    BUDGET BLINDS
I used them twice. Both time went great. Its affordable and the blinds are very high quality. Paul will help you with options and colors. One home we did all wood, and it looked amazing. The second house was just done around Christmas time and we did different styles. They all look and work great. The installer was on time, fast and he did a great job! He even cleaned up all of his mess, which most contractors forget those small details... I appreciate how awesome they are!!

    CREATIVE HANDS
Went great. I have an older colonial period home with characteristic window sills. The window depth is very narrow which limited my options for window treatments to what I thought were cheap mini blinds. A big box store representative came for a consultation and told me the only choice for shutters would be over the frame which would cover the window sills that I wanted to preserve. The folks from Creative Hands came up with a perfect solution that allowed me to get inside the frame shutters while still keeping the colonial look of the sills! They look great!

    BUDGET BLINDS
Everything went according to plan -- with the exception of the and quot;Enlightened Styleand quot; and quot;Single Cell Shades - we had these put in the master bedroom, guest room, and the kids rooms. When raising and lowering the blinds at least several times per week, there is an odd sound that the cords make. This originally prompted a question of Paul after installation concerning the durability. Something along the lines of and quot;is that sound normaland quot; which we were assured at the time it was. Fast forward to this weekend -- one of the units in my daughters room has ceased functioning. It will and quot;closeand quot; by which I mean show the window and allow light in about 60% of the way. The shade remains and quot;downand quot; about 40% and no amount of pulling and pushing to and quot;resetand quot; the roller housed in the top of the shade will allow it to reset itself. These shades ran about $159 per unit.

    Shades at BB's website: http://www.budgetblinds.com/brands/enlightened-style-window-coverings/
I believe this is the type of shade from the MFR website: http://www.enlightenedstyle.com/es-products/honeycomb-shades-details

The MFR supposedly has a committment to satisfaction, which I will say at this point is severely reduced: http://www.enlightenedstyle.com/

9/24/14 Update - 4 business days have passed since we reached out to Paul, and our messages have so far gone UNRETURNED. It is a cell phone and one of the times I heard the telltale beeps letting me know he was on the other line. I don't blame him for not taking my call immediately, but please return the message! Somewhat resigned to disappointment at this point. I will keep checking back here, if for no other reason than to advise and update. I have scaled back both responsiveness and professionalism from B to C.

I gave them half of the purchase down, and they still haven't been delivered.  It has now been 9 weeks later and I still have not received them.  I am very upset because they outsourced them instead of doing them in the place of business.

    On Pins And Needles
Terri is wonderful. She visited my house several times to help me pick out the fabric and design, and in the end created exactly what I want for the 14 windows (various sizes and shapes) of my sun room. Her price is very reasonable too. I have no complaints through and through.

    DeRisio Construction Inc
We were impressed with the quality of work Nick and his team produced in early, smaller projects and trusted him to do a major renovation with us last year. From the start, Nick worked with us to understand what we wanted done and provided ideas and advice on how best to get the results we wanted. He and his team were knowledgeable, responsive, respectful and courteous. His price was "final" and he didn't nickel and dime us along the way. The work was done in a logical manner (since they were working in multiple areas of the house) as to minimize disruption as much as possible. He worked with us as questions arose and kept us updated on next steps. His attention to detail and commitment to quality is evident in the results of his work. We are very happy with the end product and will continue to go to DeRisio with future home improvement needs. In the rare case where follow up to the work was needed, Nick stood behind his work with no hesitation. We highly recommend Nick and his team.

    Five Star Improvements
The service was okay.  They came promptly.  They were fairly prompt.  Some of the windows they did, still seemed a little drafty to me.  They only did the work on the outside and no sealing in the inside.  If they would have done what they said they would do, the price would have been fine.

    ROSS INTERIORS
They were fabulous. Their work is phenomenal. It was very nice and very high quality. I trust them. They're very trustworthy and honest. His wife does the draperies and it was beautiful. When I went to the store, the people there couldn't have been more helpful and they were falling over themselves helping me so it was an experience I'm not used to.

    SelectBlinds.com
SelectBlinds.com is an online retailer and nobody came out to my house. The website is really well designed. It allows you to go through different types of blinds and shades and shop by features that you're looking for which is really helpful. I initially wanted to take a look at what the blinds actually looked like, so you can pick and they ship samples of those blinds to you so that way you can actually look and touch and feel and that's at no cost as well. I never interacted with them by talking to them. Everything was through their website and I never had the need. It was clean communication in that when I placed the order I got a confirmation and when they shipped it out I got a confirmation with a tracking number and everything. It was pretty good. The interaction is actually complete, so I picked them out, I ordered them, and they shipped them. I got them and I installed them and everything. All the parts were there and all the instructions were there. They're custom in a sense, so they're based on the dimensions that you provide of the window width and height you want. I think the price was very reasonable and very competitive compared to a brick store. I did ask for the samples to be sent and they were pretty quick and I think they arrived like within a week or something like that. They were pretty accurate with their estimates. In terms of how everything was packaged when I got the samples it was a nice letter explaining everything and it was all very tidy and very well presented.

    J C PENNEY CO INC
AFTER WAITING 6 WEEKS FOR THE SHADES. I NOTICED THAT 3 OF THE 7 SHADES HAD TEARS, ONE PULL CORD WAS HALF THE SIZE OF THE OTHERS (TOO SHORT)AND WHEN THE INSTALLER DEMOSTRATED HOW TP PULL THE SHADES UP & DOWN THE CORD BROKE! AFTER WAITING ANOTHER 6 WEEKS FOR THE 3 REPLACEMENT SHADES,ONE OF THEM HAD A TEAR!! I CALLED THE DECORATOR AT PENNEY'S AND ASKED FOR A REDUCTION IN PRICE, SHE STATED THAT SHE COULD NOT REDUCE THE PRICE. I'M NOW WAITING 6 MORE WEEKS FOR ANOTHER REPLACEMENT SHADE. TO SAY I'M NOT HAPPY WITH PENNEY'S IS A UNDERSTATEMENT. GAIL H.= ROCHESTER, NY
