came the same day I called and showed up on time. The fixed it fast and gave me tips on future maintenance to keep it working longer. The service tech was professional, friendly and cleaned up when he was done.
