Ron really is the BEST! I have referred family and friends to Ron and everyone is so impressed with him. I had asked Ron to give me a quote on a new drywell. He came and I did not realize he was going to refer me to another company due to my situation. Meanwhile Ron patiently took the time to make suggestions and recommendations all the while knowing he wasn't going to do the job. I wanted to write this review to thank Ron for his genuine kindness and I will keep telling everyone to use Evergreen because Ron and Sandy are the best!

    M & M Precison Plumbing
Straight forward and simple plumbing repair. Gave me a price on the phone. When he showed and completed the job he increased the price and then added a $150.00 surcharge for added work. This guy is con artist. I definitely do no recommend and would not hire again.

    National Heating Corp.
Excellent! National Heating was recommended to us by National Grid. We were originally hesitant since there were no reviews on them but after meeting Waylon a few times, we liked how professional and skilled he sounded. He was patient in answering all my questions and did a thorough job explaining the process. We were a little skeptical of his start date since we didn't think he would get the permit from the town so quickly ( a change in schedule would mean rearranging my work schedule), so we were pleasantly surprised when he and his crew showed up on time as promised. The job took about 3 1/2 days (including the tank abandonment job). Waylon was present during the whole process and ensured the job was going according to our contract. We also had our water heaters replaced, our gas lines increased in size to accommodate the additional gas usage, and new ventilation from boiler room to the outside. After they completed the job, they swept clean all the mess and left our home neat and tidy. From start to finish, National Heating was professional and did an excellent job! We're really happy with their work and highly recommend them!!

    Ernie Frank Carpentry
Ernie is currently in the middle of my project but, after seeing the last review, I just had to write mine: I can be very detail-oriented and specific in my requests. But, since the first time we met, Ernie has been nothing but kind, generous, and patient when dealing with me. I spoke with a few contractors before him (some that were also highly rated on Angie's List) and he is head and shoulders above everyone else. During our initial consultation, he patiently walked through the house with me, listening to my requests, for two hours. The next day, he scheduled his plumber, electrician and painter for a consultation as well. They all pointed out several issues and made suggestions that were an improvement from my original requests. No other contractor did that. That's the thing with Ernie and his subs, he doesn't just do what you ask - he makes suggestions if he thinks it can be done better. But not in a salesperson, pressure-filled way. If you disagree, he will always go with what you prefer. However, his expertise has been absolutely invaluable. I truly cannot express enough how grateful I am to have found a general contractor who has made me feel GOOD about this incredibly stressful process. Not only that, he has the BEST team of people working with and for him. From his own personal team to the sub-contractors he uses - they are all as meticulous about their work as he is. Ernie told me that he treats every job he does as if he were working on his own home and it really is true. You'd think that with this level of detail and quality his prices would be through the roof. They're not. He's always quoted me very fairly for the work and change orders I've requested. I really couldn't ask for more. I could go on but this review has to come to an end at some point. Anyway, long story short, any homeowner will be more than lucky if they can book him for a job!!

    CityWide Sewer & Drain
We had been steady and loyal customers for several years with no problems until this incident. On New Years Day, our cesspool backed up. I called them for service, only to discover that, without any notice or warning, they flagged us to no longer provide service, and when I asked for a reason, they refused to provide one. They left us with a backed up cesspool on New Years Day with nowhere to turn. We eventually found another provider who, during the course of the service, found a larger main cesspool that Citywide somehow missed. These people are incompetent and irresponsible and should be avoided at all costs.

Refused to do job and insisted I needed new pan without doing any testing. Judgment based only on my reporting that I had grout mold (not presently), previously had pan replaced, and presence of an original very old drain grate. I had my plumber come to verify need. Plumber sealed drain and filled shower bottom with water to test for possible leak. After nine hours no sign of leak was found. Plumber said shower is OK and does not need new pan. "Save your money."

    Ferguson Bath & Kitchen Gallery
Ferguson customer service was beyond EXCELLENT. They certainly did everything possible to see to it we were taken care of properly. We will never buy another Newport Brass faucet but we certainly will not hesitate to do business again with Ferguson. In this day and age to see such wonderful customer service is amazing.

    The Home Improvement Professionals
We have a large deck that was in desperate need of repair. The deck wood floor was rotten, and it was a dangerous situation to walk on it. The fencing was in similarly bad condition, wobbly and splintered. I had called around for several estimates, and they all said everything needed to be replaced, leading to a high estimated cost. Then, I dialed David Shonfeld from The Home Improvement Professionals whom I found through Angie's List. When I read through his website, I liked the fact that he specialized in bringing decks up to code. That meant to me that he would pay attention to detail, and safety was of importance to him. David came to our home that same afternoon, within 2 hours of my call. He is a pleasant fellow, easy to talk to. He made suggestions that no one else made. He looked at the foundation that the deck flooring is on (my deck is raised about 4 feet), and said it was solid. So, he suggested to keep the foundation and lay new 5/8 deck boards running perpendicular to the existing deck. Through our conversations, I discovered David has a background of engineering and I find him using that to help him solve things. It all makes sense. He first reinforced the deck structure to the foundation. Then, he replaced the wood fencing which we originally were not going to do, but with a nice new deck, we decided to match the look. He spray painted the fencing with a special paint sprayer for thick paint, and it looks great. Then his crew laid the deck wood. It looks so nice and fresh. He said not to stain it yet, to let it breathe and then next spring/summer he will visit and tell us when we could stain it. He mentioned that he will observe which sections see less sun and get more moldy, and might need to add a special anti-mold agent to the paint. Davids attention to detail is a big plus. David also built new small gate door for us since the old one was falling apart. The gate door is a special size, so he couldnt buy a preconstructed gate. He actually built it with wood pieces that he had, and it looks great. David also pointed out a few other things around the perimeter of the house which needed addressing. I was aware of several of them, but never got around to doing them. This was not why I originally hired him, but I was glad that he brought these things up. He put foam into several gaps around our house so that bugs and cold air wont get in; he fixed a gutter that was poorly designed and crushed; he is repairing a couple of our sliding screen doors which had holes, was warped, off track and couldnt slide; and he will be insulating several exposed pipes by out AC units. It seems he can fix so many things inside and outside the house. I brought him inside the house to show him things that Id like fixed. We have a custom shower/steam door that would not close and look tilted. I showed that to several other contractors, and they said the whole thing needs to be replaced. I showed it to David, he went to his van and brought an electrical device, and in 6 minutes, it was fixed!! He also shaved around 10 of my doors, put locks on the basement door, and realigned our sliding closet doors. I am so glad to know David. I feel I can trust him to address any issues in my home that he knows he can handle. If he thinks its in the realm of a different specialist, then he knows to refer as well. I highly recommend David Shonfeld of The Home Improvement Professionals without reservation! He gets an A+ from us!!!
