ANorb Miller General ContractorNorb Miller agreed to replace the roof. He gave an estimate of $15,750 to complete the roofing job. The roofing supplies arrived a couple of days after Mr. Miller accepted the job in June 2011. The roofing crew started work two weeks later. The crew removed the old shingles and cleaned up the yard daily. They trimmed trees and cut down a small tree that was interfering with their progress. We contacted Mr. Miller to add a project. The steps and boarded walkway off of the deck needed repairing or replacing. He gave an estimate of $2,350 to replace the steps and walkway. The extra project was completed in just a couple of days and looks wonderful! Mr. Miller then contacted us saying that there were some addition charges, $300 for a new gutter and tree trimming, $500 for lumber supplies and pointing of the chimney. The roofing crew finished up on August 11,2011. The new roof looks fabulous and Mr. Miller picked the perfect shingles to match our Victorian Era home. This was a job well done! Just a side note, as I was leaving for work one morning, one of the roofing crew was bringing in my trash bins that had just be emptied by the disposal company. That's service!- Viktoria S.

AEdified ServicesEd not only responded promptly to my request, he went right to the site and when we agreed on a (reasonable) price, he set to work immediately. He even went above and beyond by sending before-and-after images, moving trash cans to their proper place when he wasn't expected to, removing the debris from the premises, and stacking the debris for waste pickup. My house had 39 windows, some quite large, and the entire cleaning process was completed in less than 2 hours. The work was completed with a minimum of disruption to my home. AEarley ContractingMark and his crew were great to work with. They took off the screens on my gutters, cleaned the gutters out and put the screens back on. They also put back two pieces of screen that had blown off and cleaned debris and sticks off my roof. They raked up the mess that came out of the gutters. All this only cost me $20! Then I had them trim a large maple tree whose branches were hanging over my roof. He took quite a bit off the tree and only charged me $50.00. I couldn't believe how low his prices were. They also did two roofs on my street and painted a house on a nearby street. Everyone on the job was very polite and referred to me as "Maam". I would use them again for any type of work.- Nancy P.

AWe first met the folks from Marshall Exteriors at the Syracuse Home Show in March 2019. We spoke with Travis to explain our needs. The excitement he showed regarding our project matched our own excitement. Of course you expect Sales people to do their pitch to draw you in, but let me say that excitement Travis had lasted throughout every single meeting and conversation we had for the length of our project. He was out at our house taking pictures and talking to us more the very same day that we met him at the show and within a week he was back with his proposal. I was stunned by his speed and responsiveness. In comparison, another vendor we met at the Home Show came out to look at the house a few days later and we never heard from him again. After all the contracts were signed and we were on the schedule, it was a few short months before our project began. We were having almost all the windows in our house torn out and replaced with significantly larger windows. We went from small sliders to larger double hung windows. We also had a large roof built over our front porch, and the house sided with vinyl siding. The crews that worked on our house were great! I wish I could remember everyone's names to give them proper credit, but they all were extremely professional and friendly. They were working day in and day out through some pretty nasty weather. When other companies would have taken a "rain day", the Marshall crew was there. I was amazed at the speed at which they were able to complete the entire project. They also did a great job in cleanup. There were no piles of junk left for me to deal with when the project was complete. While that seams like something that all companies should do, I know for a fact that is not the case. We have been left big messes in the past. So for me this was huge. Last summer we needed a window replaced (one we hadn't done previously) and my first thought was to call Travis at Marshall. He came out to give us an estimate with that same enthusiasm as he had for our first project, even though replacing one window isn't nearly as exciting of a project. Since this was a replacement window, vs. new contraction, a majority of the work was done from the inside. The 2 employees who did the work were amazing! I believe Jordan was one of them. The window looks great and there wasn't a speck of dirt in the room from the work they did. This second project (single window replacement) was done in the midst of the COVID pandemic, and not once did I feel uncomfortable having either Travis or the crew in my house. We could not be happier with Marshall Exteriors and the work they did on our home. It looks like a brand new place and we absolutely love it. We are typically DIYers, but for any construction project beyond our skill, Marshall is our contractor of choice. I highly recommend Marshall Exteriors to anyone looking to do a home improvement project.

ASuperior Exteriors saved my front porch. My house came with a front porch addition that had started to sag away from the house. I asked Kim if it could be saved. Her crew dug out all of the supports, replaced them and shored up the porch against the house again. Superior also replaced my roof. It required a complete tear off with 3 layers of shingles on it. I was happy with the price for the amount of work involved. Plus pleasantly surprised at how well the crew cleaned up after they where done. I originally contacted Superior because it is a woman owned business. I was pleasantly surprised in her competitive pricing backed up by excellent work. Whenever I need work done to my house inside or out Superior is who I call.

FThe product they offer was good. When they give you their sales pitch, they offer a small discount if you sign up with them immediately. When I declined the offer to get more estimates, the salesperson was very rude to me. He tried to tell me that if I didn't want to pay that much, I could go to Home Depot and buy gutters and put them up myself. As far as the salesperson's attitude went, I would give them an F. The product is good but the salesperson lost my business because he was rude.

FPlease understand this is a review of Fitch's dealings with me. Others hopefully have had a better experience. I suspect due to the relatively low price of my project I fall at the low end of their priority list. My opinion is if there were another zero in the cost of my project I would not have had the experience I did. In short, on a 5 point scale with 5 being the best, I would rate my experience as follows: COMMUNICATION: 1 SERVICE: 1 QUALITY OF WORK: 3 QUALITY OF PRODUCT: 1 OVERALL EXPERIENCE: 2 I have tried to be patient and understanding. However, a product I was promised in late July 2019 was not installed until September 2019. I was able to use the product about 6 weeks before closing that home. Upon opening my home in mid May 2020, I was able to use it as designed for another 6 weeks or so. By manually controlling the screen position with the remote, I got another month or so. It took over a month (from 6/23 until 7/27) to have a tech come out. Tech attempts to fix the screen resulted in what was believed to be a burned out motor and the screen has since been inoperable. I no longer get any response to my emails. I essentially have a $4,700 hanging screen on my front porch, held in place by some of my own wood clamps. At this point, the company has a LOT of work to do to not only fix/replace the screen but to regain my trust. If I read it correctly, the warranty will run out in a few weeks. I would hate to think I would lose out on having a defective product addressed because of a history of lack of action by Fitch. No matter what, this is approaching the end of a second summer I have been unable to use the screen. UPDATE: I am so disgusted with the office support I will be contacting an attorney to determine if I can take legal action! In short, I explained the residence in which the screen was installed was seasonal. They sent a technician out once a month to attempt to fix the screen. The first time the tech burned out the motor. The second time they sent some poor tech with no training/experience to attempt a fix. He found a problem with the frame. Long story short over the course of 3½ months they were unable to fix the problem. Now I am told they need to contact the manufacturer for MORE replacement parts (motor, end support bracket and now screen channels). They are essentially telling me sorry you haven't been able to use this screen this summer, but it is under warranty and the manufacturer has to send replacement parts and walk a tech through the install process. In MAY 2021!!!! They are telling me it isn't their problem but the manufacturer. However, they sold me the screen, took my payments and have sent techs to fix the problem. I am hoping for good news from my attorney as this has reached the point I want them to take the screen away and refund my money.
