    Bright Construction Stone Inc
Quality work done on time. Crew was on the job whenever weather permitted. Quoted competitive price. Additional work was priced too high and therefore refused. Looking to hire again for another project if the pricing remains competitive. Very responsive text/phone/email. The owner easy to get alone with.

Everything was absolutely amazing from start to finish. The employees are nice and knowlegeable. They are a very clean company. I have two dogs and they made sure everything was picked up so the dogs couldn't hurt themselves. The owner of the company, Groppa, came to the jobsite every day and answered any questions and went over the status of their progess with me. Their office staff is always friendly and courteous, they get me where I need to go quickly and professionaly. Its a family owned business and I would highly recommend using them!

Overall great job.  Arrived on time; vans (2) are clean with company name and contacts displayed prominently.  Both Noel and Omar clearly take a sense of pride in their overall professionalism - they display a keen attention to detail in everything they do.
Jobs were all done to a high standard.   The only way you could tell they'd been there is that all the areas in which they worked were cleaner than when they got there.
I have already recommended them to neighbors and would most definitely use them in the future.   Very relieved to have a "go-to" operation to take of random jobs that while not always big, still need to be done and done well.

This is my third time working with Flavio. Each time we have taken on larger jobs. He is a pleasure to work with. He is a consummate professional and takes great pride in his work. He is a terrific craftsman. His team is always prompt, clean and follow his lead. I would highly recommend Fl?vio and his team.

    Rock Solid General Contractors Corp
I found Rock Solid on Angie's List.  James Walsh was one of four masons who came to the house and provided estimates on the project.  Two were wildly out of line--one too low and the other too high--but the two in the middle were for a similar scope of work. I chose James because he was thoughtful and thorough about explaining the challenges of the project, the scheduling and some other options to explore.  His price was nearly 20% below the estimate provided by the contractor who had done good work for me in the past.  That, plus his ratings on Angies List, tipped the scale.  I had to wait about 6 weeks for a spot on his schedule.
The project took three days, start to finish.  They removed a battered asphalt driveway and cut and poured a new trench drain.  They replaced the driveway with concrete and added some nice stone edging using loose stones from on site.  In addition, they removed and replaced a step-up walkway with a nicely sloped walk that blends into the driveway.
Finally, they also repaired steps that Bellantoni built for me last year; apparently the bottom step out my backdoor was nearly hollow.  (Bellantoni was the mason mentioned above who offered to do the same work for more than twice the amount Rock Solid charged.) The concrete has been curing for about five days and looks great.
During the 6 week interval from our agreement to the start date, James called several times to let me know the date was approaching, so I wasn't worried that nothing was happening.
This was a great experience.  I'd recommend Rock Solid to anyone.

    Doctor Pavers
Roberto was very prompt to contact me and kept in contact but did not pester. He had asked for details of what was to be done but I found this  difficult to explain. When he turned up to do the job, he explained that it would take much more time than the 3 hours I had already purchased.  (It turned out to be about 10 hours of work) and thus I had a balance to pay. (About 150 was the special deal and I paid another 500)
He was very polite, got straight on with the work and did not waste any time. The re concreting of the walls is very well done. It is very smooth straight and solid.
I would not hesitate to recommend him and would definitely use him again.
I think I got very good value for my work and I am very happy.

    L & Z MASONRY CORP
Luis was very prompt and completed the work on-time and within a week of my call. I was extremely pleased with the workers that he sent to re-construct my front steps! The work that they did met or exceeded my expectations so I would definitely say that the quality was excellent. The only problem was that Luis and I agreed on a price that exceeded the original Angie's List coupon of $99, however as the work was being finished, he tried to raise the price by $100 more than the $300 agreed upon project cost. Had this not happened, I would have given L&Z masonry straight A's as I was quite pleased by the work completed by his employees. Overall, I was pleased, but disappointed in Luis for trying to re-negotiate the agreed upon price for the work.

    ALFREDO LANDSCAPING INC
He was recommended by a friend who had extensive stone retaining walls built on his property. Al Alfredo is very likable and pretty knowledgable and easy to work with. He had as crew of about 4 men who did good work and generally cleaned up after themselves. For the pool collapse he had a subcontractor in with a large excavator who was excellent and efficient. Overall the job came out well and the area seems to be draining nicely along the slopes. Al is very cost conscious and offered the best price we had by several thousand dollars (some bids were more than twice his price), but to some extent you get what you pay for. For example we filled some of the topsoil about six inches up, along a wooden fence, that runs along our neighbors yard. There is a two inch opening at the bottom of the fence and I didn't want the soil and water to run into the next yard.. Al's crew said they would protect the fence with "plastic". They then placed (not stapled or nailed down) a six inch strip of garbage bag type plastic along the fence before covering it with dirt. I ended up installing a plastic barrier from home depot myself that night. He did a nice job of laying down 2 foot by 3 foot blue stone pavers to create a walk way for us and I think he has a good "eye" for how things should look and be spaced. Overall he offers great value and is very likeable.

    Prime Home Improvement
Took approximately 1 week from initial contact with Gino to completion of work. Came with three crews - one for the chimney, one for the front of the house, and one for the back. Masons worked all day until the job was finished. Roofers did 95% of the work on the first day, completed the rest in a few hours on the 2nd day. Excellent, efficient job by high quality workers. Couldn't have asked for anything better.

    Cleiton Masonry Inc
This was first-class service from beginning to end. The owner had a full understanding of what I needed and made intelligent refinements based on his experience. The firm was on time, quick, and responsive to my needs. They weren't the cheapest estimate (nor the most expensive), but I justify the additional cost because it's essential to get front steps right in terms of safety and appearance, and their craftsmanship in selecting stone and attending to the finish were exemplary.
