    Scarsdale Medical Group
    Large medical practices such as SMG outsource their communications. The result is that it is near impossible to reach a doctor and one's fingers get tired pressing numbers. And the portal they set up is useless. For every 10 messages I have sent to a doctor maybe 1 gets a response. And don't get me started on billing. I make sure I keep my copay receipt as I get bills for payments made often. The problem is that there are few alternate medical practices in Westchester. CareMount has an even worse communications system and the one time I used their doctor I waited over an hour. I miss the days of Dr. Welby

    You are a number. One of thousands of patients so if you are looking for a personal touch, this is not the place for you. Although it is convenient that they have so many good doctors and specialists, the support staff doesn't seem to like working here. It really is so obvious when you call or check in and the man/woman behind the desk looks and acts annoyed. As a patient you are consistently sent to the phone tree which takes too long to navigate and once you find the right phone line...you wait for 5-10 minutes to speak with someone! In my experience, waiting rooms are full and I wait 20-30 minutes (past my appt time) to see the doctor.

    In terms of treatment, patience, kindness and helpfulness I was not pleased with them. The doctor's work is hard for me to judge and I hope that they are good. I have to wait for everyone and I am treated like a child. It cancels the impression of the doctor. Their bedside manner is worst and they don't know how to treat people.

    I have been going there for about 20 years. He is good. The office is satisfactory and very well maintained. Because of the medical group there are numerous doctors that become involved depending on what the particular focus of attention happens to be so if you have a cardiac problem there is cardiac person. The people you deal with are very friendly. I would continue to use them.

    I've gone to them for years. I like them very much and I've always found them responsive to my needs. When I was living in Egypt I could get in touch with them. They would give me advice or whether I should come home to get treatment. I find that if you really need the attention you are going to get it and if your problem is relatively minor then they are going to be quicker. They have a quota to meet like everybody else. I am a nurse so I understand all of it.

    I have been going to them for over 25 years now. I lived in Egypt for 7 years and if I had a problem she would answer my e-mails. The office manager would expedite me getting my healthcare done while I was home in the Summer. I find them extremely responsive. I have not had a critical illness, but for everyday care she is very responsive. The office environment is adequate.
