  • tech was fine and diagnosed problem. a week later still has not returned countless calls and still has not sent sears a status report needed in order to fix problem I left countless messages that go straight to voice mail . I spoke to David the one time someone answered and he advised that he would call me right back. Two days later and I still have not heard from any body. This has been going on for 8 days.

  • Angela and her team are great! They do what they say they are going to do when they say they are going to do it. The clean up everyday and never leave a mess which is great especially with all the work we had done. Installing a door required a lot of work including installing new drains around the stairs and installing a fence. After that the yard was cleaned up and smoothed out like they had never been there. They also did not require us to remove everything out of the basement, they moved it all to one area and then after they were done they cleaned off all of the pile of stuff of construction dust and put everything onto shelves again. They do a great job with carpentry finishes, painting and tile work and take pride in doing a good job. They are all so nice as well, they pet the dogs every time they walk through the room, the dogs love them! Angela was very responsive to our requests and dealt with a horrible permit process. They did a really great job, I highly recommend them!

  • They guys at Basic did a great job of explaining the various options in efficiency, comfort and price point. Once I made my decision they had the new equipment shipped and installed promptly. They hauled away all old equipment and ductwork and left little to clean up. The new system is outstanding - Efficient, quiet and works better than the previous system.

  • Have had my HVAC work done by my oil delivery folks for 13 years (Sclafani). They informed , at annual service, that boiler needed to be replaced. Found them rigid and not confidence inspiring in specking the job including telling me that permits for this work would cost between $600 and $1000. (Actual cost was $75) Refusing even a 5% holdback until after final building dep't inspection and sign off. Found All-Seasons on Home Advisor and Angie's list. Couldn't have been happier with the information they provided, answering my many questions and being responsive to my requests to bid the job , with competitive products to what I was considering from my oil services company. Eventually took their recommendations on product. Business transactions were simple including offering interest free financing. Installation was done professionally and exactly as they described. Just a real pleasure to work with and to start a new business relationship, since I now will be using them for any service needed.

  • Excellent. Talon came out the same day I called for service. The technician, Dave, was professional, courteous, and explained everything he was doing. He found all the problems, repaired them same day, and tested the system. We could not be more pleased with Talon Heating and Cooling.

  • This was a new house for us. We were "auditioning" different installers to see which we liked the best to provide on-going maintenance. we asked them to do a season start-up and also submit proposals for additional work. Their prices for the additional work were much higher than the other companies we spoke with and they found things that were wrong and needed to be redone that no one else found. I believe other reviewers had also found their prices to be high and that they recommended work that didn't need to be done. That might be a pattern.  On the other hand, they were punctual and courteous when in the house and even brought their own door mat to wipe their shoes on before they went in. Maybe just a gimmick to impress?

  • Bob and his crew are top notch. They do the job right and don't cut any corners. Price is fair and crew is professional. They are one of only propane company's around the does the whole job without subcontractors. The have their own machines and are one stop shop for all of your propane needs. they also install boilers, which i should have had them do as well! Give them a call you won't be disappointed.

  • I searched for a contractor that was experienced in High efficiency Modulating condensing boilers. I was set on a viessmann boiler and Perry claimed to be very experienced with the viessmann line. Don't be fooled by the Viessmann logo's on his trucks. The owner will sell you the job and his experience. After that he sends in a crew to install the system that doesn't  have much experience with these high end boilers, and you will never see the owner again. not even to collect the check or check the system when it was turned on for first time. So many basic mistakes were made on the install, No work permit filed with town before work was started, Vent pipe installed incorrectly, zone piping was done completely wrong. Pressure relief valve installed wrong, low water cut off installed wrong, the wrong circulator pump was used on radiant zone. I learned a hard and expensive lesson here. I have to bring in a true viessmann professional to no fix all of the mistakes that should have been done right the first time. I should have thrown the crew out the first day and started over, Don't trust anyone. If you see things going wrong don't let it go.

  • I first met Rich when my furnace was not working properly.The service company I was using told me they could not fix it, and that I needed a new furnace. Rich was suggested as an outside consultant, and soon had the furnace working smoothly.
    I hired Rich again later as a Chimney Sweep. Another Chimney Sweep firm had told me I needed to have my furnace chimney re-lined. Rich told me that was not true, and simply cleaned my two chimneys for a very reasonable fee.
    He is very competent, honest, and an all round nice guy. I have also since referred him to my neighbor who was also very satisfied with his services.

  • I do not recommend Burke, and here is why:
    I bought my house in April 2012. The former owner used Burke. We offerred to pay for heating the home while in closing so I ended up calling Burke - this is how they got their claws into me.
    Their sales person gave me a call. I explained that as a first time home buyer (who hadn't closed on the house yet) I was considering options.  We closed on the house in the last days of April 2012. As a good sales person, she was persistent, and sold me on a 6 month fixed price contract at $3.62 / gallon starting in May 2012.  I took it and was grateful to have one thing off the list.
    My first fuel delivery was May 14, 2012 - I purposely write them on my calendar so I can track my usage. And I thought nothing of it.  Then as September came I remembered that I should call the oil company. I got too it in early October. They informed me that I HAD a 6 month contract that expired in April.  I told them that wasn't my recollection. I tried explaining to them that having bought the house in April of 2012 and taken my first delivery in May 2012 it's not really possible for me to have had a contract expiring in April 2012.  Still I needed the oil so I purchased from them at about $3.82.  I informed them I was looking for a new oil company and that I was unhappy. I was pretty clear, I wanted to be on C.O.D. only - that I would call them if I wanted more fuel.  Some poor customer service reps called me two more times trying to 'resolve' my issue, to which I recounted the whole story and told them again - I'm looking elsewhere.
    Then, after spending a night away, on December 20, 2012 I come home to find a receipt for a fuel delivery.  I was flabbergasted. I'm not sure how my 3 conversations with them explaining how I didn't feel they honored their contracts and wanted no more fuel from them was ambiguous.  I called and asked the service rep, "Should I send them a check or file a police report?"
    I decided to pay for the fuel. I will use it, and I don't need a pyrrhic victory to crow about. I'm sure they have documentation that reflects their version.  Apparently, no one had taken me off auto despite my repeated instructions and I'm-going-elsewhere statements.  This seems to be the deal with Burke - oops, we're sorry we bled you a bit too much, here's your bill.
    Today I hired a new fuel company and called Burke to emphatically cancel.  I don't usually have to call companies and tell them in no uncertain terms will I not accept more of their product.  In the end, the service rep "can't" cancel my account; sales has to do it because it's less than a year old.  Now I'll get to talk to someone else, who will try and sell me, and tell yet one more Burke employee - If you deliver more fuel I will interpret it as a gift and I will file a police report for trespassing.
    Burke really blew it, as a new homeowner I am sensitive to cost but have no basis for comparison, had they given me good service I would have happily went along. To be honest, I don't know how competitive their pricing is, I've only just hired a new oil company.  You can bet I'm taking detailed notes about what we agree to and when on my calendar.
