Insulation reviews in Pleasantville

Tom was wonderful - right at the very beginning, he advised against certain types of insulating which would not help. Instead, he guided us to take a more reasonable approach which resulted in a better solution for our problem with cold rooms in the house. He and his team were extremely professional and courteous. Most importantly, I quickly realized Tom was a man of integrity and was at ease with giving my business to him right away. I highly recommend his services for insulation and will definitely use him again for future needs in this area.

    Above & Beyond Contracting
Over the course of 2 years restoring the interior of our house, we dealt with many professionals. Bud Moore is the only one I can recommend without hesitation. It was a severely stressful time in our lives, and Bud was always extremely responsive, friendly, and truthful. He gave us hope there was actually a light at the end of the tunnel. When he said he would be at the house, he was there. I am an interior designer by trade, and had a very particular vision and standards when it came to how I wanted the home to look. Bud was patient and truly made the effort to understand and collaborate, and as a result exceeded my expectations. I love my home! The attention to detail was excellent, and he will still come to the house to correct any minor punch list items that occur. His subcontractors were all very friendly and respectful as well. This was Part I of a major renovation, and we will without a doubt be hiring him for Part 2. Of all the awful people we dealt with, I am so thankful that we chose the absolute correct contractor for our job, because in the end, he is the most important person on the job. I shudder to think, and know it is true, that we would still not be back in our house if we had chosen another contractor.

Thermo Seal Windows Siding & Roofing
Hiring Thermo-Seal Windows & Siding to install our new windows was an awesome experience from start to finish. Owner Aaron came to our house personally and we had a quote in hand before he pulled out of the driveway. This impressed us because other companies we talked to sent salesmen who did not necessarily have the carpentry/construction background that Aaron did. Thermo-Seal was the only window company we interviewed that agreed to insulate around the windows (which was really important to us considering our home is older). Because Aaron is also a contractor, his was the only company we felt qualified to tackle the associated carpentry our more complicated project required. In addition to new windows (two casements, one slider and 17 double-hung), we needed some frames rebuilt/repaired, and in several rooms we changed opening sizes and window arrangement. The quote we got was incredibly reasonable for the amount of work involved. Another thing we liked: The same person who actually installs the windows, Jader, also measures the windows for order, which avoids and problems later during the installation. Jader was friendly, professional and knowledgable -- a real problem-solver. His crew was great. They showed up when they said they would and cleaned up after each day so you never knew they were there. Project was completed on time. But the best part -- the windows! Especially the charming little casements by the fireplace and bottom of stairway. Super high quality and from the outside you can't even tell they are replacements. Our house has never looked better or felt warmer. I would highly recommend Thermo-Seal for any job big or small.

    Westside Home Improvement
The team showed up early as promised. They were very accommodating regarding the amount of stuff we still had in the attic (I meant to do a better cleanup than what I managed to accomplish). When done with the original job, they surveyed the garage, provided a price to reattach the insulation that was coming loose, and completed the work the same day. All in all, very professional. No trash left behind, nice crew, prompt responses. Will definitely consider them for future jobs.

Thermo Seal Windows Siding & Roofing
We're very happy to have gone with Thermo-Seal. Workers showed up on time and worked quickly and cleanly. Minor issue with two windows being ordered in the wrong size, but a return trip was going to happen anyway for the bay window install, so no biggie. Most of our old windows barely closed, so we noticed the house retain heat right away. The installers returned on a Saturday to install the bay window and finish out the last 2 remaining windows. Another full day of work. Again, the guys were on time and went out of their way to keep things clean. At every point of the install I felt the guys were making sure things were done correctly - leveling, insulation, steel cabling for the bay window, matching shingles to the roof for the bay and new matching molding on the interior for the bay. The house used to lose 2 degrees of temp within 30 minutes of the heat being turned off, and it would get worse quickly from there. After finishing the install, the house was able to hold at about 68 degrees for like four hours. They look great and seem to function great. We'll obviously get a better idea when we're opening/closing them more often in the spring and summer, but I've no reason to doubt they'll be great. The bay window is fantastic. From the outside, it looks as if it was always part of the house, which I think is a credit to the installers. Looks great from the inside too.
UPDATE: A squirrel took a leap at one of our windows and tore a large gash in the screen. Aaron ordered us a new screen free of charge, delivered it and offered to install. We were able to easily install it ourselves with a few directions over the phone.

    Draftless LLC
They drilled holes every 16 inches on each floor and inserted foam in all the walls, keeping all the plaster intact. Then they sealed it all up and replaced the siding. They closed off in the basement the sill area along the foundation of the house. They sprayed the attic ceiling and walls with a thicker foam.
