    The salesman was extremly pushy and rude. Tole me in the same sentence that his offer was the best he could do but if I went back inside he'd see what he could do. Tried to give me thousands less for my trade-in than it was actually worth and had some fake looking KBB printout to back up the offer. However when I plugged the information into KBB and NADA, it said the car was worth thousands, THOUSANDS more for trade! Nonetheless, went elsewhere and received a much better deal.

    I always have great interactions with the folks that work in service. They have serviced my car multiple times even though I haven't had an appointment & they are gracious about it. I even convinced a good friend to try D'ella service after he had several less than pleasant experiences with 2 other Honda dealerships in the immediate Capital District area. He too was pleased which is a impressive because he believes "all dealerships are out to manipulate & cheat people". He has returned to D'ella for service more than once as well!

    Capitol Mechanics were very professional.  They called me before each step in the process to make sure I was comfortable with them to proceed, detailing work to be done and approximate cost.  Work was performed in a timely manner and communication was very good.  The staff is friendly.  Great place to take foreign cars.  I recommend Capital Mechanics.

    I brought my car to have an electronic sensor light checked which is related to the traction control system in the car. The young man at the service desk reached over the other service counter person to grab a pamphlet regarding a "Lifetime BG Protection Plan" for the transmission. I asked twice for an explanation & did not get a satisfactory answer so I hastily told him I'd buy it. Once I was in the courtsey vehicle being driven to work, I decided it was a service I really did not need or want. I called the service desk as soon as I arrived at work (within 10 minutes of leaving the dealership) & told the young man at the service counter that I had changed my mind & did not want the transmission fluid changed. He asked me to hold so that he could check to see if work had been started on my car. When he came back to the phone, indeed service had been started, so I had no choice. I was quite angry & the young man hung up on me. When he called to tell me the car was ready to be picked up, I was still angry, so he put me through to the service manager. When I arrived to retrieve my car, I met with the service manager who able to articulate what had been done to the transmission on my car. I definitely would have opted not to have the work done if the young man at the service desk had been able to better explain what the service would entail. The demeanor of the service manager was somewhat condescending..."I will fire him ( the young man that had waited on me) right now if you feel you were not treated properly"; "you have been very lucky not to ever have trouble with a transmission on any car that you've owned" (I have been driving for 40 years)...I turned wretches here for a number of years before I took this position & I seen a lot of people spend a lot more than $225.00 for transmission repair." 
    I left that place feeling like the proverbial woman that was taken advantage of because I was not given adequate facts to make an informed decision . Furhtermore I do not believe the work had progressed to the point were it couldn't have been stopped when I called them back within 10 minutes after leaving the car for service.
    The original problem was never addressed. I found out from another Chevrolet dealer that the indicator light that was on, is supposed to be on. The car didn't need any service! The other dealership treated me very respectfully.

    Everything was great. I have used Chris Mckinney's shop for about 3 years now. That is roughly when he first opened up his own shop....it could be a bit longer. He is retired from being a certified mechanic for a large, local and reputable car dealership.
    I was referred to him by a friend of mine, who's little brother is friends with the owner's son. I tried him out at first for a problem with my power window. Everything went very well and the price was right on.
    I had called around (since I didn't know Chris at all at that time) to see how his prices would compare to other places. He was cheaper. He also suggested that I get a used part (instead of brand new) since my car was older and of course would be less money too. He could have just ordered a new part and made more money overall.....but, he didn't. His service was great and great communication (still no problems after he fixed the window about 3 years ago). The car was repaired/finished BEFORE the original promissed time.
    His hours of operation are very convenient. He has a key drop box so you can leave your car after hours. He's very easy going, confident and knowledgeable. He's honest and will explain things well. With repair issues, he will explain choices and will be honest if you can wait a bit longer until whatever work you may or may not need. One time I took my car there fearing some BIG BILL for a problem I was having with my power steering. Chris just put power steering fluid in and that solved the problem.......and he didn't charge me for adding the fluid and sent me on my way!! I don't know many places that do that anymore!!!!

    I have him do any and all servicing on my car now.....even just regular, scheduled maintenance. He does take credit cards and does NYS Inspections and has diagnostic machines. He works on all makes/models, foreign/domestic. One time while I was picking up my car and he was working on (what I think was) a Ford Model T.....or something very similar.

    He's the type of guy that if you explain a problem to him over the phone (and he feels it could be something dangerous or damaging to your car) he will tell you to bring it right over and he'll look at it.
    Over all a great experience/s. It really is a great feeling when you trust and feel confident that your not being and quot;taken for a ride.and quot; So, if your new car is out of warranty as mine was..... and you still want excellent service without the dealer price, I'd try his place out. I really don't think there is anything that Chris McKinney can't do, that a large, full service dealership could also do. Prices are obviously better since he doesn't have the massive overhead and other expenses.
    I personally (and highly) recommend this repair shop. It is pretty evident that Chris truly enjoys what he does and he really seems to enjoy helping people.

    Technician did a good job, promptly. The extra bonus for me was that he noticed that the cap which covers the place where you add oil to the engine was missing, and he found a used cap in the back room of the garage which he gave to me

    I made an appointment, the appointment was kept promptly, and he inspected the car and serviced it as promised.  He pointed out several items which would need attention in the near future, if not that day.  Nice waiting area, friendly manager who handled everything.

    I liked this service because they alerted me to an issue in my suspension, that was not dangerous, but needed attention eventually. They were not pushy about having to get the issue in my suspension fixed "that day". I like the no-pressure attitude. That is unusual in chain mechanic dealerships, in my experience. I have had one free tire rotation since I purchased the tires, and they are wearing well.

    Al scheduled my appointment quickly and at my convenience. He test drove the car promptly when I arrived. He explained the possible reasons for my problems noting that he would need to look behind the dashboard and possibly in the transimission itself for final diagnosis. He called later in the day (Fri) to let me know the problem and give me an estimate. Because a part had to be ordered, the work could not be completed until Mon. The work was completed on time and at the estimated price. He was friendly, polite and professional answering all of my quiestions.

    Better than I could imagine ... Jim researched Honda's Mobility Program and found that my left-footed gas pedal would be reimbursable by Honda ... SO I RECEIVED THE SERVICES AND NEW PEDAL FOR FREE ... WHEN I THOUGHT IT WOULD COST ME TONS OF MONEY!!!! PLUS I HAVE LESS PAIN NOW AS I DRIVE MY CAR - LESS PAIN IS HUGE FOR ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
