    Vinnie's Appliance Service Inc
I called Vinnie, he was very responsive and provided a ballpark quote over the phone. He arrived at the right time, he opened up the dryer and explained what was working and not. It was a defective part which he had. He replaced the part, cleaned up the machine and explained what needed to be done to avoid future issues. The whole work took around 30mins. The price was below his phone estimate. I was very pleased with his service and would definitely recommend and hire him again.

My late afternoon call was returned quickly. Vinnie came the following morning. He quickly determined the cause of the malfunction and replaced the defective part. He gave me a couple of tips to avoid future problems.

    Appliance Works Phoenix Appliance Repair
Scott arrived on time and looked at the refrigerator/freezer to see why the freezer was way too warm. He ended up calling GE & working with someone there to pinpoint the problem. He added freon and suggested I keep checking the temperature on the freezer, which went down as soon at the freon was added. Scott was professional, knowledgeable, intelligent, extremely pleasant & anxious to fix the problem. The person who answers the phone at Appliance Works was also extremely pleasant and anxious to help. It's a family owned business and you can tell right away . I was extremely lucky to have stumbled on this company and I will call on them any time I have a problem with a large appliance. This is a company you can trust and rely on. AAA++++++

County TV & Appliance -- Your SMART HOME Store
We have had only great experiences at County Appliance. The sales people are friendly and knowledgeable.  They weren't pushy or busy trying to get us to upgrade.  They gave us the information that we needed in order to make an informed purchase.  They also have great sales!! The appliances we purchased (on two separate occasions) were also delivered and installed by professional contractors.  The contractor that installed our dishwasher was nice enough to help us lock our fridge into place.  Overall, we highly recommend County Appliance.

    Local Appliance Repair of Westchester/Greenwich
Anthony looked over the dryer and determined that the motor was broken.  He explained that in his experience the GE model I have has motor issues and they break often and it was not worth replacing.  The reason I am writing this review is he could have told me the price and offered to fix the dryer instead he was honest about the reliability of the machine, the motor and that fixing it was not worth it.  I will be using Anthony again should any of my other appliances break.

Mark's Appliance Heating & Cooling Service
Can't say enough good things about Mark.  I woke up this morning and my oven was not working, I called around to a handful of service people I found on Angie's List.  Mark was the only one to tell me he would come same day and was the most reasonably priced so I thought I had nothing to lose as I have a 50+ year old Roper wall oven.  My kitchen is basically from the 'mad men' era, the Roper oven has worked like a dream since we moved into the house about 15 years ago, anyway, I wasn't hopeful because of the age of this appliance.  Mark came a few hours after first speaking to him, he worked for about 2 hours and had my oven working better than before, I really can't say enough good things.  I 100% appreciated Mark's quick response and reasonable pricing.

    Mr. Appliance of Lower Westchester
When I originally called Mr. Appliance my refrigerator was not cooling properly. They were polite and sent someone right away. He said it was the condenser and would cost $226 to fix this, but failed to mention that it only had to be vacuumed. I just assumed it was a part that had to be replaced because of the cost. If I knew he was only going to vacuum it I would have done
this myself, as the refrigerator is ten years old and I didn't want to put much money into it. I did pay him since I had told him to go ahead and fix it, but apparently this wasn't the problem as the refrigerator and freezer were still fluctuating in temperature.
I called and they came back again within a few days. When he returned the second time he claimed we needed the fan motor replaced and had to order the part, but that this wasn?t broken the first time he came. So it ?coincidentally? broke while he was  vacuuming. This time while he was working on the refrigerator the ice machine ?coincidentally? broke. I have never had a problem with the ice machine previously.
While waiting for the part to come in, the refrigerator did start working again (but not the ice machine). This on and off temperature variation was the original problem, so since I had already put $243 into repairs, I decided to go with the additional $210 to repair it. They said the cost was $360, but after I complained they took $150 off, so that reduced it to $210. When he came back with the part my son asked him to look at the ice machine because it had stopped working when he was there last time. After he replaced the fan motor he told my son he hooked up the ice machine again so it?s working fine now. He obviously didn?t wait to see if it was working since not one ice cube came out. While working on it he broke the light bulb in the freezer and told us we should buy a new one because he didn't have one, which I wouldn't have minded if everything else was working.
I called back again and the person I was dealing with (Kelly) said he would talk to the repair man and call me back, but he never called back. I did catch him once more and he said he thought he called me back. I was told that the ice machine would need a new part to fix it (I wonder how he knew that without looking at it again) but  I refused to pay them anymore money and told him I don't believe the fan and ice machine "coincidentally" broke while the repair man was there. Again he said he would call back, but again, he didn't. So now, here I am with a broken ice machine and buying ice at the gas station.
My son called the main franchise office and they were very sympathetic about it and said they would talk to them and have him call us, but he never called. So again my son called the franchise office and they said they would call him back again but they can't do anything about the problem.
About a week later the refrigerator stopped cooling yet again. Now I've spent $453 to fix this and ended up with a refrigerator that works randomly, a broken ice machine and light and have had to throw out hundreds of dollars worth of food that I replaced each time I thought it was fixed. I don't buy much food at one time anymore.
I would NEVER use this company again. All I would like from them now is to refund my money since they weren't able to fix this, but they don't even have the courtesy to call me back. Although the main franchise office was polite and courteous, they don't take any responsibility for their franchises.I will eventually be buying a new refrigerator.

Before we hired Monte to do the job we called and explained what we needed done and he said he could do the job.  He  was supposed to replace the dryer vent and re-route the dryer vent from the soffit to our attic window.  He replaced the vent and left the vent on the attic floor underneath the attic window.  He said he could not attach the vent to the window and said it was fine to leave the vent underneath the window not attached to anything. When we asked about moisture in the attic and lint getting on the insulation he said it would not be a problem because it was underneath the attic window.  He also had my husband help him move our dryer and charged us $200.00.  My husband went to home depot and asked some of the workers how to attach the dryer vent to the attic window and my husband wound up doing the job himself.  I would not recommend this company.

We had to have them come out several times to fix the dryer and eventually they stopped responding to us and never fixed our dryer. I don't understand how they have A average reviews at all based on their poor service, responsiveness and most of all professionalism. I would discourage anyone from using them.

    Berger Appliances Inc
While the prices were good. The service I received after was horrible. I had an issue with my new refrigerator and called the store. They told me to come by and they would provide me with a new filter. They were adamant that the filter I was given was the right one, despite the fact that I explained it wouldn't fit. It turned out I was correct and the filter was not the one I needed. I called and spoke the owner to make him aware of my experience and he really didn't seem to care. He told me that I should come back ( 15 miles out of my way) and they would give me the right one. I asked if they could mail it and was then told that the next time they were in my area, they would drop off a filter at my house. In addition when they delivered my gas stove, I was never told that I needed a plumber to install. That was never ever mentioned by my salesman. Extremely frustrating experience. I will not recommend them to my friends and family.
