    The Flooring Girl
I found Debbie (The Flooring Girl) through Angie's List and called her office to schedule an estimate. They were fast! I met Debbie not even two days later and she did a walkthrough and computed an estimate on the spot for a 2 bedroom apartment in desperate need of refinishing. She spotted doorway saddles that needed to be replaced and included those in the estimate. It all came out less than I expected. She is quite knowledgeable and was able to tell me about all the options for refinishing. We set up to start the job just a few days later.
My co-op requires insurance certificates and licenses for any contractor work and Debbie knew exactly what to do. Within just a few hours, her office had that information to me and my management company.
On the day of the job, the crew arrived early and a woman from Debbie's office was there to oversee the work. Again, they were fast. They showed me some sample stains on the wood to let me decide what I wanted. I went with natural finish in the end. We noticed that the ugly carpet on the stairs to my new place had good hardwood underneath, and it turned out not to be a lot extra to refinish that too. I gave the keys to the crew and I didn't see the place again for 3 days. When I came back, I was wowed by the terrific work. The floors looked brand new. The new saddles looked great. There were no stains or scuffs on the wall anywhere, and there was no smell (I had to go with a water-based finish). I honestly didn't know beforehand how good it would look or how fast it would be.
Debbie visited again to discuss stairs runner options with me, and that will be scheduled soon. She gave us instructions for maintaining the floor, and within a day, we had some floor cleaner delivered to us.
I'm completely happy with the service I got from The Flooring Girl. I will hire her again when the floor needs an update and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her. She made me feel like I was a priority the whole time. I feel confident I got more than my money's worth for this job.

    Evolve Remodeling Group LLC
Overall everything went very smoothly.  John and his crew were very professional, very courteous, and were very patient with all of the different requests I through at them.  They worked with us on all of the little different details and finishes that were available, and helped my Wife and I turn our dream of a living space into reality.  All of the work they did was very top notch, high quality, and was exactly the way we wanted it.  If you're looking for a Company that can fix/finish/remodel/renovate any room or space from A-Z, look no further than Evolve.

    Floorcraft Carpet Company
My husband an I have recently had a major home renovation. The new master bedroom needed carpeting. It's a fairly large room. I stopped by Floorcraft to find something attractive, but affordable.
The woman who met me when I walked in (Susan) suggested I take a look at the remnants because I did not want wall to wall. There were many to choose from. I described the new paint color in the room and the general color rug I was interested in. Susan was very helpful in immediately directing me to what she thought would fit the bill. I narrowed the choices down to two. One of the carpets was of expensive quality, the other was far less expensive (but not nearly as plush.) I took 2 sample sizes of the carpets home to compare.
I was really torn. Having just finished the renovation, funds are low. Susan spoke with the owner and he offered me the higher quality carpet at a really do-able price (especially considering the large size of the room.)
When you order a remnant it needs to be bound. The binding was included in the price. It even included a runner of the carpet for the entrance to the room.
Another employee came by my house soon after our arranged price and measured for a more precise and accurate cut.
The rug was delivered that weekend. I did not pay the entire cost until I received the rug and was satisfied. It looked great and I was thrilled. It is very thick and plush underfoot. It's perfect for a bedroom where you're walking barefoot.
Floorcraft did me an additional favor. There was some carpet leftover from the cut that was left with me. I realized the piece perfectly fit a spot in front of the bathroom. The owner suggested I drop it back off at the store and he would bind it for free-which he did. I was so pleased!
The entire experience was very pleasant (from the choosing, delivering and payment.) I felt prompted to write a review for other angie's list members.

    T F Andrew Carpet One
The salesperson was very knowledgeable about the different options available to us. She was courteous and professional. In fact, we felt like we were well attended to, and more educated about carpets after the experience. After making our purchase of the carpet, however, the service thereafter went significantly downhill. When trying to schedule the installation, we were not treated with any of the same responsiveness and attention that we experienced on the sales floor. Phone calls were not returned and special requests (i.e. to come early in the day) were largely ignored. I had to make a big fuss and threaten to cancel my order in order to get a fair response. For this reason I will not use them again. In terms of the price, it seemed comparable to the market. The men did a good enough job installing the carpet and it is of good quality from what we can determine thus far. But I nearly cancelled my order because of their poor customer service in between.

Very professional from start to finish. Sales staff was extremely helpful in guiding me through the process of selecting the carpets. The installation crew was timely, skilled and very nice -- they did and excellent job iinstalling the runner and the carpet. The runner and carpet look great. I am very happy with the result

    The Flooring Girl
Debbie helped me select a great carpet. It was really soft and she helped me find the right color. We looked at them in different lights and she ordered me samples so I felt sure. She also found me a beautiful dark brown wood for entry way. Installation was smooth -- just one day and no hiccups.

I have known them for years and they are a local carpeting company. They have good prices and it's a family firm. It's a small firm, but they do a superb job. They have been in business from the time after the Second World War. They don't do mass or enormous jobs and what they do is exquisite and small. They have upscale carpets or better quality carpets. They do broader work in wool, silk, nylon and other fibers. They are not a typical carpet place that sells standard carpets. They aren't like a company that brings many samples to your house and does the carpet installation for $79. However, they spend a lot of time in getting samples or buying samples. They get it for you if they don't have the samples. They also make sure that they lay the carpets on the floor and take photographs of the colors. They check at different times of the day to see the effects that the daylight has on those colors. They are expensive, but I felt it's reasonable for what they are providing. You are paying more and getting more with good value. I don't think that an average home owner would put down or do the kind of job or have those kind of people. Their quality is superb.

I called them to look at my carpet that was flooded. They said it could not be salvaged so I ordered another one and they installed it and removed the damaged one. They were very professional and did a great job.
