  • Could not with any degree of honesty recommend Brockman Tree & Lawn Care for snow removal. We had a contract with them in 2014-15. The service was poor. Often came quite late and the job done was consistently bad. But most importantly, the billing was terrible. We were billed per trip and on several occasions we were billed twice on the same day when they only came once and on two occasions billed for trips they did not make at all. When we called to address these issues, the office staff was unable to assist and on the one occasion we talked with the owner, he insisted someone had been there (even though we had camera security footage to show otherwise). His only response was they would just stop coming. A completely unfair statement as this was made in January when it would be impossible to to get additional assistance. Just look at L O.'s review for a similar circumstance. I've also dealt with Brockman Tree & Lawn when I was at another local not-for-profit and they did not pay their bills as invoiced so as far as I'm concerned, that's strike 3. Heed my warning and do NOT use them. By the way, I held off reviewing them until I received perhaps the 10th request via email to review them on Yelp. Well, they got what they asked for.

  • Mike was short of staff during the worst snowfall of last year. He sent an obviously unqualified person to do the job. The guy plowed over my raised box garden and destroyed it. Plowed so much snow my back porch that I had great difficulty exiting. Too late in the season at that point to engage another provider. Fortunately he refunded the money I paid up front. Then wouldn't return my phone calls.

  • We have a guy who is not very responsible or reliable. With the big snow storm that we had, he didn't show up till like 11:00 at night or something. We had to dig our way through to get into the house. He'd have to be be here early because we've got to work and stuff like that. He's more reasonably priced because everybody is in the three or four hundred range. He was charging for 14 trips, about 215, then he started charging by the season, 275. The day we needed him he showed up after we'd dug our way in. My neighbor and I had to push his wife up the driveway. The guy shows up late usually. We just keep using him because of the price.

  • Terrible.  I feel like Blake's boys lied to him.  And that Blake would not honor the agreement I had with them.  I look for service companies to "do the right thing" and they'll gain my respect forever.  Blake clearly doesn't want our business, which is his choice.  I only wish they'd have said that in the beginning.

Will never recommend or use Blake Miller Landscraping.

  • We had a season contract for snow plowing. The first couple of months were okay, though plowing was not as prompt as I would like. But then he simply stopped showing up, did not return phone calls or emails, and gave no explanation whatsoever.

  • I'm in the same boat as yesterday's reviewer. I've tried to give Greg every benefit of doubt, but Arlington rarely shows up (whereas my neighbors are plowed early and often), when they show, quality of work is mediocre, never returns calls (if you can even leave a message as voicemail is usually full), nor texts, nor emails. Been hoping for a week and a half to get the driveway plowed again. Sorry man, this is just all WAY out of line. Considering a small claims court filing to get some/all money back. BBB shows no complaints yet; perhaps Angie's List is the best place to do this now.

  • December and part of January went well.  There were maybe 4 times that required a plow.  Over the past 3 weeks when the snow has been heavier and the temperature colder, he has been nowhere to be found.  Worse yet, he will not return my calls.  It's mid-February and we have no idea if we still have someone to plow our driveway.  Unacceptable.
On his voicemail he says that it's been so cold that his hydraulics are freezing up on the plow blade.  Not buying that.  Hydraulics don't freeze in these temperatures for 2 reasons: they're under pressure and hydraulic fluid begins to freeze at -70 deg. F.   And I see plows driving and working on every other street and driveway all over the city.
All he had to do was call and explain what the honest reason was.

  • Generally ok. Seems like we were always last on the block to get plowed. I did have to call them a couple times when we weren't plowed sometimes 24 hours after a snowfall, but they were usually responsive when I did this and were here within an hour. I shouldn't have to call though! We've been with them for 12 years, but will be getting competitive quotes for the next snow season.

  • i used blake miller for the winter 2012-2013 snow seaon. there were a few times i wasn't sure if they actually plowed when they said they did. but i couldn't be sure. i paid everything he charged because i couldn't be sure. for the 2013-2014 season i kept track better especially in the last 3 months. i marked down which days he had plowed and the number of times during that day he plowed. i called the office incessantly because they were not plowing and i had to get out of my driveway.  i told them i was being charged for work not done and i still had to call repeatedly to get plowed out. at the end of the season they were charging me for several plows they did NOT do and then hit me with late charges when i called to say i had not been plowed on those dates. they added more late charges- i told them i would not pay for work not done and certainly not late charges on top of it.. today i received a notice that they have turned me over to collections. i can send in a dispute but this is ridiculous. i recommend staying as far away as possible from blake miller- they also wrecked my lawn missing the driveway when they did plow- knocking down their own stakes to mark the driveway!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Jason and his crew did a remarkable job. Not only did they perform all the physical aspects (preparing the bed, planting, transplanting, etc.) with competence, they demonstrated creativity in designing the garden as well. Their professionalism and work ethic is exemplary.

I will definitely use Flint Landscaping again in the future and will recommend them to others.
