Excellent! I wish I had found him earlier at the beginning of my project. There are so many incompetent contractors in the NY area that state they have crew and a history of happy clients that when I was working with them they had completely mis-represented their capabilities. Peter is a breath of fresh air! He is completely professional, competent and priced right!

    Nunez Construction and Painting
Work started on July 25th and ended on August 25th, it still seems impossible that the crew were able to preform this miracle in such a short time. I had a 6 room apartment totally overhauled, bathroom and kitchen demolished and the results, breathtaking!!! Quartz countertops and backsplash, porcelain tile on bathroom walls and bathroom and kitchen floors. They removed wallpaper from 5 rooms, then sanded and primed the walls to perfection before painting them. They built closets, carpeting was removed from 5 rooms and floors were sanded and polyurethaned, I never believed they would look this good, so glad to say I was totally wrong, they are amazing! I had a project manager named Erick, he and his crew were the most wonderful men and worked 10 hour days, always showed up on time and never once said something I wanted was impossible, just the opposite, I got a few of my favorite things at Erick's suggestion. They cleaned up so well, that there was literally nothing for me to do at the end of the day and when the work was done the apartment was spotless. Efren Nunez was ALWAYS available via phone, e-mail and text and he showed up on site often to make sure that everything was going well. I met his son and daughter, who work for him and it is obvious that they take great pride in their company. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND NUNEZ CONSTRUCTION, THEY WILL NOT DISAPPOINT!!

Weber Carpentry & Home Improvement Corp
Mr. Weber was always punctual, even given bad weather.  He assisted with material choices and adjustments so we could keep the project within budget but still achieve the quality and look we set out to obtain.  The crew was neat and clean and every day they cleaned up the work area which was wonderful because it kept the rest of my house clean.  We hit a snag with some bad wood inside the wall and unexpected pipes but creative thinking proved a quick solution and workaround, and I wasn't hit up for ridiculous extra charges.  I've used this company in the past and will certainly continue to use them in the future.  It's nice to know that the quality and craftsmanship has only improved with time.

We first worked with Don Weber in 1995 when we remodeled the first floor of a two family home. Since our experience was so positive at the time, we had no thought of going anywhere else this time. We did a walk through of what we wanted and requested a specific time frame. Within a week Don emailed a work list and estimation of costs. We negotiated a few items and signed the contract. As before, Don's team were professionals and provided high quality work. Whenever we wanted to make a change to the original plans (which does happen with major remodels) Don would always discuss with us the cost of the change in both time and money. If the change was insignificant to the overall project, his team would just handle it.
We will continue to use Weber Carpentry for any remodel or carpentry work we have going forward. We have already recommended him to several of our neighbors.

As for the scope of work I needed/Had done was was extensive as follows - 1-Remove old crown and base board moldings as well as the out dated moldings on the walls, replace base and crown. 2-replace Porcelain tiles throughout the house and replace with wood (Engineered) Floors. 3- replace all tiles (Floor and Wall) from bathroom, and redo with new tiles and new design pattern. 4- install my new Kitchen including Back splash, in addition I used their counter top manufacturer (great job) 5- paint the Refinished walls throughout, I was actually going to do the painting with some buddies, but I figured being that the job and gone effortlessly seem less as that point I had them do it as well, as I took a mini vaca I just kept in close contact with their management team. All in all these guys did a great job for me and I am most certainly pleased with the final results of their work ethic. I would use the most again if needed as well as recommending them. They were on target through the process which is very important to me when it comes to these types of projects.

    Euro Home
We are very satisfied.  He is a punctual and neat worker, carefully protecting the floor and our hall.  He is very easy to communicate with, explaining exacting what he is doing.  We believe he gave us a break on the price because he is in the neighborhood and had the time available. The finished job looks excellent and we will not hesitate to use him again or recommend him to anyone.

    Picasso Expert Renovations
I got another estimate. They were willing to sand down 10 layers of paint on the doorframes. I wanted the original wood to be sanded down and restained. They were willing to do it and they did it with such care and kid gloves. They cleaned everything. They called everyday to let me know what was going on. They were very accommodating. It was such a nice crew. The price was pretty high but it was worth it. They did it in the time frame that I needed them to do it. In fact they did a little overtime so they could finish it even sooner. I was trying to get it done before my mother came back from vacation. I own the house but my mother lives there. He did not go one dollar over the estimated price. George helped me with the color selection. He did crown molding and refinished the door frames. He helped me get doors. There was a lot of home improvement done. He painted walls and ceilings in the kitchen. He took down fans and put up lights. It changed the interior of the house so much. He was worth every penny. It is a small house but so very pretty. My mother was really happy when she walked in. I had had the basement finished and they used drywall to cover the pipes. The gas company told me I could be fined because it could catch on fire so I told George and he came back and made the holes bigger and didn't complain or charge me. He said if there were any problems to call him and he would fix it. It is a good company. He replastered, spackled because there were a lot of cracks. I knew it would cost a lot to sand down the paint on the doorframes and it was worth it. It took his crew about a week just to do the doorframes. I had gotten two other estimates but they wouldn't do the doorframes the way I wanted them. I could have gotten it $6,000 cheaper and it would have looked good but not the way I wanted. I was very happy.

    Major Homes Corp
We picked Major Homes for one reason only - the staggering number of great reviews. We felt it was the only criteria to rely on. We were totally satisfied and impressed with not only the quality of work and materials, but by the honesty, integrity, and right-on estimates of both cost and start/completion dates. They have been in business since 1919, and we can see why. In an age of hype, shoddy workmanship, shoddy materials, false estimates, broken promises, and missed deadlines.....these folks stand head and shoulders above what has become the norm. We had 2 complete bathrooms done, and front and back doors replaced. Work started on the date promised. The demolition crew did a great job of protecting the furniture and vacuumed and swept up completely. Sal and his plumbing crew, Mike and his electricians, and Vito, Anthony & Alex - the carpenters and tile setters all worked around each other like a well-oiled machine. No matter how good individual craftsmen are, it takes a "Project Manager" to coordinate the work, and Budd was our manager. He did the original project outlines with us, arranged delivery of all goods and services, and was here personally at every new stage of work. When he wasn't actually here, he was in constant touch with us and the workmen, making sure everyone had everything needed and everything was satisfactory. Everyone cleaned up at the end of each day, and showed us what had been done, and what to expect the next day. After the baths were completed, Paul ( the Project Manager for the door work ) sent Bill and Nelson over and they completed the front and back door replacements. The back doorway needed extensive rebuilding of the house framing, and this was all done in a single day.....in 100 degree heat, no less !!! We are sorry, but we did not get the names of the 2 men who did a great job replacing the outside upstairs bathroom vent - an awkward place to get at requiring some tricky ladder-work . We dealt with Mitch Kersch, President of Major Homes, and his son Jason - 3rd and 4th generations of this family business of over 90 years. We would not hesitate to use them again, and would highly recommend them to all. Not only was the work great and the price reasonable, but the complete absence of stress, and the feeling of confidence we enjoyed throughout was something we couldn't put a price on. We have no doubt Major Homes will be around for another 91 years. Our thanks to all of you.

    Mr. Handyman of NE Queens
As a repeat customer, I knew that Mr. Handyman could handle all the small tasks that were needed to get my rental unit ready for market. As usual, I requested George who's performed all the other work at my house. But this time, a last minute cancellation enabled Larry (manager) to send Both George and Marco for the first day. This worked out really well. As usual, these guys wasted no time, and got right to work. George and Marco working together is kind of like having Batman and Superman on your side. Marco installed two new light fixtures so we could see and replaced some old paint covered sockets with new ones. Then he installed and adjusted a new bathroom door. Somehow made it fit into the uneven doorframe of my 100 yr old house. He took special care to caulk around the edge of the new doorstop he installed so that no light came through. George installed double french doors and a new threshold at the entrance to the living room. Both of them worked on finished the framing, shelving and trim of a large closet which previous contractors left unfinished. This wasn't easy, because the back wall of the closet tapers, and the shelf had to be specially cut. George made the shelf fit perfectly. On the second day, George returned and finished up the rest of the work including framing up a doorway to seperate two rooms, changing and old 220 socket to 110 for a new air conditioner, fixing the locksets of several doors which did not close, attaching the power cord to the oven, caulking the bathtub, and anchoring some shelving to a brick wall in my office room. Additionally, he devised a way to mend a broken floorboard that professional floor refinishers previously told me they couldn't do anything with. It's solid as a rock now. As usual, George showed great problem solving skills. Larry also dropped by to see how the work was going. It was nice to meet him (we'd spoken many times) and receive the personal attention. One thing that really helps is if you have all the materials on site ahead of time. These guys work very efficiently and can get a ton of work done for you if they've got everything they need. Of course they bring nails and screws and other basic stuff. If you're not sure what you need, talk to Larry, the manager. He's familiar with the work and can tell you what to get. This job went very, very well and once again I'm a satisfied customer. Both George and Marco do excellent work.

    Major Homes Corp
I recently had Major Homes renovate a kitchen and bathroom and build a deck and security door in the back of the house. They had previously replaced my windows and done a good job, so when I needed someone to get this work done, I called them. Major Homes is not a cheap contractor, but I've learned that when it comes to construction, you really do get what you pay for. These guys mean business and they don't mess around. They want your house done as much as you do and believe me, that's the attitude you want from a contractor. Major Homes was able to start the job about two weeks after we signed the contract. My construction manager was a guy named Joe Matelsky. Joe is a friendly and professional guy who manages his crews well. The kitchen, bath and deck were all being worked on at the same time and they finished the bulk of the work within three weeks or so. My job was relatively small compared to most ot the work MH does, but the company and Joe in particular always treated it like a priority. He did everything he could to move the job along while also being considerate of my schedule. A few times he even sent some guys on the weekends, but was careful to check with me beforehand. I had to order some additional cabinets for the kitchen and a few weeks went by before they arrived. When they arrived, I called Joe and he had a guy there the next day to install them. This was impressive. The quality of the work was excellent. It seems to me that MH's workers are mostly specialists who are skilled at doing specific things. One guy was a tile specialist and another guy did wall finishing, etc, and licensed electricians were brought in for all the electrical work. The end result is a much higher quality job than most contractors can offer. The tile work is perfect, the walls are smooth, and everything looks great. The deck is fantastic. I?m really glad I hired Major Homes.
