AUniverse Home ServicesSince this was an emergency (we were concerned that the pipe might crack with no support) we went with Universe as that was the first company we contacted. The service manager (Tommy) sent over a tech (Nick) within 2 hours. Nick proceeded to remove 20ft of old pipe and replaced with new PVC and new support straps. The job took about 5 hours including the assessment and cleanup. The service was performed very professionally. We did pay $2,700, which we feel was a quite high for 5 hours of work. But, since we didn't get competing bids we can't complain.- Richard L.

AChoice Home WarrantyIt went well company informed me upfront that service tech called in sic and work delayed one day. tech arrived 2nd day, evaluated and recommended replacement base on non repairability and age of dishwasher. Tech was absolutely professional, knowledgable - took photos for description to Choice. Choice has been fair on each service call we've requested, more economic and a better crew of responsive service people. Choice is an easy "choice" over competitors. Very pleased. AAppliance MasterDonny arrived right on time, both visits. He assessed the problem quickly and returned within about a week with the new part. Repair was accomplished very quickly and the oven has been working great since the repair at the end of Dec. 2020. Donny and his assistant were both very nice and totally professional. AI haven't used the appliance in the six years since my wife passed away, but when I looked inside one day, I found an inch of standing water in it. Long story short, the repairman found the intake valve was leaking, and since I no longer have need for the dishwasher, he went to the basement and found the appropriate shutoff valve, came up, spun out the standing water, and all's well. You might say that he didn't fix the dishwasher. He didn't. He fixed the problem. IL don't worry about harboring a mold factory, and go on cleaning my few dishes the old fashioned way.

FBuyer beware!!! They charge you $249 service fee to show up after 5pm and when they arrive they tell you the tech support for your manufacturer is not available until business hours the next business day. They return the next business day to tell you the part needed is not in stock and it will take a few days to arrive. Who has 2-3 days to wait at 30-35 degrees with no heat or hot water???? I went to a local plumbing supply company and brought the required part sealed in a box from the manufacturer, but Universe refused to install. I advised I would take responsibility for the part, they still refused to install leaving me with no heat... (maybe because there is no markup available when customer supplies the part?....I offered to pay a markup just to get heat in the house, they still refused). They claimed the job would cost $1,500. The required part was $75. Check out Sullivan Plumbing and Heating in Massapequa. They did the same job with my part for 20% of the price quoted by Universe Home Services. Mr. Sullivan is an honest plumber who does great work.

AHarmond was very knowledgeable and understood this model. He looked at the situation and found that a service bulletin was issued for this model, which three previous repair in-person repair technicians had not told me about. He diagnosed the problem as requiring a new kit to replace the main PCB control board and the display board. He gave me the OEM part number. I highly recommend Neli Virtual Appliance Repair, my first virtual repair experience. Cost $35. I would do it again. Took 15-20 minutes to install app and pay at start of appt.
