AGKontos Inc. Roofing SpecialistsMy husband and I needed to get our fascia board fixed, along with a new roof. We had Brian come out to give us a quote and he was so personal, yet professional, he really gave us a good vibe! Our financial situation has been difficult due to COVID, but Brian and the rest of the GKontos team were extremely patient with us and willing to work with us any way they could! The available financing options they have made it easier for my husband and I to budget out the expenses. The responsiveness and ability to make us feel cared about over the phone and in person, was a huge reason why we decided to go with GKontos for a fascia board (and roof down the line!). ASuperior Exteriors of the Finger LakesSuperior Exteriors saved my front porch. My house came with a front porch addition that had started to sag away from the house. I asked Kim if it could be saved. Her crew dug out all of the supports, replaced them and shored up the porch against the house again. Superior also replaced my roof. It required a complete tear off with 3 layers of shingles on it. I was happy with the price for the amount of work involved. Plus pleasantly surprised at how well the crew cleaned up after they where done. I originally contacted Superior because it is a woman owned business. I was pleasantly surprised in her competitive pricing backed up by excellent work. Whenever I need work done to my house inside or out Superior is who I call.- Suzette G.

ASunset Roofing LLCThe roofing team arrived early Monday morning and work tirelessly from 8:00AM to 7:30PM. The work was done efficiently and they were polite. They finish most of the job in one day. A smaller team came the next day and finished the work. A small shed, that was not included in the work proposal was also re-roofed. The company absorbed the mistake, which was beyond professional. They also took down an old tv antennae that had been up on the roof for decades! The extra work was terrific. Thank you to Sunset Roofing! Also when I was getting estimates for this job, they were the only business that told me that I could file an insurance claim for some wind damage that was found. Again thank you.- Rose S.

AGoat Crazy RoofingShaun and his crew were fantastic. They were here when they said they would be. Worked from early in the morning until dusk. Cleaned up when they were finished and Shaun came back to make sure I was totally satisfied before he left. I would recommend them to everyone who needs any roofing done. They pay attention to detail, work cleanly, complete jobs in a timely manor, and are trustworthy. What sets them even further above most other topnotch contractors is that they are creative thinkers. One such challenge was finding the right design for a partial roof over our front door, one that blended with the existing structure. The design was perfect and looks as though it was part of the original design. I'm very picky and would not hesitate to recommend Explicit Exteriors for any of your upcoming jobs.- Erica D.

Let me say this: I never take the time to write reviews, but I’m compelled to write this: #1. Absolutely, hands down number one in customer service! Roman’s communication, and follow through is superb! What a pleasure it was dealing with him on my roofing project! I didn’t meet his crew, but they all did a great job on the roof! #2 Roman was very knowledgeable, courteous, and straight forward. I was under promised and over delivered! He quoted me three weeks and the job was completed in less than two weeks from our initial meeting! Yes they had a time slot open up, good weather was a factor I’m sure, but he called me and said “we can come and do the roof earlier than quoted is that ok ?” #3 No surprises! I was quoted and billed the same dollar amount! They did a complete tear off, installed a new roof on my home and also replaced a missing piece of fascia. The house looks great! #4 When we were talking about the job, he took the time and educated me about the choices between metal and shingles! I highly recommend Sunset Roofing LLC. AFrom the start Roman was a pleasure to work with, he came out gave an estimate including that there may be additional plywood that needed to be replaced after walking the old roof (this wasn't a shock to me) The work was scheduled and the workers arrived early, did the complete job in one day and cleaned up the work area so you'd never know they were there. I had a minor problem with the boot on one vent pipe and Roman had someone out the next day to replace it. Roof looks fantastic, was the price quoted, pleasant people to work with and a functional roof you can have faith in as they stand by their work 100%. I would trust this business to provide quality work at a fair price all the time. They will have my return business and high recommendation!

CThe initial call to this company was answered promptly and a representative came to give an estimate. The original proposal said that work would begin the week of July 13. On July 28th, a crew swarmed my home. They placed plastic tarps over my boxwood hedges, which, by the end of the hot day, burned the tops and turned them totally brown. They also broke the top off of my favorite vintage Chicago Peace rose bush, which has bloomed in front of my house for years before I bought it in 1999. They left in their wake my gutters, haphazardly reattached, leaking, filled with water and discarded water bottles, nails and asphalt debris from the old roof. In addition, they removed, without my authorization, a portion of gutter downspout that was routed through the gambrel roof and roofed over on the front while leaving a hole in the back. Since they left, I have had to pick up bags of lunch garbage and water bottles left on both my neighbor's and my property and in the street, as well as chicken wing bones, cheese, cigarette packs and butts, nails, large chunks of old asphalt singles and other debris. Our contract stated that a new gutter would be placed on our garage, but that did not happen until August 8th, after several phone calls. At that time, the gutters on the house were supposedly cleaned, repaired and reattached. I asked the contractor that day to please replace the downspout that was removed and covered over and was told with a wink that "I've been doing this for 30 years" and that my husband had told him it was OK to do what he did. My husband has subsequently told me that he did not give his authorization to do so. I asked the contractor that he at least cover the hole left on the back side of the gambrel roof so that animals and insects could not get in there and he said that he would do it, but he didn't. I can only imply that he said that to appease "the little woman," not knowing that "the little woman" was the one who wrote the check. You can be certain that "the little woman" will not be writing a check to this company in the foreseeable future. As a postscript, I owned a small cottage on Seneca Lake which needed a new roof. I called this company for help and was told that someone would come to give me a quote, but it never happened. Guess it wasn't a big enough job to bother with.

AEverything went great. Justin and his crew were very professional, worked safely and left everything clean and debris free. Justin was in the middle of the quotes I received, but was able to complete the project much sooner than the other contractors. He performed all work as promised and also went the extra mile to transition the downspout color from white to black to match the barn color scheme. Fantastic! Give this young hard working company a shot, they won't let you down.

AMax is a terrific architect. Like many people during this quarantine, I’m thinking about building a deck for my yard. I’ve interviewed many architects and Max was by far the most responsive, thorough and patient architect. During the interviewing process, Max was the only architect who took the time to understand my project and provided advice. He also looked up my town’s code and informed me of my options. When looking for a surveyor, he took the time to speak w/ them and explain the request. I would highly recommend Max!

AMy initial contact with Leelands was 10 years ago. I really admired the work they had done on my neighbors house. I just couldn't afford slate repair or replacement at the time. The employees were always courteous and patient. Fast forward to May 2018, I had exhausted all the patching my roof could take. I contacted Leelands, Donna promptly scheduled Luke to come out for an estimate. Luke was on time and provided honest feedback. I recieved a Photo Report, Field Condition Report and Proposals a few weeks later. It took me a few more months to decide how to proceed. In October, Leelands sent Gabriel and Miguel to make the repairs. They were prompt, courteous and worked diligently to finish the job. After a rainy 2018, my roof is still leak free.
