Snow Removal reviews in Rochester

responded very fast and had relatively new truck and plow, but hurried through the job, hit a big boulder in my garden and almost damaged his plow even though a "marker" was there...and did an okay job, I had to ask him to plow some spots he missed, and then I got the bill for $200!! my annual contract is $450 to plow it, so to me that was an absurd price

    12 Corners Lawn and Landscape
12 corners was not the least expensive but came hiighly recommended. They typically showed up on time (early a.m.) to plow and the plow job was fair. They often went onto the lawn and occasionally overloaded the sidewalk. My biggest concerns were: 1) they did not plow the full width of the entry; 2) never returned to do driveway apron cleanups after street plows passed --as required by their own contract-- which completely blocked my driveway access requiring me to do extensive and laborious hand shoveling; 3) did not repair major lawn damage in the spring; 4) the owner, Greg, did not reurn my phone calls after the season was over even after I'd paid all my bills without complaint.

East Side Tree, Yard, and Home Services
Snow was removed for the most part without incident and in a timely manner. I was happy enough with the service as long as he offered a unlimited trips option. However, last winter he offered only 15 or 10 trip options. I signed up for the 15 trip option even though it was more expensive than comparable plans available elsewhere. However, at the end of the season he then came back with a bill for another $120. for additional visits. This made his service really costly relative to other plans.

    Greentree Lawn & Landscape
Snow plowing has been absolutely horrible! We have had to contact him repeatedly to get the plowing done. He does not come per the conditions of his contract. After a significant snowfall on January 13th, we did not get plowed until almost noon. All of our neighbors who have plowing contracts were plowed out by 7:00 am. The person he sent to finally do the plowing, after three angry phone calls, plowed right over the stakes we had out to protect our walkway to our front door and plowed VERY far into the grass in our neighbor's yard. He was apparently someone Jason called to cover for him and was angry because he had had to do all of his own contracts and then do all of Jason's which is why we were so late. Greentree Landscaping is absolutely not dependable, even for long standing customers. We will certainly not be customers any loner!!

Callahans Lawn Care & Property Maintenance Inc
I have used this company in the past with reasonable satisfaction. This year we have had 3 measurable snowfalls so far. The first 2 I needed to call for service hours after what anyone would have qualified as a reasonable expectation for the service to have been completed. On the second occasion, I left 2 voicemails and 2 texts with no reply (6 hours later they said they would be there soon "battleing holiday traffic" ... They showed up the following day with a "we blew a transmition" excuse. If they would have responded with that and their back up plan, I would have understood. Today is Christmas and we have been under a winter weather advisory with blowing, drifting snow. Most of my neighbors have been plowed and no Callahan's again. Really diappointed :-(

Brockman Tree & Lawn Care LLC
I had just moved into a new house late in the fall and hired Brockman without doing much research. Although they did a good job in snow removal,, there was, of course, not a lot of work to be done this past winter, except for the huge March snowstorm. The company does a very good job in keeping customers up to date by sending out "snow event" emails. I felt their price was high, and will likely do some shopping around for next season.

Not sure why I give giving this guy another chance. He had no people skills, is very rude. But I'm done with him now. Was on vacation for the month of March, got back April 2. Called April 3rd to tell him we needed repairs done to the lawn because of the plow. He said it's in the contract that we have to send in a request by April 1st. Not being home to notice the damage meant nothing to him. He said we should know what the contract says because we've been customers for years. Really? He was also rude to our elderly neighbor. Don't know what his problem is but he won't have the business from this neighborhood anymore. Maybe he just has so much work that he doesn't care.

    Harris Grounds Management inc.
I paid $216.00. He never did any plowing. When I contacted him, he said his equipment was stolen and he would refund the money. I never received a check, so followed up (via text). He responded that he would send the check right away. I did not receive it. I followed up again and he said he would send it on Thursday. I did not receive a service I paid for. This was a scam. I also reported this to the Better Business Bureau.

    Seasonal Landscaping & Nursery Inc
This company is the most reliable company I have dealt with for snow plowing in the 20 years I have been at this address. They are a little pricey for this area, but the reliability is worth a premium to me.

Callahans Lawn Care & Property Maintenance Inc
So far this season they came to plow each time it snowed as per contract. Marked the driveway and the odd step to my side door located in the driveway. When I was seeking service this year they were the first to respond and were helpful and polite. There cost was right on target with other companies in the area.
