AAB Capital Assets, LLC Insulation DivisionI just had my house raised almost 3 feet because of past flooding along Lake Ontario. I hired Josh (AB Capital) to foam underneath the house and add insulation in my attic. The morning Josh and his wife Stephanie arrived, my pipes were frozen. They created a temporary barrier for me, set up a propane heater to blast warm air in the temporary enclosure, and thawed my pipes so I would have water. We rescheduled the insulation installation for the next morning, but again, my pipes froze overnight, so he set up something more sophisticated and my pipes quickly thawed. He and Stephanie then went to work in freezing temperatures to do the job I hired them to do, and I couldn't be happier. Last night, my floor was warm, my furnace was able to cycle on and off normally, and my second floor temperature was finally comfortable (not too hot), AND I had water in the morning. I'm so happy they did this job. Josh is incredibly knowledgeable, professional, and quick responding. What a great company!- Laurie H.

ASol Foam & Insulation LLCIt wasn’t a big job, so I expected no one would even do it without charging us way too much. To my surprise Sean gave us an awesome quote and then went out of his way to get this done before the weather got too cold. I highly recommend giving them a call.- Kelly W.

AEnergy Savers LLCThey were very honest and came out and gave me an honest quote for the work that needed to be done. They took the time to come inside the home and gave me an accurate explanation for what they were going to charge me for. I was happy with the pricing and they also knew exactly what insulation to use. Overall it was a very good experience working with them.- Alejandro C.

AExplicit ExteriorsExplicit Exteriors is without doubt a first-rate company. Jason and his team have seamlessly completed 3 jobs for us, both interior and exterior. They pay attention to detail, work cleanly, complete jobs in a timely manor, and are trustworthy. What sets them even further above most other topnotch contractors is that they are creative thinkers. One such challenge was finding the right design for a partial roof over our front door, one that blended with the existing structure. The design was perfect and looks as though it was part of the original design. I'm very picky and would not hesitate to recommend Explicit Exteriors for any of your upcoming jobs.- Erica D.

APerfect ExteriorsIt is obvious that efficiency, quality, and rapport are important to the Perfect Exteriors family. Every person we came into contact with, whether directly from the company or a company contracted from outside, was respectful and dedicated to delivering the highest quality materials and service. The owner, Ed, took the time to drive an hour and a half to meet with us and answer any questions we had about the process before we committed. After receiving quotes from different companies, Perfect Exteriors had the best pricing. But it wasn’t only the pricing that made us choose Perfect Exteriors, it was the knowledge, experience and respect that they showed right from the beginning. Ed kept in touch throughout the entire project, proving his care and dedication to his customers. While the work was being done, Milton and his crew were absolutely amazing!! They were consistently prompt every morning and worked hard all throughout the day. They left their workspace clean at the end of every shift, which was important since we have a puppy and 2 young children running around. Throughout their entire time here, they, too, were courteous, kind hearted, and respectful. The true star of the show is the project manager, Steve. He is a man of many talents who repeatedly saved the day! When something unexpected would come up and seemed overwhelming, he was able to quickly assess the problem and deliver a solution that worked! He takes action and gets the job done, all while being respectful and kind (but firm!). I am so happy that Steve was part of this process! Overall, I can not recommend this company enough!! We will definitely be using Perfect Exteriors again for any future projects! Thank you, team!- Aeowyn B.

ANorthern Enterprises General Contracting, LLCJust wanted to express my gratitude to George Ludwig and all his hard working folks at Northern Enterprises! My aunt was away from her home in Granville NY because she was helping care for my parents who both had medical issues in Virginia. Well the furnace went out, and the pipes burst and this resulted in water damage. I was helping her out with the insurance claim because she was busy with my folks. I was so lucky to find Northern Enterprises online. Not only was George Ludwig very responsive, he really helped handle the insurance claim too. We could not come back to NY to deal with any of this in person and it was just as Covid-19 was starting to be a concern in the states. George kept in touch with me by em-mail and text. He sent us any documents that we needed to sign, he sent photos of the work as things were progressing. He even waited to receive the final payment for the work he did until after we got the final payment from the insurance company. Not only did he do the work we asked, he did it with excellence! He went over and above anything that we expected. The house has been restored beautifully. And we never felt like we were at a disadvantage. There were no hidden expenses or unexpected expenses either. George made sure everything went well. He is a man of integrity who you can really trust. This whole thing started in January 2020- and George had it all squared away by early March. THANK YOU GEORGE.- stacy w.

AFoamco IncFoam Co were great. One of the owners made an appointment to give me an estimate the day after my first inquiry. I booked an appointment the following day. But I had to change the appointment twice because my other contractors were not completed. No problem. I called up and they rescheduled, twice, not complaints, no attitude. The crew that did the install took one day. The job was well done, looks great. They left the house clean as a whistle. I had a great experience with this vendor. Thank you.- Randall M.

AFoamco IncMore often than not, contractors are nightmares. By contrast, Foamco is a dream. Although they're based over 40 miles away, they came up promptly to view my attic and provide a quote to insulate it with open cell foam. The price was perfect. Any less and I would have been suspicious. Any more and I couldn't have afforded the work. In addition to the price, calculated before the principal left my driveway, they answered a variety fo technical questions about alternative approaches, clarified what condition I had to have the space in for the quote to apply, and assured me it would be a complete job. Three weeks later, they arrived as scheduled to an attic stripped of obstructions and old ceiling components. The crew of two proceeded to insulate the entire roof, which has tall peaks, two dormers, deep eaves, high gables, and two large semi-obstructed openings into an adjacent cold attic. By 3PM every surface exposed to the exterior was fully foamed and cut back to the rafter surface, ready for sheetrocking. They sealed the irregular openings into the annex with foamed cardboard panels (one of which is removable for access). It was an amazing one day transformation. I now have a warm, cozy, usable attic instead of a giant heat radiator. I'm pretty sure the job will pay back in about three years, without even accounting for the added usable space. I cannot recommend Foamco highly enough as a contractor that does what they promise and then some. I would absolutely not want to do that work and I admire the employees, Jay and Pablo, for their dedication under very unpleasant conditions. This is the second vendor I've chosen from Angie's List, and both experiences have been very gratifying. One warning, the scope of building codes have has now been extended into anything that affects the building envelope, so with the Foamco rig parked rather obviously in front of the house for less than 3 hours, I got an authoritative knock on the door from the town building inspector, flashing his badge and telling me I needed a permit for insulation. Fortunately, I was totally believable when i told him i had no inkling that such work needed a permit, so he let me pay for it without penalty. Beware the authorities. In my case, foam with a fire spread rating of 25 or less does not require sheetrock or other flame retardant covering.- John G.

AVery glad I did it. I need a new furnace. There's a lot wrong with it. Found out it's almost 15 years old and could die during winter. The tech will get me prices on different ones and will go from there.

AExcellent ! I’ve been a customer for 5 years. initially, when I purchased home, second day there, I wake up & furnace went out during night. Frigid winter. 20 degrees outside. I contacted the installer the original owner hired 6 years earlier listed on side of vent. A company on William St, Cheektowaga, NY. Tech came out. Said “ broken part. $ 500 + labor and warranty on entire 95% efficiency furnace not transferable to you second owner. So, it’d be wiser to replace furnace & get new warranty. The old “ if you were my mother, I’d be so concerned for you keeping this one”. Approximately $ 4,000. Put 50% down & scheduled install. Something just didn’t seem right... So then contacted Capital Heat, Depew, NY who I had install furnace & C/A when I owned a townhouse. Nick, the tech came out. He said “that part isn’t broken. It’s dirty.” He cleaned, did all the testing for proper levels of functioning. EVERY one in proper range. He gave me percentages & told me to contact that company, give them #s & demand credit back & cancel install. This month contacted Capital Heat. Emergency removal of whole house humidifier system. Mold causing me a hospitalization. Owner, prioritized & had system removed a few days later even though booked solid for weeks. Capital will always be my company.

DJob was done well. Happy with the work. BUT although I asked workers to wear masks while in my home, I had to mention it three times during their eight hours in my home. Because of Covid, that upset me enough to write this review and I will be sending a letter to the CEO to complain.

FWe were hesitant to hire because of someone who took them to court, but figured we would give them a shot. This is a father daughter company. They are not organized or professional. The father said he would save us a date. We called the next morning to schedule a time to sign the contract. The daughter said she gave it to someone else and her father should not be promising. So fine, we waited the extra week. When it came time for the down payment the price went up. They quickly fixed that. She told me to call her when I was on my way home and she would meet me. She was almost an hour late because of her having a new baby. We had to go to her car to sign the contract because she didn’t want to leave her new baby in the car. Ok we looked past that. We called the day before to make sure they would not stiff us. The daughter promised as long as their hose wasn’t broke they would be here. My husband took off work and at 630 am we get a text message saying they were not coming because they had too much snow in the southern tier. I called to explain we checked to make sure they were coming the day before because we knew a couple people who got stiffed, and that my husband took The day off to be here. He got all frazzled and said I’m not doing the job. They have a deposit from Me of 1400.
