    E & M Waterproofing Inc
Ed And his team were fantastic. This is the second time weve used his company and would highly recommend them. Ed is honest, identifies the problem, tells you exactly what you need done and his companys pricing is fair. He doesnt try to sell you services that arent necessary for your homes problem. They repaired and waterproofed a large vertical crack in our foundation where water was entering He also stands by his companys warranty as an area we had done almost 10years ago was showing some evidence of water and they redid it without charge using newest materials. When job was completed all grass and landscaping were put back in place. Since the work was completed we have not had any other problems with water getting in our basement area.

We had some water leaking into our basement and had been told by another company that we needed to excavate on the outside to waterproof. I called E&M for a second estimate. Eddie was responsive, arrived on time, and was very helpful in explaining our issue. He suggested we try a DIY solution first (that will only cost us $10 in material) before going to the extreme of excavating. He provided a quote for the work, should we need it, which was significantly less than the other quote I received. We're new homeowners, and this was a situation where we easier could've been taken advantage of. Eddie is an honest business owner, and should the DIY solution not work, he'll be the one I call.

    ACM Basement Waterproofing
Job was done professionally, in a timely manner and the cleans up afterwards was terrific. Service to the system was performed in July 2015. Again the work was done very professionally and neatly.

John was excellent to deal with - he was courteous, professional and on-time. He did everything he said he would within the time frame he quoted. His team was great as well, very respectful and hard working. They did an amazing job - my basement walls look great and the windows are perfect, it made such a difference. I would recommend him a million times over, completely satisfied with their work - in fact I wish I had used them for the drainage system I installed earlier this year.

Lloyd the salesman was very knowledgable and professional.  They were prepared to install the system immediately and believe it or not we did not price them around.  The company was very attentive from setting up the appointment, following up a few days before and even the night before.  The arrived with a full crew at 8 am and worked non stop till 5 pm and completed the job in one day.  The were neat and clean and very easy to deal with. Perhaps I paid top dollar, but sometimes its worth thet extra expense.  I have no idea if the system works, we have to wait for a huge rainstorm!

    Superwall Basement Finishing Systems
There are 3 choices local homeowners have if they want to renovate their basement and avoid drywall downstairs, whether for concern of floods, humidity or mold. Allure offers an Owens Corning product which is not water proof, and after a flood will need to be replaced. Complete Basement Systems and Superwalls offer a rigid foam product that can sit in standing water and resist damage.
I immediately removed Allure from the process since the product would still need replacement if any flooding ever does occur again. I received quotes from both other firms. First, why I didn't pick Complete Basement Systems. They insist that I sign a contract and send them a 1/3 deposit before they will commit to a start date. According to Nassau Office of Consumer Affairs a home improvement contract must have a start date and a completion date. When I asked the owners again to work with me to honestly insert such a date he refused.
Superwalls came in around the same price point (although battery backup sump pump was new to them). The local installer reviewed the project and actually thought of a better layout than we initially designed. When they said they would start the following Thursday, sure enough they actually showed up! The project was done in one week, and the punch list was completed by the middle of the following week. Anything I asked to be adjusted or corrected was done. When I mentioned I was installing a TV or a closet system, they immediately placed added supports in the walls for me.
What impressed me about the crew? Very nice guys and they made an effort to really clean up every day. The contractor even dropped off a bottle of wine to say thank you for the completed project.
I have already had a neighbor, doing a traditional drywall basement, stop by to be chocked how quickly my project was finished (they are over a month already into their project).
I am very satisfied with Matt, Steve and the entire team.

    Boccia Inc
We've been in our house for almost three years now, and were noticing that after heavy rains the carpet in our basement would become saturated in certain spots. We wanted to take care of this problem so that we could remodel the basement. Boccia came recommended from a friend who used them in the past.
Richard from Boccia came out for the estimate - he explained to me Boccia's basement waterproofing system and that the best way to waterproof our basement would be a french drain system with two sump pumps. He was on-time, courteous and professional.
Once the job was scheduled, Boccia workers showed up on time and confirmed with me the plans I had originally agreed to with Richard. Adam the project manager showed up more than once to ensure that the project was running smoothly.
The entire project took about a week, which was the estimated time of completion.
Although other estimates came in cheaper than Boccia's, I am very happy I chose them b/c they performed quality work and were professional. I would recommend them to anyone needing their basement waterproofed.

    A.M. Shield Waterproofing Corp
My basement was flooded with over 2 feet of water in the rains last April. A&M gave me an estimate which was on the high side (@$8,000 for waterproofing). I went with them because of their guarantees for their work and their reputation and references. The cost escalated when they discovered mold in the walls and had to basically gut the finished part of my basement. They were extremely professional and reliable. The basement is bone dry and no problems have recurred. They also added a water diversion to the outside foundation. I am certain they are not the cheapest service in the area by a long shot, but you get high quality work.

    Long Island Waterproofing
The day after we closed on our house, the entire basement was covered in 6 inches of water. Part of the floor was plywood over dirt, painted to look like concrete. My mom found Long Island Waterproofing for us and they were the most competitive bid. They were professional, efficient and guaranteed the work. Six months after moving in, we had water in our basement. They came immediately and did quite a bit of detective work before determining that the underground pipe (which was original to the house) which was used to pump the water out had collapsed. They corrected the problem quickly for only $1200 (cost of materials). Our basement has been bone dry ever since....and we live on the water. Great company.

    Long Island Waterproofing
They have terrible customer service, and they were just really horrible to work with. I think they are money hungry and felt that they're own estimate wasn't expensive enough so they decided they didn't want to work with us. They didn't have the decency to even tell us this. They just ignored us and ignored our calls. Beyond that, the few times that we were able to get into contact with them and set up an appointment they wouldn't show up.
