    Mark Kaczala Plumbing & Htg
I actually used Angies List to get the guy. I think he was on Angie's List.He was here the same day the heating & air conditioning guy was here.It wasnt him Mark in particular, I think it was his first lieutenant that came to my house. His name was John, I think. He was great, he was good. He had come out the day before to look at it and then he came back to fix it on Tuesday. I think he came Monday afternoon to look at it and see what he needed, and then he brought back the stuff. He did an extra thing for me too, he put a pipe extension in so that my washer hose was less tight. The extra work was included, at least the parts anyway. It didnt take that much, I dont think. This was the second time I used them.

It cost a little more than I expected it to be, but then again with plumbing prices, I think that’s my problem. I don’t remember what the total cost was, it was either like $400 or $600, or something like that. It might have been $450 or $400 even, or something like that. He is my plumber of choice right now.

    Flint Plumbing & Heating
Went very well.  Mark Flint responded promptly, fixed my problem in two hours.  He was efficient, had all replacement parts on his truck and completely picked up after he was done.  Replacement was a Delta single-handle tub/shower system to replace a 19 year old Delta single-handle system that had seized and was not fixable.  He was professional, efficient and knowledgable, and obviously experienced in this type of repair.  Looks like his labor charge was $80 per hour - which I thought was reasonable.
I would definitely recommend him to anyone in the Poestenkill, Sand Lake, Averill Park area.

    Averill Park Septic Svc LLC

I love these guys. We used them for 3 different home inspections to check the septic systems and when our pump went in our house we immediately called them. They came out within 2 hours to do an initial inspection, which couldn?t be done until they emptied the septic. They were there same day to do so (and it was a VERY cold January morning).
After they discovered the problem, they spent the time to go over what options we had and didn?t push us to choose the more expensive one!!
I would defiantly recommend and use them again!

I found Farrell Bros using Angies list.  After reading many of the reviews I concluded (from the other reviews) the cost for a drain snaking would run (+/-) about $99.00. I purchased the $200 coupon for $99 thinking it would cover any more costs (if any). I scheduled the appointment, a 4 hour window, the tech called about 5 minutes before arriving. Once he arrived I explained the issue and showed him the drain I wanted snaked.  First he had me sign a form which essentially says you owe $99 even before he starts...I thought it odd but assumed the $99 would go towards the cost of the job. He was very pleasant and went about checking the issue and proceeded to snake the drain.  He also tightened 3 compression fittings on the sink that were lose.  The total visit was just under one hour.He finalized the bill the total was  $251.84 (the $99 service charge and $149 for drain snaking). So once I used the $200 coupon the "remaining balance" was $48 plus tax= $51.84.The total was  I had been prepared for +/-$99.00.  I didn't try to discuss the total with the technican I waited and called Farrell Bros directly.  I just explained the issue to the Kim who had answered the phone.   She was very helpful and said she would call me back after reviewing this issue with Randy.  She did as promised and called back to say they would waive the  $99 "service" fee so my Angie coupon would more then cover the entire job.  I consider that fair and reasonable.
Bottom line:  I would call them again based on the service I received.  BUT I would strongly advise everyone to ask, before scheduling any service, about any "fees" or "charges" you may incur not directly part of the job.  Further it may be helpful to ask any contractors how much a simple job (ie drain cleaning) costs/averages assuming no unexpected issues. That way everyone would be on the same page from the beginning and would avoid issues such as mine.
So bottom line $99 for snaking a drain in about an hour I think is fair,  $250 is not.

Very good experience. They showed up right on time, did a thorough and professional job. The guy was courteous and friendly and cleaned everything up when finished. I also like that they send you a postcard reminder when your tank is due for another cleaning.

It went fine. He identified the problem, cleaned out a couple of pipes. Unfortunately, a permanent solution will have to be tackled in the Spring.
