    Mack Of All Trades
The evaluator came to our house in July to give us a free estimate. He explained the process well and gave us a quote. He informed us that they could do the work in one day (with two people) but could not start the job until September due to previously contracted work. We were not in a hurry and the estimate was reasonable so we agreed to have him come to do the work. We paid in full in July. Two weeks before the original start date in September, the team informed us that our start date was pushed back due to other work. Which we were fine with. The team continued to push our job back due to other big jobs running over without telling us. The issue is that their communication was very poor. One of the days they were supposed to come, I emailed to give them our garage code, and the team emailed me later to inform me that it would be another few weeks. Again and again they pushed our job back in favor or completing the other bigger jobs and routinely did not tell us. They finally started the job the first week in October (one month after the original estimated start time). The job was apparently more difficult than the estimator (who is different from the person doing the actual work) bargained for. The job took 12 business days with good weather plus one weekend day to complete because the team could only work on our job sparingly because they had other work to complete. During the 3 weeks we became increasingly frustrated with their lack of communication as they did not once inform us of how the project was going or when they expected to return except when we emailed them to bug them about it. They did call us when the job was 95% completed to tell us, and also to collect a $100 debris removal fee that was not in our initial contract (if we wanted to pay them to remove the debris). Overall, the work was adequate and the price was average. Ben (the contractor who actually did the work) was very nice and helpful and did exactly what we asked of him. However, we would not use the company again due to their poor communication, and inefficient scheduling.

    Campbell Services
RUINED OUR FLOOR AND WALL AND REFUSES TO FIX OR PAY FOR IT - Contracted CS Services to mount a television over our fireplace in early July 2018. Placed a $50.00 Deposit on the contract for his services. Mr. Campbell arrived to install. He stated he would just need to cut out a section of drywall on the side or the fireplace and place a outlet cover over it. He stated he would run the wires all through the wall and we would only have the outlet visible. Mr. Campbell proceeded to cutout the outlet area and went into the unfinished part of the basement to drill into the wall area to run the cords into the outlet on our first floor next to the fireplace. Once him and I proceeded upstairs and we observed the area, it became clear that he drilled a hole in out 1 year old hardwood floor that was approximately a foot and a half away from the wall where he was trying to access. Our discussion was that I would have our floor guy, replace that section of the floor, sand and stain. He agreed at this point. I contact our flooring company Upswing Flooring (Mena Tawadros, President) to get an estimate. He sent an estimate for $1,350.00 plus tax to repair the floor, sand and restain. I contact Mr. Campbell at CS Services and we agreed that we would repair the floor on August 13th, 2018 since that was a date that Upswing Flooring had available. We discussed that we were going to a hotel on August 12th, 13th and 14th due to the fumes from the flooring repair. Mr. Campbell did not contact us and never arranged the deposit or payment for the flooring repair so I was contacted on Monday that Upswing never showed. Mr. Campbell told me that he didn't have the money and there were other things that were more important. He asked we wait. I contacted Mr. Campbell 08/21/2018 and he stated he would pay us for the flooring, wall repair and hotel reimbursement. Called and text again 10/04/2018. He returned our deposit of $50.00 and sent me another $50.00 and said thats all he has to pay.

    JEFF TALLON ENTERPRISES LLC
We had been trying to get our pull down attic stairs fixed for several months but fixes proposed by a variety of contractors didn't seem appropriate. The salesperson for Jeff Tallon was great - up front about safety concerns regarding a "fix" and showed us where previous fixes had been done. Based on his very reasonable advice, we replaced the whole thing. The available attic stairs did not fit the space of our 50 year old attic stairs, so they came up with very appropriate modifications. The actual project was one day, the person doing the job was professional and friendly. They also included a reasonably priced replacement of insulation and covering that was discovered in the attic. I would definitely hire them again.

    Mack Of All Trades
We hired Mack of all Trades to repair, sand, paint and install new hardware to our kitchen cabinets, and install new counter tops, flooring and lighting in the kitchen. In addition they completed general interior and exterior electrical repairs. We also had them complete other small repair projects around the house. Overall, we were very pleased with Mack of all Trades. Specifically, if anything wasn't done to our liking, they either caught it first and fixed it, or fixed it when we brought it to their attention. They take pride in their work and have high standards, doing everything until it is perfectly correct. We did have an issue with the quality of the work completed by one of the workers they brought to the house, but Mack of all Trades corrected the work of that worker upon inspection at no additional cost to us. We did have a couple of surprises in our final invoice about repairs where we did not obtain a quote prior to the repair being made. Always best to get a quote before work on a repair is approved. Mack of All Trades is very amicable to work with, very professional and fair. We will definitely be doing business with them again.

    Penfield Hardware And Handyman
I have a handyman that I love. He does it all - electrical, plumbing, odd jobs around the house, and he just fixed a couple of sliding doors. He has done multiple jobs for me. I think his price is great and he is just a great guy. I would hire him again and again. We actually walked around the property, and I showed him a couple other jobs I was thinking about and he gave me some suggestions and I am going to have him back again in a couple of months. He has given me a quote for replacing my bathroom sinks and I will have him do that at some point as well once I get all the materials. I will absolutely use him again. He is a wonderful preson to help me out.

    Weiders Paint & Hardware
I have frequented the store many times for various purchases. Being a small store, sometimes their inventory is limited and you might be better off with the selection of a big box but Weiders always provides great guidance when I ask questions. I used their handyman service to replace/re-key some locks on my new house. The guy came out and did a great job of explaining to me what I had currently installed and what my options were. I went to the store to buy the locks/deadbolts and have them keyed to my specifications. I ended up installing some my self (because they were easy to do). The deadbolts required a special tool to re-drill the holes at the proper locations. The handyman did not have the tool at the time this was discovered... which meant we had to schedule another visit. (hence the slightly lower grade for professionalism). Price also seemed a tad high because I was charged some labor for the multiple visits. Would still recommend and am willing to try their service for other projects.

    From Cabin To Castle
His name is Chuck Curtis and he does wonderful handyman work around my home. The only thing he doesn't do is electric. He's honest, has saved me money several times showing me where I did not need to do work. I will use him whenever possible.

    Mack Of All Trades
Contacted us in about 24 hours, visited and provided an estimate within the next 24 hours. Work done the following week (we were not in a rush). Work was competent. We appreciated the fact we could find someone to do these "small" items quickly and competently!

    Mack Of All Trades
It went very well. They did exactly what they said they would do, and each step along the way, they explained to us what they were doing. They were very conscientious about being in our home, and they went out of their way to clean up a mess if they had made while working, including vacuuming the carpet.
