    MALLO HOME IMPROVEMENTS

Both jobs went very well as usual i have used Mallo for several other projects around my home.  The people to do the windows were prompt and all i had to do is keep the screens on when they removed the windows to put the new glass in.  The windows were done in about 3 hours and they look amazing like i said above. The workers cleaned everything up and washed the windows inside and out.

The railings went on very easy and the whole area is unbelievable looking...........Again Mallo's workers cleaned up everything that needed to be taken away and also helped me put my patio furniture back up on the deck.

At night it looks so beautiful out in the gardens.  When Mallo put on the deck a few years ago they installed lights on the steps which i use all of the time.

    Scott Hadfield Construction
We were extremely happy with the overall re-model.
It started with Scott taking the time to listen to what we wanted and discussing various options. He provided an accurate quote for the work to be performed including start and end dates. The demo work was quick and areas were kept clean. Scott and his team showed up when they said they would and competed the job as stated and on time.

    Premier Sunroom Solutions
We contracted with "Factory Direct Sunrooms" to build a three-season sunroom on our house.  Within a week, a truck arrived, and unloaded the pieces for the project.  Three days later, the contractor arrived, and surveyed the pieces.  He determined that one of the key pieces, a triangular window, was not included.  He stated that he would contact the company to expedite shipping of the part.  In the meantime, he would have his crew begin the work of removing the old deck, and starting the new one.  Two days later, a Wednesday, a crew arrived and began the demolition, but could not begin the new deck until the building permit was issued.  The following Monday, the crew returned, building permit in hand, and started work on the new deck; halting at mid-day to wait for the building inspector to check the depth of the footing holes for the deck pillars.  The inspector arrived on Wednesday, inspected the holes and declared them adequate.  The crew returned on Friday to place the pillars and build the deck platform, insulate it, and cover it with plywood.  They also stripped the siding from the area where the sunroom would be built; and quit for the weekend, reporting that they would not be back on Monday because they had another job to finish.  On Thursday of the next week, they returned; bringing with them the missing window, which had somehow ended up delivered to another job site.  On this visit, the crew leader finally realized that our electrical service entrance cable would have to be moved (he bumped into it while removing the siding); as I had been trying to tell him since the job started.  Call an electrical contractor to get an estimate, contact the power company to schedule their part of the work; and wait another week.  Electric service is moved, power restored.  Roofing tear-off and replacement begins, while construction of the sun room continues.  Eventually, all work is completed, after more than a full month.
Three years after completion of the work, bits of styrofoam begin to fall from the roof, into the sun room.  All attempts to make contact with the company failed (and continue to fail).  A year ago, during a routine insurance inspection, the inspector reported that our 10-years-old roof was beginning to fail.  New attempts to contact THE NEW company are unsuccessful.  The roofing material supplier required information from the contractor in order to process a warranty claim; and we were still unable to reach anyone to help us, and were forced to pay the full cost of the replacement.  It was during the time I was trying to settle this problem that I was finally able to determine that the "Factory Direct" principals were the same as the "Premier Sunroom" principals, but have never received a response to telephone calls or emails to them.

    MALLO HOME IMPROVEMENTS
Overall, i would use them all over again and because i have used them for several years, i really do not have any don'ts about Mallo Home Improvements..

they always give you the price up front without any hidden costs.  They in their contracts tell you exactally what they will be doing, how long it will take approx.

Alumaroll Awning & Window Company Inc
The work went very well. Alumaroll proposed an excellent solution that would satisfy the owner's intent. Others proposed more expensive solutions did not. Some others refused to quote because they would do only a screened / glass sunroom that was inappropriate to the porch location. Alumaroll obtained stock that was no longer in regular distribution and supply to match the original installation. Very considerately they accepted the changes without an up-charge. They accepted several schedule changes while the house exterior was under rehabilitation without applying a storage charge for holding the finished screens. The owner was personally on site for the work. We are more than satisfied with the completed installation.
