    Jarvie Electric
Ian did an amazing job. We get so many comments about how great our lighting looks in the living room. He was very friendly, efficient, and professional. I would recommend him to anyone looking for an electrician.

We never got past the $59 no-matter-what-happens-you-must-pay charge and the owner telling me "never to call again" because I asked the representative how much their labor rate is an hour and she could not say. I got an over-the-top VM back from the owner who claimed I gave his secretary a "hard time" and I should never call again. I called him and explained the situation and he gave me a long lecture about how he doesn't EVER quote a per-hour labor rate because some of his electricians work faster and some work slower. I explained that my car dealer, my plumber, my handyman and my contractor all could quote a per-hour rate, so why couldn't he? I asked him why he was going to charge me $59 for an estimate and not apply those monies to the job if I bought $400 worth of electrical services the same day. He could not give me a reasonable rationale.

    Nichols Electric & Plumbing
I live in a classic home, which I bought 2 years ago, that has an entirely new electrical system. Nichols came out last year but were not able to repair the electrical to the track lighting, but I paid the $95 charge as they at least tried. I tried to use them again this week to replace two existing sconces with two brand new ones but, that, too didn't work out for the following reasons: * The owner Steve and his president/son Steve told me the the job would cost $270. Not only is this more than what the sconces cost, the son told me the "job is really too small to handle." Furthermore, after much discussion, they revealed their hourly labor charge is $160.00 an hour (BTW, more than our local BMW dealer, my plumber and my computer repair company for my office). Two other electricians told me they would charge $150-$175 to do the work. The topic of their outstanding customer service was used to justify their price. I recounted that I had to track down my electrician from their company (waiting on hold 5 minutes for the agent to answer) and that he arrived at the last minute of the window they promised. I reminded them that I had waited on hold as long once before this week, too. I told them I would give them a third sconce to put up (to make the job a worthwhile endeavor for them) it they could reduce the price by just 9% from $437 to $400. Both father and son refused to make any concession after spending 20 minutes on the phone on these two calls. BTW, this is the first complaint I have written after being on Angie's List for over 12 years. Just bear this in mind before you retain their services.

    D & K Handyman Service LLC
Dave did really good work, particularly with the drywall. He got back to me quickly, asked me questions when he needed to, and made three separate trips to get the work completed quickly. The reason for the B instead of an A is the cost (about $100 more than another estimate I got) and the fact that I he didn't have all the necessary tools to do the job (I had to cut wood for him to put behind the drywall and we needed to use my cordless drill to hang the medicine cabinet together). All that said, he was friendly, professional and did good work, so I would hire him again.

    ELLENWOOD ELECTRIC
Mark Ellenwood and his employees were professional, prompt, neat and did a great job. The equipment that was recommended is perfect for our dark house on a very dark street. They were also able to repair our outdoor ceiling fan and light which were not working. Mark suggested products that would last a long time and are an assess to the safety and beauty of our home. We couldn't be happier.

Beautiful work and great attention to detail. Responsive and provided good communication. It was a big project and the usual delays and unanticipated changes took place. Everything was replaced from ceiling to floor. All new counter tops, appliances, walls, flooring, lighting etc. Tony and his team were very helpful and professional. I would definitely hire them again!

    Mike Williams Electric
Mike and his son was reasonable, up front about everything, dependable and very quick. Even when RG&E caused a delay he worked with us and made sure we knew exactly what was happening. We would/will hire him again in a heartbeat if we ever need electrical work done again. P.S. He even fixed a few issues he found during the

Four Points Remodeling & Design Center
Missie and Jim were wonderful to work with! I was very particular about what I wanted and they pleasantly and professionally were able to come up with solutions to accommodate my requests. Sean and Eric were here everyday on time and were very easy to communicate with. I have had several other improvements made to the house in the last few years and this was the first time I didnt feel anxiety about the quality of the work and the timeliness of its completion. They were actually done with the first stage several days earlier than they had planned. I am so happy with the functionality and beauty of my new kitchen. I would highly recommend them!

Four Points Remodeling & Design Center
I needed two floors replaced and a complete kitchen makeover. Jim and Missy put me at ease from the beginning of this project. The showroom made selecting new cabinetry, countertop, flooring, and hardware a breeze with no running around trying to make my selections. Everything went smoothly. The only minor snag was due to my decision to change the backsplash tile, and I'm so glad I did, because I absolutely love the backsplash! And my beautiful Cambria quartz countertop! Questions and concerns were addressed promptly and courtesously. Add-ons along the way were worked in (widening of a doorway, adding a couple new doors) without a problem. I LOVE my new kitchen and floors. Every person, from the front desk to the guys that did the work, represented Four Points with courtesy and professionalism. Missy and Jim are wonderful and very easy to work with.

    McKenna's Kitchen & Baths
The time estimate to complete was on target which was important because it was being done between Thanksgiving and Christmas. A complete demolition of a 1930s bathroom was completed which was labor intensive and very dirty. But the house was. left clean nightly. The contractor completing the job took pride in what he was doing and worked as if he was completing his next "masterpiece." When my vanity came in and was oversized for the space, a correction was made without question (or cost).
