    Technician showed up on time to perform what I thought would be an overall analysis in order to provide an estimate. Before I knew it, the work was completed and I am handed a bill for $446 dollars. Technician stated that the compressor was down 2 lbs and needed recharging. No breakdown of pricing just one large bill. Unfortunately I paid, where I should have refused to do so. Called the company back to see if they were willing to adjust the price, as a second company later came by and gave me an estimate of $254 for the same work. Person who answered the phone stated that the owner is the only one who was authorized to do this and that he would call me back. No call back, no surprise! Also had requested an estimate for some septic work with their Septic division, known as Mr Rooter. Needles to say, I cancelled that visit.

    Fox Air Corp
    FOX AIR CORP RIPPED ME OFF Fox Air Corp guys were at my home last January to do annual cleaning/maintenance, and to replace a faulty pressure relief valve. Here���s a synopsis of how they did: -Failed to diagnose an extremely dangerous and faulty control, despite two indicators of symptoms that were explained up front ��� this could have caused my boiler to explode and killed someone (Google ���boiler explosion���) -Failed to notice multiple holes in the chimney pipe (including one 3���x3/4���), allowing dangerous carbon monoxide fumes to enter my home ��� this can kill humans and animals -Failed to brush & vacuum the boiler and chimney pipe despite charging me for this on their invoice - FRAUD -Grossly overcharged for all of the above - $250 for the cleaning/maintenance, PLUS $335 for installing a $14 part that should take ten minutes (minus a 15% discount), and they were here only 1.5 hours ��� total $583 -Failed to perform a proper diagnostic/efficiency test, since the holes in the chimney pipe diluted the results -Failed to mention or fix an efficiency rate that was lower than it should be for our unit -Fostered so little confidence that I had to hire another technician to check Fox Air Corp���s work so we could feel safe in our home The new guy was here for 1.5 hours, exactly the same amount of time as the Fox Air guys. He vacuumed and brushed the boiler and the chimney pipe, since Fox Air failed to do even that. And he replaced the nozzle ($15) at my request for a more efficient one. Yet Fox Air charged me more than FIVE TIMES what this guy did for the same exact amount of time and similar part. Fox Air may be entitled to somewhat higher rates due to their overhead, and sending two guys. But five times higher? That���s ridiculous. Fox Air Corp didn���t even do the work they invoiced and charged me for ��� and that���s outright FRAUD. I have complained to the owners, Don and Michele Fox, several times. I explained all of the above, and sent them actual proof of their shoddy work in the form of photographs (see pics). They have denied me a refund, and completely ignored my concerns. Don't get screwed by these horrible people like I did.

    I called on a Sunday afternoon, thinking I wouldn't get any response. Within two hours, a technician had arrived. Very impressed. Checked my unit and provided me with options. No pressure which is what I like. I got the answer I needed. I am happy with the service provided.

    Kevin and Mike arrived right on time. It was obvious that Kevin was new to the company as Mike was giving him a lot of direction. I am okay with that, everyone has to learn. Both were very professional. While there, Mike also looked at an issue I had with a dripping shower faucet. My wife did not want to cut open the sheetrock in her closet so Mike suggested that we replace the tub with a new fiberglass shower that way they could replace the valve in the wall and replace the valve in the wall and also add a new faucet. I am waiting on a price.

    Aire Serv was very quick to respond and I was able to get same day service for my heating system. They professionally performed all the repairs including a thorough general service call. There were many issues and they resolved them all. The service cost was reasonable considering the amount of work they performed. I would recommend them and will be using them for regular maintenance service in the future.

    Dan came right away after I called. He looked over the entire furnace and replaced the leaky part. He showed me other possible parts that might give trouble in the future and explained how and why. We discussed options for replacing other parts with NO pressure to do so at that time. I felt he was honest and informative. He told me that he was not "trained" in the System 2000, but the problem I was having was simple to fix. He spent well over an hour between examining, going out and buying the part and replacing it and only charged me about $100. ( I forget exactly.) Dan was polite and serious and I made sure to attach his business card to the furnace in case I needed him again. He gave me a senior  and an AngiesList discount.

    The whole experience from start to finish was excellent!  The owner actually emailed me and arranged a time but his staff had already taken care of it.  Rob D Came out with Mark and they put down their own doormat and used booties before coming into my house.  They were very thorough and explained everything in detail what they found and how to fix it.  By the time they were finished I had heat and the oi burner was working perfectly.  They were pleasant to work with and I got the sense I had gotten a very high quality Repair.  I am completely happy with the service they provided.

    Dan showed up on time and was very helpful in answering my questions and recommending service. He did a water test for me to see the extent of the water problems I told him about. He also is looking into adding a piece of equipment to help my furnace run more efficiently and will replace the rod in my hot water heater which is making the hot water smell like sulfur. He is checking with a company on a filtration system and when that is done I plan on hiring him to do the work.

    APPOLO HEATING AND COOLING
    We had been Appolo customers for six years.  We have had okay service during that time, but when things got tough they really dropped the ball.  As a result we were without hot water for TWO WEEKS.
    Appolo came to our house to fix our oil boiler, which also heats our hot water.  The boiler kept "locking out" which means that it is either dirty or not adjusted properly.  They cleaned the boiler and adjusted it, charged for the service, and left.
    The next day the boiler locked out again.  I called them again, and a new technician came out and said we needed a new pump for the boiler.  He said it would hopefully be there by the afternoon.  However, it was the Wednesday before July 4th weekend.  They ordered the pump, and we had to wait over the entire four day weekend for it to arrive.
    Monday came, and they installed the pump in the afternoon.  After leaving, the boiler spewed black smoke, and, sure enough, it locked out again within a few hours.  I called Appolo again, and they sent out a technician who worked on it for a few hours.  He said he was stumped, and would call the factory for some ideas.
    Two days later I hadn't heard from them.  I called their service manager, who said he was working his way "down his list".  I was shocked that we weren't at the top of the list after having a nonworking boiler for 9 days.  In any case, he said he would talk to his technicians and call me back.  He never called.  Whenever I call he is "in a meeting."  Whether that's true or not, the fact that they did not make any effort to prioritize my calls shows that they don't really care about a long term customer relationship.  Each time I called it was like they had never heard of me.
    So, now I'm off to find a new oil burner service company.
