The doctor was very professional, pleasant and explained everything well. He did not try to push extensive testing or other unnecessary things like a lot other vets do. His staff was very professional as well. I had my mom bring her cat here from Brooklyn and very gals that I made that decision.

    Leslie's Leashes
Leslie is fantastic! She went above and beyond and put us at ease while we were gone. She gives full daily reports and even takes photos of your pet(s) so that you can see how they're doing. I trust her completely, and so do my dogs. Highly recommended!

Unfortunately it turned out that what Charlie had was most likely Intestinal Lymphoma. Dr. Rind, through the tests and his own acute observations was able to rule out almost everything else. Unfortunately it would require a biopsy to confirm and Charlie would never survive that surgery. His colleague Dr. Shields helped us to very humanely and peacefully put Charlie down 1 week ago. She is another gem at Great Neck Animal Hospital and was able to help us through this most difficult process of all. Charlie was in a lot of pain at the end, so we were happy that we had such great veterinarians to give him a peaceful way out. Thanks Great Neck Animal Hospital and especially Thank You Dr. Rind.

it went fine, my dog came back home and it seems like he was treated ok. the place is not very clean, and there is no feel of love to your animal. they also are petty with charges but their initial costs are average or cheaper than some competitors.

.We had been looking for a dog as a birthday present for my son. We had visited some town shelters and we were unimpressed and the smell was staggering. We were advised to steer clear of the North Shore Animal Shelter from someone who had worked in the industry, but it was many years ago. We decided to give it a try
The facilities were exceptionally clean. You hardly noticed any smell at all. The dogs appeared to be well cared for.The staff may be overwhelmed as they would answer your questions but quickly move on to the next task rather than staying until all your questions were satisfied.
We found a dog we liked and started the paperwork process. The process appeared to be very thorough, but it took a looooong time. We waited around four hours to complete the process and if it wasn't nearing closing time, it may have took longer.
In the end result, we got a great dog who is already enmeshed in our family. Be prepared to wait a long time for the process to complete, but that being said they do a really good job. I made a suggestion to them to set up a qualification process online, so they could do all the background checking beforehand. We'll see how that goes.

The total adoption experience was very positive.  There are a lot of animals, all of whom look well cared for.  The volunteers were helpful, enthusiastic, but with different levels of expertise sometimes,a common situation in organizations that use a lot of volunteers.  There is a bit of paperwork involved, but that's to be expected for the protection of the animals.  Follow up checkups were scheduled and so far have gone smoothly.

    Brookville Animal Hospital
We have been using Brookville Animal Hospital for over 14 years. Dr Krasnoff and his staff have been wonderful to deal with through new dog, aging dog, putting down an aged dog and now a new dog again. We never have any qualms about seeing any of the vets in his office, they are all terrific. There has never been an instance when we needed a vet and they were not available to see us that same day.

I want to start out with something positive. When the the vet called me with the results she was thorough and continued to stay with me on the phone until all of my questions were answered. She was really great in this respect! I would never use this Cat Hospital again. What a racket! I called because my cat was sick and did not have an affiliation with a vet. They made an appointment for me the next day. When I brought her in, with weight loss and vomiting, it was assessed that a blood work-up was needed. No problem. But before I knew it, she was also given her annual shots. This cat should never have been given these shots. The bill was really high for the services rendered. If I had not taken the time to look at the bill before I left the office I would have been overcharged by $52.00 because of an error on their computer. No apologies given at the time. I was charged $4.00 for a waste deposits-which just seems another way to get more money. I called the vets office when I learned that my cat did nothave long to live. I spoke with the office manager. I told him the story of my cat and the unneccessary shots my cat had been given and that since these shots were really inappropriate, that they take care of euthanizing my cat for free or for a greatly reduced cost. After a lot of back and forth, he said that they would call me the next day. Ofcourse the call never came through and I did take her to another vet to have her put down. They were not only greedy but did not even follow through when they said they would. I got their name off of Angie's List and I would never recommend them to anyone. Especially for a new client who brings in a sick cat. When I talked to the office manager and said that I would write a bad report on Angies list and report them to the governing agency of vets, his response was go ahead! Bad, bad, bad! Shame on them!

We have a pure breed cat. Since she was 12 weeks of age she has gone to this vet. The staff is wonderful and the doctor loves the animals. We also board her and are very pleased with the convenience and accommodations. They play with the animals and it is less stressful than boarding with other animals. I like that they only cater to cats. They send yearly reminders for check up and shots, which is very helpful.

Dr. Jay Berkowitz of the Old Shore Animal Clinic is the world's best vet. He's an animal lover the tenth degree. He's very knowledgeable and often figures things out that I'm sure other veterinarians couldn't. He is also very thorough and handles the pets with tender care. Their prices are great and he is not out to get more money.
