Worked with Jason Kersch who was very professional and very thorough both during the negotiations and follow through. The whole project was done on time and at the fair agreed price. The crew that did the work was very professional and hard working. The result was very good and I got many compliments for the work both from friends and neighbors. The quality of the workmanship and materials is very good. Would definitely recommend and use again.

It went great, we had a ton of projects needed to be done in order to get thing up to date in the house. they were able to tackle it all didn't have to hire a separate plumber and electrician. these guys are awesome at what they do. They can be late at times but they will at least let you know ahead of time.

As well as can be expected, my kitchen is beautiful my wife and I are extremely satisfied with their services. We had tons of electrical issues they were able to replace our outdated panel box and provide us with a new one. Best of all it is labelled and we know what is what. Very responsible group of men they show up on time or call and notified us of any changes.

I been back and forth over doing these renovations for some time but when a pipe busted in my ceiling I was left with no choice but to have it renovated. Prior to, my home was very drafty and winters felt as if we had no windows, naturally I assumed my problem was my windows. I called a few companies I was referred to by close friends and family that had work done previously, but to make a long story short I choice DCS because they have extensive knowledge of working with insurance and helped me with my claim, but also because they did something the other guys didn't. They explained everything that was wrong with my home prior to the water damage which was the actual cause of my original problem and told me exactly what needed to be done never withholding information. Very open and sincere guys.

The work started slow which made me nervous but before I can ask why or even stop by to see for myself I would be notified which was always a relief. My home today is now my family's place of choice to hangout! I would highly recommend these guys. Not only will you get great work but you can also expect to be educated in building science as they refer to it, lol.

My property was damaged in a fire... So we had to find a licensed company to use which was a problem, too many contractors claimed to be licensed but repeatedly failed to provided necessary documents, one after another! Running short of patience and increasingly getting more aggravated I decided to require licensing information upfront before discussing my project, the pool of potential contractors dwindled to less than a hand full. But, I used this firm because they are a true design and build firm. I didn't have to look for my own architect, plumber and/or electrician as some suggested. Because of the late start with the project we did have delays but they did an excellent job at keeping us in the loop! I seldomly  had to remind then about details that we had discuss. Though they were a little bit higher priced than other contractors I was just more comfortable using them. The end result was a stunning home just as I envisioned.

The work went very smoothly.  The president of the
company, Mitch Kersch stopped by  to get an idea of what we wanted to do.
After deciding on a style and color of the windows, a manager was sent to
measure.  Windows were delivered sooner than the 3 weeks we had expected.
Prior to the installation, the installers covered all the
floors and furniture and took great care when taking out the old windows and
bringing the new ones through the house.
They noticed that a few of the windows looked crooked and re-measured
    and re-checked with  levels several
times before realizing that the walls, not the windows were not straight.
They framed the windows so as to minimize the crooked walls and make
    everything look even.
I had asked that one of
the old stained glass windows be preserved for another use, which was done
meticulously.  (I had asked everyone who estimated this job to save the
window, Major Homes was the only firm that agreed to take the time and care to
    do it.)
    When the job was
finished, everything was cleaned up and all trash removed.
We were very please with the service and quality of the products and would use Major Homes again as well as recommend them to friends.

I was recommended to Major Homes by a good friend - I met with the owner , Mitch Kersh who was very punctual , professional and especially knowledgeable
We were looking to replace our slate roof at our house in Bayside, NY and we had done a lot of research on the type of roof we wanted.
Both my wife & I are fairly knowledgable about construction and had done our homework ahead of time
we had interviewed 4 different roofing contractors - Although Major homes was not the cheapest, he was in the middle but what really matters is the reliability and workmanship of the contractor you select.
My experience in construction has been that " CHEAP IS EXPENSIVE "
You cannot compromise on workmanship and knowledge when doing a major project like that on your home
They measured several times, prepped the area very well, performed the work relatively fast and cleaned up very well afterwards.
Actually they were so impressive that a neighbor of mine several house down from me hired them after watching the progression of my project .
I cannot say enough good things about this company and its owner , Mitch Kersch
I also hired them to replace my exterior steel security screen doors and gutters and leaders
So I give them a very high recommendation .  Again they are not the cheapest but not the most expensive - In life you get what you pay for so don't be fooled into saving a few dollars on the front end only to spend multiple amounts later on to undo bad work

2 weeks before this job Major installed all new replacement windows in my house so I was not surprised by the excellent job that Paul did in installing both of these doors.  He was at my home at exactly the expected time and was always courteous and professional.  My house is very old and has wide interior wood work which was replaced with wide so we only have to do a little touch-up paint.  The doors operate beautifully.  Couldn't be happier.

Major was the second estimate we got.  Jason came right at the scheduled time, which was the first good impression.  He spent more then an hour explaining exactly how the work would be done and showing us all of the features of the window that would be installed. They are made in America, which was something I wanted.  Because Jason was so detailed (not pushy), where the other contractor was not we chose Major even though the other estimate was lower.

The crew, Peter, Tony and Alfredo showed up on the appointed day and exactly on time.  They were extremely neat, covering the floors and furnishings in each room as they went and cleaning up each area when finished.  It was obvious that they knew exactly how to do the work, they were fast and professional.  They did the whole job without damaging any of the interior wood work, which was important to me.  They finished the main 18 windows on the first day and only had to return the following day to do the 3 basement windows (which they did in the rain).  Two days later Jason called me, while he was on vacation, to be sure I was pleased with the job.  Also I wrote check for $1000.00 too much, because the math on my copy of the contract was wrong, which I hadn't noticed, and the women in the office called immediately after receiving it to tell me she would be sending a refund that day.

We have a second contract to have an entry door and storm door install, which has not been done yet, but I expect I will have the same positive outcome.

I would recommend they to any of my friends and family.
