    Klein, Dr. Bruce P.
My husband blew out his knee playing soccer several years ago but didn't get medical treatment at that time. He had been suffering from bouts of knee pain that went away when he wiggled his leg (torn miniscus) but he put off seeing a Doctor until working on a ladder for a few days sent his knee over the edge. Went to our PCP and she said he needed an Orthopedist. She recommended the practice (Canadaigua Orthopaedic Associates) because of her past interactions with them as referring physician and patient. My sister had ACL repair surgery done by Dr. Klein about 20 years ago and highly recommended him. Everyone at the practice was very friendly and helpful. They are the most prompt doctor's office we have ever been to (we have yet to wait more than 10 minutes to see a doctor after entering). Dr. Klein is extremely friendly and clearly spelled out for us what my husband's injuries were and what treatment options he had. It is not exaggeration to say he has the best bedside manner of any doctor we've met . He wasn't pushing one treatment option over another, just gave us the info we needed and told my husband to think it over and let them know what he decided. My husband was able to speak to his PA when he called the office 2 days later with more questions. When he decided on the treatment he wanted Dr. Klein met with us again to go over what would be the procedure for the surgery as well as the steps he needed to take afterwards in order to make a full recovery. The day of the surgery he came out to talk with us before my husband was even admitted to see if we had any other questions or concerns. Dr. Klein checked on my husband several times while he was in the post-surgical recovery area and helped me clear up a billing/insurance error that had delayed a piece of medical equipment my husband needed post-surgery. We have nothing but good things to say about this doctor.

Art Smuckler exceeded my expectations. He examined my feet painstakingly, and after taking all his measurements and impressions, he told me that my problem was that my toes were misplaced due to many years of wearing wrong-sized shoes. He has ordered orthotics and special shoes for me, but I will only have to wear them for a 12-week period, during which I will have to adhere to an exercise program. I was more than gratified when he told me that after that period, I can wear and quot;normaland quot; shoes. Obviously, not everybody will have that result, but I'm certain he's the first to correctly diagnose my problem, and I'm grateful to be in his care.

    Dr. Brian Giordano
This was our second appointment with him. He did more movements, turning her leg one way and another, strength, asking which way it hurts more, and reviewed her MRI and CT scan. He showed us exactly what was wrong and pointed to the areas on the screen. He explained what her hip is supposed to look like compared to what it does look like. He then gave us three different ways it can be taken care of. He also told us one of the options is not a good idea at her age. He also told us it is not something that should be left alone. Out next appointment is with Dr. Giordano and a colleague who does this. We will go over the options again with him also and decide the best way to take care her problem. I am extremely pleased with the way he talked to us and his thoroughness. We waited maybe 2-3 minutes from the time we got into the exam room until he came in. I would highly recommend him for pediatric orthopaedics

She was a great listener and gave me ample time to describe my symptoms and explain what makes my condition worse/better etc. She prescribed several treatments/suggestions: x-ray, injection, ice, and how to look for the proper shoe/sneaker and orthotic that would help with arch support (great advice). She also reassured me to come back if it didn't improve because she had several other things she could do. She was so thorough, caring and reassuring that she could help and she certainly did. I'm back to power walking hills without pain.

I did not find them through Angie's List, actually the clinic I go to for everything said that he was quite good with knees and certainly he is. So, I do not know where to begin, he went in and scrapped the arthritis out, fixed it in, took the torn meniscus out and I walked out of the hospital on crutches without being in a ton of pain. Regarding availability, he is kind of busy but he gets you in as soon as he can. His office environment is fairly pleasant, I guess. He has things set up there so that people on canes and crutches can get around really easy. He has got the furniture far enough apart and he has got widened up chairs that makes it easy to get in out. Regarding punctuality, he is pretty much about the same as any other doctor but he tries. I have never had to wait too long. His staff, they are pretty friendly. He is very good at explaining and answering any questions that you have. As long as you ask him the questions or stuff he is more than happy to give you an explanation. Regarding effectiveness of treatment I have no complaints at all, like I said I walked out of the hospital and three days later I could leave the crutches behind. Regarding billing and administration, I will have to give him an "A" on that because the hospital miss-billed something and they straightened it up for me when I could not get it fixed myself.

He has an office in Syracuse and in Gerneva. He just did my cervical surgery, I had one 9 years ago, too. So far so good. The office and staff is personable, clean and friendly. I will be back in 6 weeks.

From the time that I arrived 10AM, and until the time I left approximately 3PM I felt comfortable and well cared for. Everything proceeded just like a well oiled clock. Each step of my stay with all the different nurses, aides and doctors went very smoothly. I was quite impressed with the efficiency of the procedure, and the lay out of the facility. I awoke alert and with no ill effects and was on my way home in about one hour. I was given excellent information as to what to expect, and received calls the next day from both the facility and my doctor as to my well being. I would definitely use this practice again regarding anything Orthopedic.

    Lanehan, Dr.
There is nothing I dislike about him. He is very pleasant and gentle and thoroughly explains what he has to do. My follow-up has been with his physician’s assistant, so I’ve only had two encounters with him. I don’t have any complaints thus far about the doctor, his physician’s assistant, or his group. Hands are his specialty. My first encounter with him was very brief. The second encounter was before going into surgery. I am very pleased with how the surgery turned out, and his bedside manner is wonderful. He’s caring and friendly. He made sure I completely understood what was going on, and all the issues around the surgery. He didn’t rush me, unlike some physicians.
