The work they did was solid enough, however a new assistant workman apparently in training came with the employee who'd done work for us previously, and the new guy wasn't especially courteous or even cooperative.  We'd asked that the water line which they were attaching the new 'pex'-tube line to, have a suspender added because the main is simply hanging free of any tethering at the point where the new line's attached.  2nd 'hand' said he would and then didn't after all.  Also tho the more professional of these two guys explained that the faucet we'd purchased in advance, was NOT really designed for our sink they made it work okay as agreed--however they had to be called back to caulk around the base of it because the gasket included with the faucet wasn't preventing leakage.  Something they obviously should've made sure of before leaving the first time 'round.  It would've been alright enough had they at least done a neater/decent job of caulking after our having to schedule yet another appointment which shouldn't've been necessary ... however the caulking work that was done in the most highly visible place was utterly sloppy and unsightly.  Not entirely pleased second time 'round with them, and can only recommend them mainly for rough-work or anything more basic and generally out of sight, as their own results.

It started out slow due to the floor needing to be braced and leveled. But after the room was squared and leveled and the floor was finally done it went along smoothly. Rick cleaned up after each day of work. He kept his piles of supplies neat and compressed into a small area. We had also asked him if he could make a two outlet socket that was in our bedroom a four outlet socket and he did. That wasn't apart of the contract.

As to his professionalism he did rather take liberties without either asking or warning us, such as taking it upon himself to remove a door to a bedroom in order to bring in some large sheets of building material.  Under the circumstances he'd inconsiderately trespassed upon our son's privacy and moved some of his personal belongings at his own in-discretion, throughout the room.  Also the first tub ordered was mismeasured and though he had no assistant and help was offered he insisted upon handling the tub himself.  In the process of dragging it back down stairs single-handed (despite help being readily available) he managed to gouge our stairway woodwork, and broke off the downstairs dimmer switch.  He said nothing of these fairly minor incidences to anyone, and merely tried to re-glue the plastic parts of the control-knob with wood glue, which of course didn't hold for more than about a week.  Made no further attempt to either apologize or remedy these damages.  We've since discovered that the bathrooms new exterior window frame-out ledge was left unpainted and raw. So on the down side, you may want to keep a close eye upon his progress, understanding that as 'do it yourselfer's' go, though he is one of the best, he is also rather stubborn and cavalier about it doing things 'his way'.  ;  )
